Her practice is not based on squeezing the customer, but the animal in front of her. I also know that her staff is fantastic...they came with her from her last practice, and I can tell you that staff and techs can make or break a practice. Hers make it. As I was getting ready to head out the door, I noticed her eye was very inflamed in a way it was not the day before. I'm very calm in emergencies, except when it comes to my loved ones; then I'm a basket case. My vet said to go PetMedic so we called and they made an appointment for us immediately. We got in and they were so kind. I'm always worried I'm overreacting when it comes to my pet's health but they were so reassuring. Tiki was the calmest we've seen her, they were able to do all the tests in the room while I held her so she was comfortable. Dr. Armstrong and I believe the VT's name was Jessica were so very kind and patient with me and laid explained everything to us. I really did like how they broke down the bill. Emergent care is always going to be expensive, but honestly, our $615 was a lot lower than we were expecting for the tests run and the medications we received. They break down the bill to explain every single charge for you so you understand why it is what it is and it makes a lot of sense. I came to this facility for treatment for two dogs, specifically "cold laser" treatment for…read morearthritis and bursitis. From where I live it's a five hour round-trip. Unfortunately, after the first few initial visits, the therapist was unable to keep her political views out of our (deliberately) otherwise neutral exchanges. I didn't feel I needed to express that a five hour round-trip and fees for the visit should not include my having to listen to how the current administration is "blowing up Venezuelan fishing boats" etc.. I also noted a growing tension and tense demeanor over time, and I stopped going, and simply got financing and bought my own laser. The long trip, the clinic fees, and being forced to listen to this crap on a more or less constant basis completely justified the expense. Being a retired veterinarian, it was not hard for me to get a handle on treatment protocols. However, while learning these protocols, I realized that the treatment that had been provided was only partial because contrary to recommendation, she was not treating the dorsal root ganglia, (the anatomical features by which the nerves entered the spinal column). These were never done, and apparently they are critical. Again, having worked in this profession once expressing one's ideology surpasses providing treatment to animals regardless of who brings them in becomes more important, there's no point in continuing the relationship. It demonstrates a profound lack of professionalism and self-control. Based on my experiences, I cannot rate the rehabilitation portion of this clinic by more than one star. To be absolutely clear, I never visited this facility for any other purpose or interacted with any of its veterinarians or staff except in passing , nor did I receive any other services from them. My review reflects only my experiences with the rehabilitation facility and the person administrating treatment.

As a first time pup parent, I was stressed about where to go to get my puppy spayed, as well as the timing of the spay (Mabel is a Labrador). Vet Rehab put me at ease. When we went to establish Mabel as a patient there (she was already a patient at other highly rated vets, including in NYC). Vet Rehab was up on the very latest studies about the timing of the spay, and it was apparent from the moment I walked in that they care about their patients and that Mabel was in the best hands here. They went through her entire medical history and took their time with us. They also offer services that other vets do not, including a blue light that helps accelerate the healing process! With their (frequent - shout out to Lisa) guidance, Mabel is doing very well after her surgery. I trust Vet Rehab completely and intend to return for the rest of Mabel's care.
