Hookups worked as expected. The main pro for us is the convenience of a place to stop for the night to break up a long drive with the RV. Cons: The property is in need of some basic maintenance. There are ruts in the driveways between sites making it inconvenient when towing a trailer/RV (It's somewhat understandable since the soil is sandy and taking the climate into consideration). There are some overgrown trees that hang that need to be trimmed so they don't hit the top of RVs, it can take some careful maneuvering to avoid them. Overall this KOA is a convenient, quiet and friendly place to stay overnight which are big factors that we appreciate.

Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old.
