    Review Highlights - Veggo Sizzle

A very broad menu caters for a variety of tastes, my personal suggestion would be the noodle supremo which was delicious and fresh.

But do not let looks nor per-conceived ideas of "vegetarian" deceive you. I like Celeste, turn up my nose at the idea of anything with quinoa in it. Normally it means bland, cardboard tasting grit and not very appetising. However, this French, dread-locked, vegetarian must be putting "special mushrooms" or something in his burgers to make them taste so flavoursome, moorish and wholesome. Served up in a wholemeal roll with lettuce, avocado, chilli sauce and plenty of special salad mix this burger will fill you up from lunch to breakfast the next day and only for $10. Arguably, I took a bite of the haloumi and mushroom burger and had severe food envy with the extra kick the chutney gave to the burger - but that's not saying much considering mine was so good! You get a whole bunch of good karma from lunching with Veggie Velo, from the sustainability of it all to the lack of little baby pigs or lambs involved. But honestly, who cares? The food is so damn good I'd sacrifice something for a bite of Mr Velo's burgers.

Drag the non believers by the ear to this cart and order them their haloumi and mushroom signature burger, or like me, try something different like the lentil patty salad. Change their freakin lives. Was worth the ten dollar price tag, the takeaway came with caramelised onions and a fresh salad and was too tasty not to inhale all at once. I wish I could just throw all my money into getting these guys a permanent address as their mobile nature makes it hard to find them if you work weekends, the struggle is real! Dude just do it, you need this in your life. The chef is a crusader and a king amongst men.

After leaving Adelaide about 2 years, I still try to make their special winter drink turmeric milk at home. It's a gold, warm, sweet yet healthy drink with goji in it. And the peanut butter is still the best I've tried, maybe because they were directly pressed from real peanuts into butter in front of you. Go check it out if it still offering. And the desserts, oh their desserts, now I can only miss them in my mind--just want to have few slices right now! So creamy, smooth, yet no-burden to eat one or two. Don't miss this gem when hanging around at the market!

This extension of Goodies an Grains just shows how successful they are as a business. The Kitchen offers a range of lunch items (salads, sandwiches, pasties, slices & bars) and a juice bar. In fact, they cater for a lot of dietary requirements which is great to see. There are lots of gluten free, vego, vegan and paleo options. The juice menu is exactly the same as next door. But, since this is probably the most popular juice destination in the Adelaide Central Market, they keep themselves busy. The Glorious Green is what its name suggests. Packed full of refreshing green veg and fruit. This is like my pick me up or lunch sub when I am in a rush. Every time I have chugged this juice, I just get so much energy afterwards. It's earthy, not sweet. The celery in this one really stands out. So, if you are not a fan of earthy tasting green juices, order something else. Everything on the menu is great! I am sure you will find something that appeals to you.

However, this makes for limited space, especially during the hours of 12-1 when you would be extremely lucky to find a table. I've tried them all and really can't choose the best, it would be like favouring one child! The Thai Burger is always amazing, but just remember no matter which one you chose it will absolutely mouth-watering. The sizes are also ridiculously large. You get the option of having a whole or a half-burger. A half-burger is definitely enough to fill one very hungry person! The prizes are also very cheap with a half-burger setting you back less than $10. Dressed with a convoluted mix of mosaic picture frames, post cards of luxurious 80s holiday destinations (like Hawaii) and a mismatch of vinyl chairs and lino tables somehow blends together to make for a quirky, washed (not unwashed) hippie (not hipster) vibe. And the burger masterpieces created from the brain of this place (the kitchen) come with names like "Ab Fab" or "The Mexican" - all time classic hits that have been topping the foodie charts for 25 years in Adelaide. The menu is written on the most inconvenient spot in the cafe, but who needs to read about ingredients when you can just fall in love with the name and the vibe of a song - sorry - burger, right? Nothing is made with meat and every burger has some version of lentil or chickpea involvement. As Tom W mentioned, only go with half unless you have been starving yourself for a week and don't feel shy to ask for extra avo or hummus included. Although no Banana Pancakes are made in store and they ONLY except CASH in hand, you will fall in love with the aura and energy of this cafe, its staff and the hearty burger party going on inside that will make anyone's heart sing with joy.

SFC is one of the dishes and is basically fake popcorn chicken, but so much tastier. You can get it with chips, salad and a dipping sauce or even in a gourmet burger. The satay sauce is the best pick to accompany this one. Even a meat eater will appreciate this one. There is also a mixture of tea inspired fruity mocktails. I suggest trying the Fruit Medley if you have a sweet tooth, it's bright pink and the fruity floral flavor is orgasmic. I guarantee you will want to come back and try everything on the menu. It's natural, healthy, and tasty - too good to be true.
