I bought a used bike and just wanted it looked over to be sure it was safe and put together correctly. I dropped by a local store in Venice only to find out they couldn't get to it for a week! I called Venice Bike and Trikes and spoke with Joe. He was so helpful and polite on the phone and said THEY would come to me...TODAY with in 2 HOURS! Jason came by and adjusted several things on my bike and even gave me pointers on my tire pressure, brakes and riding safe on Casey Key. He was so polite! Fantastic service!!! Kim read more

Great service and the bikes were high quality. The only thing I would suggest to the shop is providing a bike light so if you find yourself riding at dusk you have more visibility with a flashing light. read more

Fantastic bike rental shop with truly outstanding customer service. The Bikes & Trikes team are friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure we had the right bikes and fit for our ride. Rental & check in/out couldn't be easier with delivery and pick up right at your door! Bikes very well-maintained. They make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable-- with drop-off and pick up wherever you are staying. Highly recommend if you want great bikes *and* great people. read more

I requested service to have a tire inter tube repaired on my bike. its an older bike. When Jason saw the bike I was told that it was a f***king piece of s**t and he was very nasty and rude to me . Said he was afraid I would get in an accident on the bike at some point and blame him ..lol!! Get real. Very unprofessional.. Then he calls my job and tells my employer that I was drunk and rude towards him . Do yourself a favor and do business with a different bike shop. read more

Excellent customer service. I messed up my reservation and when I reviewed the confirmation email, realized my error. I called the next morning and spoke with Joe. He was great. Friendly, efficient and was able to accommodate my changes. I highly recommend this shop!! read more

Fantastic service. Couldn't have been more accommodating. The brought bikes and helmets and whatever we needed RIGHT TO OUR DOOR. AMAZING. read more

This company provided excellent service at a fair price. The bikes were Trek and in excellent condition. Drop-off was on time and worry free. Jason and Joe are incredibly responsive (and just really nice guys). I brought one of my own bikes down and had multiple problems. Jason put on new handle bars, fixed a flat tire (before I even woke up) and put the chain back on. Every time I called they got back to me promptly. I left for home with my bike like new. I recommend Venice Bikes and Trikes over other shops. This is the second year I have rented from them. read more

The drop off was super convenient and the bikes were well maintained. Venice is a wonderful biking town.

These guys are awesome. I needed an adult trike for my mom. They delivered it on the front porch. I didn't even hear them. they picked it up the same way. These people really know what they are doing. read more

They delivered bikes just as they said. Actually a little early. The bikes were excellent. We had two minor issues which they corrected the next day. We rode them all over the place! Good product and a good price. read more

We called last minute for bikes to be delivered to a Sarasota state park. Joe was very friendly and accommodating. He spent about 20 minutes with us on the phone giving biking options between the park and Venice. Price was reasonable. Will definitely use them again. Lots of fun. read more

Can't say enough great things about these guys. We spoke to Joe on the phone, + he was super nice, knowledgeable & accommodating. They bring bikes to you! We are in Sarasota visiting, + drove down near Venice to ride a rail trail. Jason met us with bikes + helmets. When we were done with our ride we just locked the bikes up + called to let them know they could be picked up. Great service, great bikes, super fun day. Thanks guys! read more

I rented a bike for a week. Tropical storm Debbie came through and I missed four days of riding. I asked if they would cut me a break on a few days and let me keep the bike for a few extra days. They said "no," I explained that the bike shop on 41 allowed my brother to keep his bike for four extra days at no cost. They refused to give me any kind of break! They claimed since we know so much about the weather that they don't give breaks. I explained that the weather call for the storm to go northwest, so their policy is based on a faulty system, and besides this was a very rare occasion. "no deal.". I will take my business to bicycle international, they gave my brother the bike no questions asked! So much for understanding. read more

Had visitors who enjoy active outdoor activities. A bike ride on the Legacy Trail promised to be a great time. Bikes and Trikes had very good bicycles, delivered as promised...overall fantastic service at a reasonable price. We will be calling them again in the near future, Thanks Joe and Jason! read more

I reserved two bikes about two days prior to the Sunday my friends and I went bike riding on the Venice bike trail. The bikes were dropped off in person and waiting for us at Shamrock Park. Another friend called that morning and had a bike dropped off at Centennial Park at the gazebo, where we all met up to continue biking on the trail. We called when we got back to our cars at Shamrock Park and the bikes were picked up. Each basic bike was $23. It included a basket and a bike lock. Service here was pleasant and convenient, and very nice option to rent a bike for the day. read more

Great experience with them! The person on the phone was pleasant and very helpful arranging our recent rental. We rented two men's and two women's cruisers. They offer helmets, baskets and locks with rentals. A nice young man met us at Shamrock Park at the appointed time with bikes and made sure we were all set before leaving the bikes with us for the day. He gave us tips on the nearby trails and a City of Venice Bike Map as well. We pedaled off and had a very enjoyable day on the trails. Will use them again! read more

Best service i've ever had renting bikes down to all the details ( even converting cm into inches for me) and advice. He delivered the bikes at our vacation rental in Osprey without extra charges. Bikes were really nice, plus locks etc. included. Great guy. Annette read more

You call these folks, tell them the number and types of bikes you need and where you want them dropped off. They deliver and on-time! My wife and I rented two hybrids and headed out on the bike path along the intercostal waterway. More than an hour in, my wife got a flat. We called and within 20 minutes we had a replacement bike and were back on track. These guys run a unique bike service in an area it seems they can manage well. They are friendly and responsive. All we had to do was leave the bikes locked at the agreed to location at our hotel. Done deal and we will do it again next year. Thanks for making our biking day a success. read more

Bad experience. Delivery guy arrived late and blamed me. I always know when my appointments are scheduled. Bikes in poor condition.

Excellent service! I rented a road bike from Beach Bikes & Trikes to do the Venice Y triathlon. They delivered it and picked it up after at no extra charge! Even took a few minutes to adjust my seat for me and walk me through the gears. It was $30 for a day (24 hrs) - amazing rate after hearing what other athletes paid. Best place to rent a bike in Venice hands down! I'll definitely be using them in the future! read more

Very convenient and accommodating. When reserving the bikes, they asked about our sizes and experience level, etc. and selected bikes perfect for us. They delivered the bikes on time to our hotel on Casey Key and suggested several possible rides. Helmets, locks, and baskets (if desired) are included. When finished, we locked the bikes outside our room and they picked them up while we were out at the beach. All for $23/day per bike. Very pleased and highly recommend! read more

Great bike rental. Called and they were at my door within 2 hours. Best bike ever...comfortable seat, easy pedaling. Called to extend for a day, no problem, picked up bike within an hour of calling. Highly recommend. Wonderful people and service. read more

This is a bike rental service that does not have a store - we drove to the address given and found nothing. Upon phoning the number I discovered that they are strictly a delivery and pick up service. You order the kind of bike you want, make a reservation and they deliver it either to your home or to the bike trail. We were interested in renting bikes for a day for my son and his family who were visiting. My son is a competitive cyclist, and the kids, ages 9 and 7, are experienced mountain bikers. My husband and I, however, had not ridden in nearly 40 years, but we wanted to join them, so we rented cruisers for ourselves. Jason arrived promptly at 9 a.m. as promised, but he was one adult bike short, and one of the kids' bikes had brakes that did not work well. That little bit of confusion is my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. They did send two more bikes right away though, and we had a delightful day. I would recommend their service to anyone in the Venice area who wants to try out bike riding, even if it has been years since the last ride. Just be very specific about what you want to be sure there are no mix ups. read more
