When I first arrived I hesitated, the door was boarded up and it was in a slightly seedy strip mall. I am glad I didn't turn away, I was greeted warmly when I entered. The woman immediately told me about their walk up special of $12.99 for 2 topping large pizza or $15.99 for unlimited toppings. I ordered the unlimited and piled it on! I was told to return in 10 mins so I walked around a few blocks. When I returned I was greeted by the chef who walked out to meet me with a hot pie! The pizza was flavorful and full of tasty toppings. I will say the pizza could have been a pinch more done on the crust, but otherwise perfect.

The Broadway was a staple yet delicious meat pizza with sausage and bacon.. and maple syrup?! VEGETARIAN - The 4Maggio was the most amazing cheese pizza that had HONEY on top! This has been a game changer and I can't believe more places don't put honey on top? Be warned, it does also have a truffle oil so you will get a bit of that flavour. I like truffle - my partner isn't the biggest fan. Vegetarian was simply loaded with all the good stuff! Artichokes, red onions, feta, red peppers. It was a solid pizza. Also with honey! Drool. You can also get some small little containers of oil to pour over your pizza that levels up your pizza.

A little curious as to what this restaurant is trying to be, but the saving grace is that the…read morecheesecakes and service are pretty decent. What I mean by that is - well, you know how red flags are raised when a restaurant has way too many things on their menu? The reasoning there is that there's no way someone can be good at making THAT many dishes. Well, when I walked into Calories, I just wasn't really sure what it was trying to be. The storefront looks like a cute cafe, the cash and display case make it look like a bakery, the bar behind makes it look like a homey pub, and the tables in the back make it look like a nice fancy restaurant. So I was pretty confused about what kind of place this was. Nevertheless, we sat down and ordered a slice of the toffee cheesecake and a slice of the Saskatoon berry lemon yogurt cheesecake. I had been hearing rave reviews about the toffee all weekend, and although the texture is perfectly creamy and crust is beautifully crumby, was it worth the $10 for a single slice? Not sure. The berry cheesecake had a wonderful lemon flavor, but it tasted a little stale, like it had been in the case for a day or two. Our server was personable, friendly, and very professional. A nice place to come once when visiting town, but I'm not sure how often I would come if I was a local.

I am a Calories fan!!! For special occasions…read more It enables me to create my own ambiance at home, without needing to bake, n I'm very particular. Why? Because I'm a professional 20+ yr retired baker myself!! So, I want the best quality for my money. If I'm going to spend, give me the best, n it's found here. The desserts are made from scratch, and are fresh every time. Beware, lol, you'll be tempted to buy 1/2 or the entire dessert!! However, because it's made right, it will last in your fridge until it's gone. They use top ingredients, that's why. Taste the difference, here. The owners are great, and dedicated. Club Sandwich is great!!! I also love their holiday meal specials. In fact, last year, I gave gifts away, from this place. What a great way, to celebrate the holidays!! When people already have everything, buy them this. Because it helps make memories for them at home.

My first time trying out @thegranadahouse and it was a good experience!…read more Both Mr C and I got the Sirloin Special which consists of Sirloin Steak, salad, side veggies , garlic toast and potato of choice for $18! Nowadays, I think that's a good deal for the amount of food and quality. The salad was a side dish but it was so beautiful it looked like a main (small) dish! They did went a little heavy on the dressing but I rather it be heavy than too light. 'Twas a good start to the meal! Next is the steak; I asked my steak medium done but it was more of a medium well - which honestly - didn't matter cause it was even better than I expected. It had a really nice charred look AND flavour that once I took that first bite, I just kept on eating! However, as I was getting close to the second half, it got more salty I had to take a bite of steak then a bite of carrots to ease saltiness. Which leads to the next item... Carrots = super soft = YESSSS I LOVE IT! No complaints here No picture for garlic toast but it was okay; I would've liked it more if it was more toasted but I still scarfed it down I got lemon roasted potatoes while Mr C got loaded baked potatoes. We both enjoyed our potatoes very much I do think the lemon roasted could have a bit more flavour but it was still good nonetheless! Last but not least - my second favourite item of the entire meal : French Vanilla Cheesecake I normally don't order desserts cause it's overpriced for one slice BUT it's French vanilla cheesecake!! I couldn't help myself but order to try it and it was amazing. I loved it so much I don't regret ordering it at all It actually gives me inspirations to try making it myself In conclusion, Granada House is definitely a hit on my list and I recommend going for a nice dinner out! It has a very nice family friendly, cozy interior Oh and service was excellent Even tho some flavours were off, I would still order it again as it might've just been a one-off
