When I was planning my trip to Mexico City, this restaurant was one of the restaurants that I was the most excited for; I love birria tacos and I couldn't wait to try it in Mexico. Unfortunately, I left Veguísima feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by a worker and told to sit anywhere. The restaurant has outside-only seating, but they make it work. They can sit a lot of people and although outside, it feels cozy. Shortly after sitting down, another employee approached me and asked what I'd like to order. I excitedly ordered the Quesa-birrias, a dish that had been on my mind for over a month. After about 8 minutes, I saw my order coming towards me. I smiled as my server placed my dish in front of me, it looked phenomenal. I could've cried at that moment because of how happy I was, I've never seen a dish look so good. Unfortunately, that's where the greatness ended. I took my first bite and was hit with a wave of disappointment. For a while, I tried to convince myself that it was good, but I soon came to terms with the fact that I did not like it. It was horribly bland. I tried to add salsa or dip it in excess consome - didn't matter, still bland. My mind couldn't compute why it looked so flavorful yet tasted the complete opposite. I was sad that my first meal in Mexico City was so bad, and I truly felt like I had wasted my money. I don't feel good about sending food back in other countries, so I accepted my loss and paid without a word. Overall, the ambiance is nice and the servers were kind. I did not like the Quesa-birrias at all, but I'd revisit to try another dish.
Friendly service, supertasty, well-presented food, lots of gluten-free options, everything vegan. Only drawback is limited seating - true for all my fave CDMX eateries, to be fair. Best thing I've had so far has been the enchiladas. Interestingly, on the menu they are simply listed as "enchiladas". On my second visit (a week after the first), I ordered them again and the server told me, "Last time you were here they were rojas. Today verdes. Is that okay?" I was impressed by that. The miso soup was a bit salty the one time I ordered it, but chock full of healthy things. Looking forward to visiting again soon - will it be a red or green enchilada kind of day? Makes no difference to me, they're equally delicious.
The outdoor seating is a nice aesthetic that takes you away from the regular sidewalk mentally and physically. The waitress was very kind, food came out promptly. The water of the day was a hard pass, tasted like water with peppermint extract. The water pictured was fancy and tasted like great ole H20. The vegan burrito has chorizo (vegan obvi), cooked with potatoes and some other items. With it came melted vegan cheese (I'm not vegan so it was hard to consume) and fresh carrots and lettuce with cabbage. It was nice but the enchiladas were really tasty with lentils in them. The smokey salsa on our table made the food taste even better.
We ate here for breakfast. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty. I got the chilaquiles and spouse got the TofuMex. TofuMex was great but hubby doesn't like any cheese (vegan or otherwise), so I had to eat his beans that were topped with vegan Parmesan. Wish they had indicated it came with cheese on it so we could have asked for it without. I personally wasn't a big fan of the Parmesan, but I am very hard to please with vegan cheese. Would definitely go again to try more things.
Buen hecho!!! This was amazing. We ordered the chilaquiles, burrito Chori-Queso, and papas diablas. I can't even pick a favorite because they were all so good! The service was incredible we had our beers within 90 seconds of ordering them and the food was also quick! The outdoor ambience was 10/10 in one of our favorite neighborhoods of the city. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back!
Muy.bien este lugar. This place is the bomb I loved everything that I ordered everything is bomb!! the tacos are bomb the hot drinks are popping!! . The kind waiters, so attentive. And the food is quickly made fresh to order in case you hate waiting. just go eat here . And everything is fully vegan north the prices of milk or cheese or egg.
The burrito was my favorite thing! So full of delicious veggies and the flavors blend quite nicely. I could've eaten the whole thing but shared it with a friend. Also had a pulled pork taco and the seitan al pastor taco both were a pleasure to eat. The outside seating was very nice as well. They brought out an assortment of hot sauces too and they were all such great additions to the tacos and burritos. For all those that are vegan this is a must visit.
Looking for a Vegetarian place for my mom, and we drove like 45m to arrive to this tiny place. This is not really a restaurant, is mostly one of those small / petite/ juices bar... The staff was ok, and the food not impressive or delicious.... the presentation on the other hand, was GREAT and very professional. They need to work more in their dishes, to taste more scrumptious and not that plain. Is located in the desirable Condesa/Roma district and well... lots of options to eat if you are here! Hopefully they will improve...
A more casual place to eat brunch and drink coffee. They did an amazing job accommodating my walk-in party of 6 non-Spanish speakers, even with a small patio. The french toast was made with delicious bread and came with a vibrant fruit sauce. The chilaquiles were pretty spicy, so my grandma had to trade them in for a slice of banana bread, which was perfect for her. The coffee was delicious, the delicious food was plated beautifully, and the staff were very helpful. So great to have vegan breakfast options in Mexico city.

Our first meal in cdmx and it was a great way to start. We all got the chile carmen ? Burritos and they were SO delicious and filling after we were all starving from the flight. I highly recommend their juice- the carrot one was so concentrated and delicious. The vegan cheese they use is incredible. Loved! read more

Good food, we ordered the guacamole as a starter with the wheat chicharron-- es muy delicioso!! We also ordered the jugo de verdoli (manzana, jingembre, limon(?) y celery)-- es delicioso tambien! read more

Darn good food at great prices. Quesa-Birrias and passion fruit kombucha mocktail were both amazing. Check their IG for hours bc Google isn't up to date. read more

Stuffed avocados with mushrooms were delicious. The vinaigrette was light and refreshing. Lentil taco was really tasty too. read more

We enjoyed the stuffed avocado ( setas/chorizo) and a mushroom bbq burrito, and I must say: Jesus!! It was amazing. The vegan food scene in Mexico City is unparalleled! Los Angeles doesn't even come close. and the cherry on top: home-brewed Kombucha. I can go to heaven now. read more
It's good, fresh and one of the decent vegan options in a meat obsessed city. The chocolate tart itself deserves 5 stars on its own. Sadly the rest of the meal was just off flavor wise. I know it takes some culinary talent to make all veggie meals taste really appetizing and I was t expecting fine dining levels here, but flavors and textures were just too simple and somewhat unbalanced. A solid 3.5 for a simple and very decent vegan fix when needed. read more
Veguisima shows you don't have to eat meat to have fabulous food in Mexico City! We came across some very good vegetarian and vegan restaurants and Veguisima is a solid choice in the Condesa area. If you like Los Loosers you should definitely go here also. I knew it would be good by looking at the color display of pictures. You have to get the aguacate relleno. It is an avocado covered with sesame seeds and all sorts of vegetables. Look at my picture if you need anymore motivation. We also enjoyed the enchiladas which you can get with three different fillings and half red and half green sauce. The Thai Broth is also worth ordering and a very good deal at under $4 USD. This Is one of those menus where if you like vegetables you really can't go too wrong. You can eat a lot of food easily for around $20 USD. This was a great finish to our CDMX vacation! read more

Cute spot right on the street with an amazing outside table setup. The flavors of the food was wonderful and hit the spot on first day in town from Los Angeles. Perfect if you are looking for some bomb flavored vegan food. read more

This little gem is a find. I ordered the "Gringa" and it was delicious. The service is attentive and prompt. I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual quick bite to eat. Only downside is that there is limited seating. read more

Found this place thanks to yelpers. A short walk from rental apartment, the reggae music and incense gave it away. Tried the enchiladas rojo and was super impressed with the depth of flavors. Not only that, they nailed the textures of the vegan cheese and crema. The size of the order is a generous 4 enchiladas. A bottle of strawberry kombucha completed the meal. Will I be back? Probably tomorrow! read more

I really liked the stuffed avocados with the lentils. I would definitely recommend it. The avocados are huge, I was worried it would turn out to be appetizer sized but it was a full meal for me especially with the chips. The lentil ceviche inside is soo good! I need to figure out how to replicate it at home. The other thing we ordered was the "inspiración del día" which was a quinoa and purple yam "cake." I really liked the yams, the dish was okay to me but my boyfriend really liked it and said it was filling. read more

This is a great vegan taco stand, perfect for a quick lunch. They take Mexican favorites and make them vegan. The menu changes daily and is "guisados" style. You pick the filling and put it on a tortilla, tostada, or torta. I had a delicious cauliflower and mango ceviche tostada, romeritos con mole taco, and a carrot tinga taco. They were all delicious. Tacos costs 20 pesos, tostadas 25, and tortas 35. Not much space so you might have to squeeze in or stand for your lunch. read more

I think this is my new favorite vegan place. The food is so delicious and fresh here. I got two tacos, a potato soup and tried some mango ceviche. The ceviche was not only so delicious but also very pretty. The tacos were very good, my favorite being the cauliflower and carrot taco. Also had some baked plantain with a ginger sauce, and the combo was surprisingly good. I'll definitely come back here to try their other dishes. read more
