I asked if he would mind if we took the wheel apart on the street and we might need grease to use the spare parts I have with me. He said go right ahead. He checked on our progress and when we decided the Dexter brake assembly was the problem, he helped us find a new brake assembly nearby. We were so blessed by his expert assistance as we were traveling east from South Dakota to New Jersey. Such great help, the community of Tinley is blessed by his expertise.

Around 3pm, I called to see how the work was going, I was told they would call me back. Received a call back that the car was ready for pick-up. The window was fixed no parts needed just a bent regulator in the door panel. When we returned home, we noticed the door panel was NOT installed correctly (SLOPPY WORK) and the top of the window sill had a little grease on it I had to clean with a cloth. I called them back and to let them know the door panel was not installed correctly and would be back in the morning. We returned to Tinley Auto the next morning and the door panel was correctly installed in (10 minutes). On the way home, I stopped for fuel and pushed the gas button on the lower left driver's side door panel, the VW trunk opened. When I pushed the trunk button, the gas door popped opened. SOOOOOOOOOO, I had to call them "AGAIN" and mentioned the wiring wasn't hooked up correctly to the door panel. Drove back to Tinley Auto so they could correctly hook up the wiring to the gas and trunk buttons. I mentioned that they should knock off some money I paid for labor and this aggrivation. I haven't seen any discount for what I paid to get this LOUSY SERVICE! I WOULD NEVER USE TINLEY AUTO AGAIN AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, THEY DO SLOPPY WORK!

Besides I rather see the small working man get the money instead of the overcharging big businessman. Chris is busier than all get out but he knew I needed the car so he told me to drop it off and he would try to look at it asap. 3 hours later Chris called me and told me it was a $27.00 part and the job would cost me $115.00 parts, labor all in. Wow, sure go for it soon as you can. He has to get the part first so no idea when it would be done but it's on his list of things to do. About 2 hours later he called, and car was done, Fantastic, same day in and out for a new customer and saved me from getting ripped off by my dealer. Saved me $1685.00. Ever since then he gets all my business and a lot of times I stop by and he takes 5 minutes and a little Chris magic and I am good to go, no charge. Chris is a man that is trying to earn a living rather than getting rich. I trust him completely as well as my sons that started driving. All these years that I have been going to Chris, I have never seen his bay empty. His is always working, even when he talks to me he is still working on a car. He busts his ass for everyone and doesn't break your bank. It's a blessing to know that there are still honest mechanics out there. He doesn't advertise or even have his number on the window. All his customers are word of mouth. I asked once if he thought of fliers for new business, he told me he has more than enough. Can't say enough good stuff about the man. No doubt, best mechanic in the area, He has never failed me or my family. I would give him 6 stars if I could. How many businesses have a solid rating like Chris? Not enough, people could learn from him. Once you go to him for a car problem, he will remember your name and your car. He actually help me find my son's first used car. He knew the person and the car, he said it was a solid deal so we got it and never had a problem with the car yet. My son has no idea how lucky he is. 4 years and still running great. Will not disappoint work wise or price wise. I only wish there were more Chris's in the world. Just can't say enough. Satisfaction Guaranteed, you not only get a honest mechanic, your gain a friend. That's better than any dealer.

Long story short, never schedule auto body repair for an electric vehicle (or any car with a lot of sensors) within 2 weeks of going on a road trip. In terms of the actual work done, CDE did an awesome job with our car, a Mustang Mach E (electric). It had damage to the front bumper that required the front bumper to be replaced. We scheduled the work 2 weeks before my road trip. The work itself was flawless, car looks brand new. What really impressed me was the attention to detail, considering how reasonable their pricing was. They also cleaned the car by hand externally, but it looks like they cleaned up the car inside too. Unfortunately, they required a local Ford dealer to validate the sensors on the car were working after the repair. So, a week after we dropped it off at CDE (And the work was complete for the bumper), CDE then dropped it over at the Ford dealer. CDE made it clear that they cannot control the turn around time at the Ford dealer, but we (wrongly) assumed that it would only take a day or two. Myself and my wife started to freak out because we were not getting updates from the Ford dealership over the course of a week. At one point, the Ford dealer was telling us they did not even have our car! So, my wife and I become pesky, persistent and annoying with both the Ford dealer and with CDE. Thankfully, after a lot of back and forth and phone calls (literally 4 within a few hours at one point), we finally got our car... 1 hour before we would have had to had delay our road trip and potentially miss out on seeing some of our friends (and one of our best friend's parents is dying of cancer, so it meant a lot for us to make this trip happen). I really appreciated that everything got done beautifully, in the nick of time, but due to the amount of calls and annoyance that we created, I'd rather not show my face here again.. haha..

The staff was consistently friendly and professional, which is why I returned after someone hit my car three months ago. However, this experience was very different. Not only had they relocated, but the estimate I received was shockingly high. The representative even told me the quote wasn't final and that the cost could increase, which raised immediate concerns. I decided to get two additional estimates, and both were significantly lower CDE's quote was over $1,000 higher than the others. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed.

My two previous honest, trustworthy mechanics had retired years ago. I had resorted to going into a dealership, but felt that I was being pushed to get me to spend unnecessary money and/or being overcharged for things which maybe didn't need to be done. During the recent January cold spell, my battery started acting up. Then it conked out. Fortunately, a friend had discovered JNJ. He was quite pleased with Ojay's work, honesty, and fair prices for several repairs on his car. I called early on 1/22/25. I told Ojay I needed a new battery. He got all my info and said he would try to get a battery asap. Within an hour, he called me back. He had a battery. We set up an appointment for noon time when he had an opening in his schedule. I mentioned how the dealership was emailing and pressuring me for several months to get new tires. He said he would check that out. Ojay is fantastic. Angie at the front desk is top notch. The battery replacement didn't take very long. Oscar said my tires had more than 50% tread left - no need to buy new ones yet. With Ojay I felt that I was being treated fairly, honestly, and respectfully. Excellent service. I will be taking my car to JNJ for all future repairs and servicing on my car.
