This is a fun place to be if you like playing retro video games. $9.00 will get you a hour of play or stay all day for a cool price of $15.00. The pinball machines are extra $1.00 each game but there is enough to play without having the expense. read more

Brought my nephew here to try some old school games. We had a great time and he schooled me on just about everything. It is a little expensive and I wish that the pinball machines were included in the price. read more

This place was so fun! Play and pay by the hour or use cash at the pinball machines. It was busy around lunch time but there were still plenty of games open to play. read more

My son and husband love taking an hour to play a bazillion games when we visit Bend. The space is small but there is enough for everyone to enjoy! And one can get a beer and hang out in the window seat if arcades aren't really your thing! read more

Fun place to take your older kids, who hopefully have played games from the 80's. We spent one hour playing games non-stop and it was totally enough time! Really cool to play games like Burger time again, but my true love will always be Galaga! Take your quarters for pinball, which isn't included in the pay up front price for the digital games. Great stop on our trip! read more

Sometimes I'm glad with the recommendations that pop out when you ask an Uber driver about what they like to do. This ended up being a highlight of the whole trip and I doubt we would've noticed it was there. Vector Volcano Arcade is what it sounds like - a retro arcade. I was told the owner is a former Pixar animator who collected games and wanted to share them. At the entrance is one of the old Galoob wind up monkeys, featured in Toy Story but I wish I had read the little sign. My only critique - I love pinball and it was a shame the pinball machines were still on quarters and not included with the entry. It's located in downtown Bend, easily walkable from excellent restaurants, bars, and breweries. The cashier was friendly and laid back, I could tell they wouldn't be super strict about the timing. It's currently an $8 entry free per person for an hour of unlimited play. They had a bunch of games our group all loved to play as teenagers, so it was super cool to see them again. CarnEvil we even played the whole way to the end! They have shooters, racing games, classic arcade style games. High scores are kept on a board above the cashier for all to see and try to beat! As is common with other places in town, they also have a great selection of local craft beer you can enjoy while you play! For video game fans of all ages, it's well worth spending an hour or two here! read more

Conveniently tell you that after you have paid that the pinball machines are not included in the flat rate "all-you-can-play" and cost extra....Was there for an hour and didn't see a single person play a pinball machine, most likely because of this. Raise your rates a few bucks and include the pinball machines....you guys are literally nickel and diming LOL. read more

Pac-Man, Frogger, Joust, Street Fighter, Tapper, and 20 more classic arcades? 1 hour unlimited play for $7/pp and all day for $15/pp? Beers on tap? Whatever wormhole I stumbled into that brought me to Vector Volcanos Arcade in Bend was a jackpot in need of Dropping a pin on the GPS. We slayed it on so many games since free continues were obvious. Hall of fame and high scores were made and proudly posted. Adults and kids of all ages basked in the 8 bit glory VV had curated. A wicked good time for all... guys, girls, young and old! read more

This is a great place! Love it! I've only been a couple times definitely worth the trip downtown too.

Fun old time arcade. Simple room, probably ~30 free play machines. The pinball machines are cash play $1/game. We skipped that and paid $8 each for an hour of open play on the rest of the games. I would recommend this for ages 8+. read more

A great stop if you're looking to kill some time and just to have some fun. They have a great selection of classic arcade games available with pay by the hour ($5) or all day ($15). We were more interested in their pinball machines near the entry which are available to play if you just pay upfront in exchange for quarters. My friend and I exchanged a $5 for quarters and had a great time doing our rounds trying out the different pinball machines. This tested my hand eye coordination skills it didn't take me long to find out I wasn't the greatest but I still had a great time! Despite my lackluster skills, a quarter was enough to last me around 5 min per game. A nice find in Bend. read more

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with the nostalgic sound of arcade buzzes and dings. We saw the prices and we had to double check they were that low. 8$ for one hour of playing, and 15$ for the whole day! You did not need quarters or money, they were free to play. The only thing that was not ideal was to play the pinball machines, you had to use your own money, after you already paid for the normal arcade. Overall we will definitely be coming back, and absolutely recommend going there. read more

seems we are reviewing two arcades back to back and that's called life with kids. Granted this one was a little more skewed towards me being that a lot of these games were the ones that we would play in the older arcades growing up. So naturally when I walked by here and saw, they also offer an hourly rate for unlimited games. I thought this is probably gonna be the best bang for her buck because my kids are no good at these classic games. now I know they have a lot to learn back in the days when you didn't get 1 million save points it continues and you just had a grind through a perfect run time after time. This place was real fun all the games work they worked well, so many good games they were Classics, and so much fun and essential part of my childhood. The only games that are not included in the hourly or the pinball so we started off with a little bit of that and once we finished dumping money into those we decided to head over and play an hour of classic games and it was definitely well worth the price and well worth a visit. I would definitely recommend coming on in and trying it out and of course school the next generation and what gaming was.. read more

I highly recommend Vector Volcano. The vibe/decor is trendy, but in a good simplistic, best of the 80's/90's and now kind of way. It's always clean, and the staff friendly. Fun for our whole family at 6 bucks for an hour play per person. Great variety of the old school video games you loved to play as a kid and still do, to some slightly on the new end of retro. One kid loves all the driving and speed games, the other will get into table hockey with me, and both kids I can get to brawl with me on street fighter. Although I tend to stick to Pac-Man or Mrs. Pac-Woman and watching the kids have fun, while I enjoy one of the many beers, ciders, or sours they have to choose from on tap and by the can. The new Atari Pong Table, a live action giant table sized version where you use a dial and a button to move the physical pieces is a blast. My favorite. For Pinball fans they have games for .25 (quarter) per play. read more

Great selection of games! My 11 year son said it was "like the funnest place ever!" And he's into Roblox, Switch, etc.

As a pinball fan they have a decent selection, not great, but decent. I guess really I just like playing Mars Attacks pinball. If you're looking to screw off in an arcade stop in for a few games and ++ that a beer and some games are less then $10. Still looking for better pinball machines in Bend so for a small city, a great option. Note, I haven't played the arcade games just pinball. read more

You pay be the hour. They have beer. Not too loud but a perfect place to go place some retro arcade games

Living #TheClassicArcadeLife! I was in bend camping and of coarse I can't resist a classic arcade. All the games and controllers worked great, most classic arcades have a hard time with controllers and CRT issues, but not Vector Valcano Arcade they had all in working order. I love that they have a high score board. I was shocked of the low scores on the board. Anyway I was able to play 5 games while I was there and put up scores for all 5. The staff was really friendly and they sell drinks (Beer and soda). read more

Vector Volcano Arcade - High score board at Vector Volcano Arcade after my first visit. - Arcades Near Me - Bend, Oregon

I live near Boulder, Colo., and we're seeing massive boom in pinball and arcade in our area. I was out in Bend for a Mt Bachelor ski trip, so sought out a place to get away and play some games for an hour or two. Vector Volcano not only fit the bill for me perfectly, it's a great exemplar of a retro arcade as a community asset, with prime location and passionate ownership. i went in on a Saturday afternoon, and chatted with (I presume) the owner or manager for about 5 minutes on my way in, then we talked pinball over a game of Whitewater (one of about 10 pins in the place). Very passionate and knowledgeable. They have original consoles (not multitudes) for some hard-to-find games... including Dragon's Lair, Missile Command, Tempest. A monthly high score board for each game (I left my JER mark on Missile Command with 38000). Very well done. read more

Awesome place to hang and game out with me and three other friends. I highly recommend the $8 entrance fee for an hour of fun.

An old school arcade. Pay by the hour or day. The real highly is the "Attack from Mars" pinball machine that isn't on free play. That pin is wonderful (over $8000). I'd be happy to feed quarters on that machine all day. read more

The pin-ball costs quarters. (and they are kept in good condition) The old-school arcade games are pay-to-enter. ($5 / hour or $15 for all-day entry). There are enough arcade cabinets to keep yourself busy for hours. You can try beating the high-scores (which are on a large board near the entrance and I was told they are reset each year) or you can just goof off on the nostalgia. My favorite game there is Warlords. It requires 4-players to play. Other favorites of mine included: NBA Jam, Hydro Thunder, and OFF-ROAD. There are a lot of much older games too, like Tapper and Joust. My wife and I had a blast. We went two days in a row. read more

Cruising thru Bend for my birthday, as a pinball junkie i had to check this place out. Owner was very fun to talk to and knew a ton about pinball and classic arcade games. $5 for one hour of endless arcade fun. Need I say more? Over 30 different arcade and pinball games. They serve excellent local brews at reasonable prices. For $10 a day you get a one day pass (in/out). The games have cup holders and the bathroom is really nice. Met the owner-he's great. Love this place and highly recommend it! read more

I broke my collarbone a few weeks ago, and just after breaking it I thought - OH NO, I WON'T BE ABLE TO PLAY PINBALL!!! Really, it was a top concern. Thankfully, with my awesome healing regimen, I'm back at it and loving this place. You play for $5/hr all the arcade and then the pinball costs anywhere from $0.25 to $0.75. Totally a great way to spend an hour of your time. They also have a cider and beer on tap and several other bottles available. Tap drinks are $4. I spend about $20 for an hour (I mostly play Ghostbusters pinball) and feel that it's hard to have that much for for $20 anywhere else. Love, love, love this place! Oh, and the people that work there are super friendly! Top place to get some fun in Bend. I went to a similar place in Portland and spent twice as much. Thank you Vector Volcano! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. We went here our second day in town and ended up going there 4 out of the 6 nights we were there! Would be there later if they were open later. Absolutely great selection of retro arcade cabinets, including marble madness, burger time, Qbert, and Star Wars as well as newer classics like hydro thunder. All games were running well with spot on controls that are well maintained(nothing more frustrating than seeing your favorite games then finding out the controls are messed up!). Fantastic beer selection as well, including a gold-cart NES Zelda inspired ipa can by Level. Chad is awesome guy running the place. He can throw down on dragon's lair and after we requested to watch just before close, he had an unbelievable run on a single life that was the icing on the cake! Will be back when we return for sure, 10/10 read more

Rad little spot for games and adult beverages. My husband and I showed up late in the night, so the attendant gave us a discount on admission. Solid. Plenty of fun, old-school games to play like Ms. Pac Man, Dig Dug, and Donkey Kong. I'll probably grab a drink and chill here another time when I'm rolling thru Bend. read more

I love this place! Great deal, good beer, and all the machines work well. I spent a month in Sisters last April, and Vector Volcano was my Friday jam. Honestly, those three Friday nights in Bend starting with this arcade, were some of the most memorable evenings I had (but that's another story!). Highly recommend you check VV out if you love retro arcade gaming. Vector Volcano covers all the classics, and you won't be disappointed. Donkey Kong, Tron, Frogger, and Robotron, plus more in the original arcade cabinets. Vector Volcano, please stay in business, so next time I come to your area I can relish in my 2021 experience at Sisters, as well as my "retro" childhood. read more

Yes yes yes! A retro arcade with a $5 dollar entry fee for unlimited gaming for an hour. All of the cabinets looked like the genuine article- space invaders, street fighters, frogger, defender and best of all: Q*BERT! They also sold beer. If you are a retro gamer then you can't go wrong, stop by. Also, I'm now addicted to Q*bert. read more

Oh yes...let's be clear: Love is not a Subaru, it's this joint. A straight out, authentic blast from the past. An arcade with the defining touches of what I grew up with. Don't stress about the quarters. Don't stress about machines that don't work. Don't stress about really anything other than knowing it's time to get your game on. $5 for an hour, or spring for the all-day, unlimited come and go $10 pass. With all of the classics onsite, a decent selection of pinball, random old school games I've never seen/played before, and a great overall family friendly vibe, I could get lost in here all day. It's obvious the place is run by true enthusiasts and I can't wait to get back to Bend for another go...this time, I'll be getting the day pass and disappearing into the past. read more

Places like this make me very, very happy. For $5 you can play unlimited for an hour 30+ vintage arcade/pinball games and get lost back in time for a bit. The woman behind the counter was super nice and is just one of those places that puts a smile on your face. Highly recommend! read more

I'm not an arcade person, but my boyfriend is, so we stopped by this place on our trip to Bend. I had a pretty good time here for the hour we were here. technically, we were here for an hour & 6 minutes because my bf did not obey the rules & continued playing minutes past our hour to get a high score on a game... anyway, like the other reviews mentioned, the games are clean & well-maintained. I like the idea of paying all day or per hour so you can try different games. the only thing that concerns me is I wonder how they make a profit with such cheap prices! seems like this place just opened, so I really hope they stay in business. I KNOW it definitely just opened because I made a few high scores on some games, & I'm pretty terrible at every game in general. anyway, pretty fun place & definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Maybe my favorite 80s arcade I've ever come across. Such a delightful accident to discover Vector Volcano while wandering downtown Bend. The game inventory is a surreal throwback to my misspent 80s youth. Games include: Galaga, Joust, Asteroids, Mario Brothers, Defender, Donkey Kong, GORF, Tron, Dragon's Lair, Robotron, Centipede, and others. The games are well cared-for and in impressive condition for their age. And the price is a bargain at $5 for an hour or $10 for all-day-play. Leave your quarters at home. Be warned that an hour passes very quickly at VV. read more

this place is amazing. I'm visiting Bend for the weekend on a trip through the state. This place is a ready one of my the highlights of my trip. Vector Volcano Arcade - This place is rad! - Arcades Near Me - Bend, Oregon

Vector Volcano is an excellent example of the growing retro-arcade market, complete with pinball machines, and beverages available at the counter. They serve sodas as well as beer. Costs $5/hour or $10/day for unlimited games. They have an excellent assortment of 80's video games, including Robotron, Tron, Asteroids, Punch Out, Donkey Kong, Super Mario, Street Fighter and more. Oh, yes: they have Marble Madness, and it is in excellent condition, both track-balls functioning well! They also have a collection of about eight or ten pinball machines, and this is why they only get 4 stars instead of 5: pinball machines require a *lot* of maintenance to keep them functioning at the level their designers intended. Specifically, the flipper actuators need to be kept in tip-top shape, or the mechanics of the machine become unplayable. I was thrilled to see a Terminator 2 pinball machine, but bummed to discover that the flippers aren't powerful enough to send the ball up the side ramps unless the ball already has momentum. A small issue that severely impacts the fun of playing the machine. Overall, an excellent arcade. Worth a stop any time you are anywhere near Bend. read more
