I recently decided to add Roku to my not-smart television set-up and, after many attempts to find…read moreout how it should be done, I hit a wall. The idea came to me that a specialist in home entertainment systems may be able to help me, This was last Saturday so I called Custom Automation Technologies, Inc. in New Albany who were open until 6 pm. The owner, Dan Hoehnen, answered my call, talked with me about my system, and said he would come out that same afternoon and take care of it. Which he did, for about 1.5 hours he skillfully integrated a Roku stick into my mini-network which consists of an 11 year old plasma TV, a DVR, Spectrum cable box, a 11 year old DVD player all controlled by an 11 year old Bose Life Style sound system. Others had failed at this integration task, but Dan knew exactly what had to be done. He explained every step as he worked so that when he was finished I had full Roku capability on my system. He also explained how I should access and use the new feature, even helping me to document every step in the process. To top it off, he invited me to call him anytime I have a problem or a question. In summary, I could not be happier with the service provided by Mr. Hoehnen and CATI. The service was fast, expert, courteous and totally effective. Thank you, Dan and CATI! A very happy, happy customer

I also see that they are open till 11pm, which makes sense because one of their reps knocked on my door at 1030pm, and rang the doorbell. Woke the kid on a school night, got us out of bed, confused the dogs so much that they didn't even bark. He launched into his spiel that he had just sold our neighbor a system, and all the wondrous free things they got. My wife politely told him we weren't interested. He plowed on with details of their service. I rudely told him to leave, and not ring any more doorbells in the dark, hoping to save our neighbors from being woken. I feel a little bad for him, because someone sent him out into the night to do this. What kind of company does that, to their employees and their potential customers? If I had had any interest in Vivent, this experience crushed it. And then reading others' experiences poured water on the embers and stomped on them.
