What s great place and fun for everybody! Old school video arcade takes me back. Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Frogger, Star Wars...all the old faves are here. Lots of Pinball too. Flashback city with the music going. And the price is right. No quarters needed...just $5 an hour for unlimited play on all machines. $10 for all day pass. Its perfect set up to drop off the kids while you browse downtown. Plus they offer beer on tap, soda, kombucha...I show up here every week just to get the 80s groove going again. Some weekends can get crowded and at times a game may be hogged, but overall its a great t ime for cheap! read more

LOVED it! If you like retro arcade games & have an hour & $5 to spare, do yourself a favor & head on over to Vector Volcano Arcade. We came here on a Friday night around 8:45pm and were surprised that it wasn't all that crowded. They had a pretty good local beer and cider selection (4 beers on draft and a variety of cans), about $5/beer or $6 for bigger cans. The service was friendly and the environment was really chill. No screaming kids or belligerent drunks. Favorite thing: getting to play games over & over again to perfect my strategies without having to feel like I wasted quarters. I tend to suck at video games so they don't last all that long once they take my money, but here, I could play over and over without adding a single quarter! Something to improve: please add more cup holders to the games! read more

So fun! Our hour went fast at Vectors! For $5/hour, you can play unlimited arcade games. They have all the classics, plus some I'd never heard of...and I'm still as bad at all of them as I ever was. For starters, everything works perfectly, is clean, and the selection is great (old classics) - these alone make it a five star arcade in my book. what makes Vector the _best_ barcade is that it costs a flat $5/hour or $10/day to play. You spend what you would at any other arcade, but your only limit is time. You actually will feel encouraged to try out games you wouldn't normally play, and will most definitely find a new gem (I'm looking at you, Bubbles.) I can't recommend this arcade enough. read more

Ah man! Fun time! Took my daughter to Vector for some quality time. We both had loads of fun. Me reviving some long lost skills on Q Bert, Frogger and Off Road, her experiencing some old school arcade games. $5 for 1/2 hr unlimited was a price that I liked. When this arcade first came to downtown Bend, I was stoked. They had a lot of the arcade games from my childhood (including pinball), and once you paid the entrance fee of $5/hr, you could play whatever you wanted as many times as you wanted for the time you paid for. And you could order a beer, which was a change from my childhood, obviously. I took my kids there, and it was pretty cool to share something from my childhood with them...without having to stroll around with a few rolls of quarters. However, I just went in today (January 2019), and they've moved all the pinball machines to the front of the store, and changed them from being included in the price of admission, to excluded from the price of admission. If you want to play pinball, you might as well go to a bar, or to Sun Mountain Fun Center, or the movie theater, or any other place that has pinball because you now have to insert quarters, and from what I could see, it's not that much cheaper. Are retro games fun to play? Sure, for a bit. Is pinball worth the $.25 or $.50? Sure, for a few games. So is it worth it to go to downtown Bend and pay $5 to play retro arcade games PLUS another few bucks in quarters if you want to play pinball? You decide. It's not for me, and it's not for my kids, so I don't think I'll be back. read more

WOW. Just WOW. This place is simply incredible. Tons of vintage video games (even "Tempest" - a favorite from my childhood that I hadn't seen since the 1980s). Also, several great pinball machines, all in nearly perfect working order (my wife and I both love pinball). One of the coolest things about this place is their pricing structure...pay by the hour (or the day) not with annoying buckets of tokens or quarters. Pay your $5 (or $10) and just go for it! There is something for everyone here (including several good beers on draft for mom & dad)...you will NOT be disappointed! read more

This place used to be awesome. Came in today and they are now charging for the pin ball games. The left the price to get in the same. Didn't even tell us at the door. There was like 8 other people totally ticked off as well. Lame!! We won't be coming back unless they change it back. read more

Fun selection of games and most all looked in great shape. Most all are games from the 80's which gives off a very cool vibe in this smaller place. Couple beers on tap, a few in the bottle. Pay five bucks per head to get in for an hour. This is where you'll discover if you will come here more than once or not. In my opinion, there was not enough variety in games to justify the five dollars I paid. All are from the era of 25 cents per play (except two pinball machines). So, for the hour I was there, I figured I only played maybe three bucks worth in quarters, then, sadly, I got bored. What they needed was more DMD era pins, or shooters, or even a couple drivers. There just isn't enough fun couples games. Just not enough value for five bucks. They also need more seating...BADLY. There are a few stools dotted here and there, but they really should think about running some bistro tables down the center with two chairs a piece. That way you can take breaks when you get bored. Basically, its a cool little place. Worth a look if you're in town. But, I've been spoiled with better arcades locally to me in Oregon. read more

This place is awesome! Remember the days when you could chill out for three hours in an arcade with a roll of quarters? Those days are back! Except forget the roll of quarters because all of the machines are free to play after you pay the $5 per hour or $10 for all day. Vector Volcano Arcade is full of nostalgia for all of us older kids who grew up playing arcade games before getting an Atari console or in my case, Intellivision and Colecovision. The have badass old school games like Defender, Tron, Galaga, Asteroids, Space Invaders and many others that are in amazing condition! There are also ten or so pinball machines. They even have soda and beer for sale as well as drink holders on every machine. The lady who was working was very friendly. My son and I spent three hours there yesterday with a couple of my good friends and loved every minute of it! This will definitely be on our short list of downtown fun places to hang out. This place is awesome! My whole family loved it. The first night we were there for an hour and had so much fun. It took me back to when I was a kid playing in arcades except I got to drink beer while I did it. We had so much fun that we went back the next day and got the all day pass. Before we knew it four and a half hours had gone by. The owner and his wife were awesome. I told him where I was from and he looked up arcades similar to his in my neck of the woods. One of the best places in town for family fun. All games are well maintained and in working order, I've never seen an out of order sign on any game. Love The OLDSCHOOL atmosphere. My only gripe Is better variety in pinball machines (they all seem to revolve around evil)...mix it up guys. Other than that thanks for being awesome! read more

Probably the best barcade I've been to! Great selection of arcade standards and a few oddities thrown in. Best part is how well maintained the machines are; keep in mind that many of these games are thirty years old now. Every game I played was in great working order, which is a lot more than I can say for most of these places. Good selection of beers, and I like that you pay a modest price by the hour, instead of using tokens. Really encourages you to try everything. read more

As a child of the 70s and 80s I feel lost in a sea of Millennials and their new technology. I want to go back to a more simple time, an innocent time. You won't need a Delorean to get there either! If you want to take a trip back try out this arcade. The owner Brett is not only extremely knowledgeable about all things arcade, he is an amazingly nice guy. The arcade is filled with everything fantastic. The left wall is all stand up arcade games. The right side are all classic pinball machines. The rates are very good and you really get your money out of the hour rate. I'm not really good so I would sink way more quarters into a machine the old fashion way lol! Brett is always repairing, upgrading and switching machines out. It seems like every time I go there is something new. They also serve some great local brews. If you need to get away from your iPhone and want to experience the 80s this is the place. I'm defiantly going to rent it out for my 40th birthday this year.
