well ive been thru horrendous childbirth, pancreatitis,& 3 hip replacements. nothing left me…read morebending over & wretching like their portapotties. even tho it's an hours drive, took my 2 friends to see this place which i have grown to love and they were sick of hearing me talk about it. Shakespeare once penned "to thine own self be true." i would pen this as "keep thine own manure to thyself." have been going here for years BECAUSE ITS UNUSUAL.BECAUSE ITS HIGH END. yet nature called this time. when i asked about a restroom they pointed me to the back where the porta potties are. the first one i opened was simply a predessor of what was to come. the other two left me w an impossible choice. i was trying not to dry heave entering the chosen one which was a slim comparison of the lesser of the other 2 evils. by the time i got to the front entrance where the car was parked i was bent over the car holding onto dear life with persistant vomiting onto the gravel. i felt so pretty. my friends would not go to lunch as planned as their description of my dryheaving in the car & my green face did not lend itself to eating. to not describe these portolets is not spareing you dear reader, but myself from the visuals that would prompt unyielding dryheaving every. single. time. that i think about this.my problem with this: i have a pretty strong stomach. my dad in the medical field would come home for dinner & while we were eating could easily talk about such subjects as pus. im no stranger when it comes to intestinal fortitude. these portolets were otherwordly disgusting, which to me were a complete insult to their customers who are spending small fortunes. i have never left there spending less than $300.00. and I'm on a pretty tight budget but I plan & save to come here. and most of their customers did not fall off the turnip truck or are backwoods farmers looking for something "purdy." show some respect to your customers. you want me to spend $250. 00 on some little garden ornament then clean up your act. make sure you use a real bathroom before coming here. "to thine own manure be true."

I am greatly looking forward to when I change this from a two star to a five star review…read more Almost exactly a year ago hayfields was sold to new owners. At the time, hayfields was popular, but suffered from a variety of challenges that made it subpar. While it did have a nice array of pastries and some prepared foods, etc., its coffee was always abysmal. And for some strange reason the centerpiece of the customer ordering counter was an always-broken coffee machine that takes horrendous pods to make your coffee. I've popped in several times since the change of ownership. The changes I've noticed are some improvements to the building (e.g. new concrete), an 80% reduction in the array of products offered including the elimination of most of the bakery cases and the prepared food section, and the broken unplugged pod machine still center stage. It's been a year. Granted it can take some time to evaluate a newly acquired business and get it up on its feet and pointed in the right direction. But... It's been a year. Today my traveling companion ordered a coffee, took one sip, and threw it in the garbage. I ordered a green tea, it was made with boiling water - anyone in the restaurant business knows that green tea is made with 180° water (if it's made with boiling it immediately turns bitter and undrinkable) - and it went directly into the garbage. Hayfields could be a winning business. It has the good fortune to be located in a coffee desert. Why it is taking so long to transform the business is a mystery. I'll check it out again in six months and see if it's turned in the right direction.

So happy I opened yelp and found this place!…read more Pictures don't do it justice. So many eclectic seating nooks - and two outdoor seating spaces. They have beautiful fresh flowers and a table with an array of items that would make great gifts! Also loved to see the flower bar area - I bet it's a fun space for classes! The Healthy Wrap was fresh and delicious! The cold brew tasted more like a watered down iced coffee (not strong but not bad!) Free wifi. Gender neutral restroom. Accessibility is debatable, with an unevenly paved parking lot, and small bathroom with difficult to open door. Would hope to see improvements in that area Definitely worth stopping in for a bite... horses and dogs eat free!
