This place has a pretty good masseuse overall. I used to come here way back and the pricing was…read moreaffordable with good service. However, the last time I went (about a month ago), the massage didn't feel as thorough. It felt more like light touching on my arms and body rather than a full, deep massage, so I didn't walk out feeling fully relaxed. I might give it another try to see if it was just an off day. Parking was easy for the most part. I was able to park right on the street. One downside was that at times the masseuses were talking during the session, which kind of interrupted the relaxation experience.

West Covina Massage Spa (aka Refresh Health Center) recently opened in our neighborhood and my wife…read moreand I decided to stop in today to give it a try. We both took advantage of a 1-hour Full Body massage for $20. So, let me break it down, the $20 massage was half hour on the feet and lower legs and half hour on the back, neck, and arms. Mine was in a side area off of the lobby and my wife was in a private room. Our masseuses (and I believe owners) were Johnny and Aimee. Both massages were very good for really focused on being therapeutic, rather than relaxing. The massage areas were very clean. I used the restroom before my massage and it was clean and in good working condition, as well. Johnny and Aimee were both super friendly and offered insight on exercises we could do to help stretch and relieve stress between massage sessions. We'll definitely go back again. One tip, there's a rear entrance that's not too easy to see, it's kind of in the back of a little shopping center and the sign above the door only says, "Massage and Acupuncture". The same for the main entrance.

The things I enjoyed about this small locally owned massage place is they had a unique service of…read moreproviding an exfoliating massage. I would suggest getting the exfoliating portion done first and using lighter massage , because parts were a little painful. The massage itself was nice. I even fell asleep during the foot massage part of it. The reasons Im giving a 1 star are for the following reasons: 1. they didn't provide water when you leave, which is common in massage businesses 2. Demanding for a certain quantity for a tip seems unprofessional to me. 3. The place has not been updated with towels and such. 4. The dogs from Petco can be heard through the walls. I understand there isn't much that can be done, but a suggestion might be to turn up the calming relaxing music or provide complimented ear plugs to mitigate the barking. 5. I didn't appreciate the massage therapist sighing at me when I asked her to put less pressure.

It's ok. I went with my sister and they put us in the same room, well they kept talking then they…read morefinally went silent, but then one of them kept using her elbows to massage, my sister told her to please not use them as she was doing it to hard, she stopped but she continued, so before they actually start massaging you they kinda massage you on top of the sheet, I think to loosen up the body, and they get less tired since there's no oil involved, then the one massaging me kept going and going, while the one massaging my sister had already started with the oil, and mine hadn't even started, I think she took like 25 minutes (if not more) to actually start, we paid for 1 hour and 30 minutes, so I'm guessing they did what they did so they wouldn't get tired, but if your going to do all that they don't offer it. The next day my sister's body hurt really bad, she even had bruises (and she's not one easy to bruise, that's me) because of the elbow massages even though she told her not to. So won't be coming back.

In my opinion this AMP (someone called it), is really not bad..and I've been here twice already. I have been really satisfied with their service because the worker is very skilled and thorough...she puts her all into a comfortable experience and deep tissue massaging. I love this place and even though I haven't tried other places, I definitely think I'm getting my moneys worth here. Ill give them only 4 stars because I'm sure there are other places that maybe are better, but just more expensive . Will be coming here again and again.

The room I was given was all red from the walls and feeling like I was at a haunted house for Halloween. Maybe there is more rooms looking better? Idk. But my room was kind of weird. They will look at you very weird and will tell you righ away that the service they gave you including the private room deserves 20$ dlls tip Or More Just Saying. They should advertise customers before the service that they Require more than 20$ on tip. If you don't have cash for tips They will want to use your credit card just for tip. Yay, victory!! We booked a 1-hour couples Thai massage with Mona and Bee, and once the massage started, all that parking nuisance disappeared. I asked Mona to attack the stubborn knots in my traps, and wow... she ironed those things out really well!!!! It wasn't exactly gentle, but that's how I like it!! By the end, I felt loose, relaxed, and about 10 pounds lighter from all the tension. Yes, they do step on you, but only after asking first, so don't panic!! Afterward, they served hot tea and rice crackers, which was the perfect little cooldown. And please, tip your massage therapist well!! They work hard, and making people forget life's chaos for an hour deserves some love!!! A few things I'd do differently next time: * They provide shared shorts and an open-back tank top. My microbiology brain couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm bringing my own clothes next visit. * Hubby had a reaction to the massage oil/balm. Whether it was the product itself or possible cross-contamination, we'll just bring our own balm next time to play it safe. * No hot stones. Not a dealbreaker, but it would've been a nice bonus. For just $55 for a full hour of Thai massage, it's honestly hard to complain. Our regular spot in San Diego costs quite a bit more. Despite my little gripes, the massage itself was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back, this time armed with our OWN boxer shorts and massage balm!!!
