I've only ordered out from here but have thoroughly enjoyed it! Utipia is a must if you're craving vegan food but not super healthy vegan food. I've tried their el pastor pizza and lasagna. Like all vegan restaurants, there is a funkiness to the place. Like the waitress seems high and doesn't bring you silverware, and disappears for periods at a time. The food is pretty good though and it's nice to have another vegan option in Condesa. Seating is super limited. There are maybe four tables. The owner is hot. read more

I came with my hubby and we shared 1 Hongos empanada, 1 Mexican hot dog, and one individual Hawaiian pizza (oh and 2 beers each). We had more than enough food -even vegan carbs fill you up! The space is small and we saw a few people get takeout as we were dining. The staff speaks English for the other travelers so that made it easier for us. Also we really enjoyed the music. Generally speaking, food is served quickly in restaurants in this neighborhood, except in the vegan restaurants, where for some reason everything takes a long time. We were in a rush and thought we'd stop here to pick up empanadas on the way. We ordered them to go, but we had drunk all of our agua del dia by the time they were ready... that's over 20 minutes! What were they doing, mixing the dough from scratch? Still, the food and drinks were delicious, and the prices reasonable considering it's a restaurant and not a food truck. I found Utopia on a rainy day last week. It's a small restaurant with a cafe-like feel. I'm not vegan, but because I don't have dairy there were a lot of great options for me. I ended up going with the vegan sopas, which were divine. The only slightly negative thing worth noting of my visit was that the big comfy-looking armchairs were actually really hard. Not a big deal at all, but if you're popping in for a hot drink and want a cozy spot to spend a few hours, that's probably worth considering. It wasn't an issue for lunch though! read more

Exceptional service and delicious sopecitos! This was one of my favorite meals in CDMX. The tortillas were perfect and the "meat" was awesome plus the beets and sauce put it over the top. Alright. We didn't feel like pizza so we just ordered a number of their small plates. We really liked the empanadas the best. The space is small and the seating is sort of funky/uncomfortable. This is an adorable little spot with about 6 funky cute tables and very modern eco chic decor. We had a hard time finding the place because Yelp took us to a different intersection than Apple maps, and then Google Maps finally got us where we were going. We had agua de día that was melón and apple and was very refereshing. I had gluten free sopecitos and my partner had the torta and papa relleno!! They were fresh and delicious and very filling. My favorite was the ICE CREAM...they brought us two flavors in the cutest little glasses and I was soooooo happy. There's tons of helado around Mexico but none of it is dairy free so this definitely satisfied my craving. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area! The staff was also SOOOOO KIND TO US and even though they didn't speak Spanish they went out of their way to use google translate to accommodate us.
