However, the last time I went (about a month ago), the massage didn't feel as thorough. It felt more like light touching on my arms and body rather than a full, deep massage, so I didn't walk out feeling fully relaxed. I might give it another try to see if it was just an off day. Parking was easy for the most part. I was able to park right on the street. One downside was that at times the masseuses were talking during the session, which kind of interrupted the relaxation experience.

West Covina Massage Spa (aka Refresh Health Center) recently opened in our neighborhood and my wife…read moreand I decided to stop in today to give it a try. We both took advantage of a 1-hour Full Body massage for $20. So, let me break it down, the $20 massage was half hour on the feet and lower legs and half hour on the back, neck, and arms. Mine was in a side area off of the lobby and my wife was in a private room. Our masseuses (and I believe owners) were Johnny and Aimee. Both massages were very good for really focused on being therapeutic, rather than relaxing. The massage areas were very clean. I used the restroom before my massage and it was clean and in good working condition, as well. Johnny and Aimee were both super friendly and offered insight on exercises we could do to help stretch and relieve stress between massage sessions. We'll definitely go back again. One tip, there's a rear entrance that's not too easy to see, it's kind of in the back of a little shopping center and the sign above the door only says, "Massage and Acupuncture". The same for the main entrance.

The next day my sister's body hurt really bad, she even had bruises (and she's not one easy to bruise, that's me) because of the elbow massages even though she told her not to. So won't be coming back.

The issue wasn't the quality of my massage, but my girlfriend's, who took a male masseuse, which was not an issue, but she is traumatized from being violated by the male masseuse who uncovered her towel(not a sheet) when she was on her backside, and completely exposed her breasts without permission. On top of that, he was leading up into her inner groins. My gf spoke to the main boss, but if she had apologized instead of justifying it with "well you said ok to male" and "he no speak English", welp, she said she's had many massages w male masseuse and that has never happened in the past. We asked for the money back, which was given. She's just worried for future women, because she still feels violated today.

In my opinion this AMP (someone called it), is really not bad..and I've been here twice already. I have been really satisfied with their service because the worker is very skilled and thorough...she puts her all into a comfortable experience and deep tissue massaging. I love this place and even though I haven't tried other places, I definitely think I'm getting my moneys worth here. Yay, victory!! We booked a 1-hour couples Thai massage with Mona and Bee, and once the massage started, all that parking nuisance disappeared. I asked Mona to attack the stubborn knots in my traps, and wow... she ironed those things out really well!!!! It wasn't exactly gentle, but that's how I like it!! By the end, I felt loose, relaxed, and about 10 pounds lighter from all the tension. Yes, they do step on you, but only after asking first, so don't panic!! Afterward, they served hot tea and rice crackers, which was the perfect little cooldown. And please, tip your massage therapist well!! They work hard, and making people forget life's chaos for an hour deserves some love!!! A few things I'd do differently next time: * They provide shared shorts and an open-back tank top. My microbiology brain couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm bringing my own clothes next visit. * Hubby had a reaction to the massage oil/balm. Whether it was the product itself or possible cross-contamination, we'll just bring our own balm next time to play it safe. * No hot stones. Not a dealbreaker, but it would've been a nice bonus. For just $55 for a full hour of Thai massage, it's honestly hard to complain. Our regular spot in San Diego costs quite a bit more. Despite my little gripes, the massage itself was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back, this time armed with our OWN boxer shorts and massage balm!!!
