Great place to have a descent vegetarian meal. I've been to El Pan Comido twice and had good meals. Every time I walk by at lunch is very busy and during the weekend there's people waiting. The dishes have good flavor, are well season and portions are fare. It's sometimes easy to forget that it's all vegetarian! The service is pretty good. The waiters are friendly, quick and helpful. All in all, a solid place to stop for a veggie bite.

I ordered the "paquete" which is a soup and salad, drink and main item with bread (burger/sandwich/hot dog, etc.) it was a good deal and the burger I got was the Da Vinci which is a portobello burger. The mushroom is so delicious. I think it is marinated in something that gives it a slightly tangy taste. The sandwich my boyfriend ordered was the Morrissey sandwich. It had asparagus and he said it was good.

I went to Mexico about a year ago, and this little hole in the wall restaurant serves 5 course meals and five star ratings. The best part is that it is extremely affordable! I can truly say I loved it, and the atmosphere is greats they have tables out on the patios, and play cute music.

This place has really delicious vegetarian food! I had the Paquete with the portobello mushroom burger, soup of the day (spicy tomato and mushroom), a side salad with potatoes and carrots, and a fresh guayaba juice. The burger was really good but I tried a bite of my fiancées sandwich la Cubana and it was even better. The ambiance is charming with tables made out of old doors and charming outdoor seating. It was a great place to come for brunch and I will be back soon!

Amazing food! Great atmosphere, and you get so much for what you pay for! Definitely recommend coming here. Watch out, on Sunday mornings it gets a bit packed. Also the staff is friendly and they also speak a bit of English! They even have a menu in English.

Excellent chilaquiles, mochas, and Towering French Toast. In addition to great coffee there are great juice options: green, fresh orange juice. Patio seating as well.

Excellent option for vegans in CDMX. They offer a very diverse menu. I'd recommend the Milanese sandwich.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!

The food is alright, but massively overpriced and lacking flavour depth. We stopped in for dinner and were greeted by a very friendly, English-speaking server. I ordered the lentil soup (110 pesos) to start -- pretty tasty, but overpriced given what you get. My wife & I also shared the huitlacoche dumplings (150 pesos), which comes with 4 dumplings filled with a sort of corn-like filling and topped with a peanuty sauce -- tasty, but a rip-off for 4 pieces. For our mains, I got the protein bowl (280 pesos) and added some chickpea chorizon (25 pesos). Fairly boring but healthy bowl. Nothing really stood out. The tofu was not plentiful enough, nor prepared all that well. Satisyfing enough, but again, overpriced. My wife got the Enfrijoladas (265 pesos), a dish with pink tortillas filled with plantains, coconut cheese and almonds, all sitting in a black bean sauce. The tastes I had were pretty solid, but lacked flavour depth and needed some spices to amp it up. All in all, not worth the hype, especially if you're looking for authentic vegan Mexican. There are many other places worth prioritizing in town.

One note: if charging USA prices you really have to try to reach USA service expectations. 45 minute wait for tacos. I had to go find my own napkins and flatware.
