My entire family had a great meal. Something on the menu for everyone from steak, seafood, and chicken. Very good vibe with high service.

Got the usual, the herring with mashed potatoes, three sides, and a piece of rye crisp. We had the pickled cucumber, lingonberries and cremefreche salad. Nice serving but I wanted more. IT IS SO GOOD. But we are here for a month so I WILL be back. I meant to take pictures of the food but I was too anxious to eat. Friendly service as always. Nicely packed to go. We have been coming here for years and I highly recommend.

It's pretty much a one person show from what I could see. The owner attended to me efficiently and without the slightest hesitation. I'm sorry to say that I don't speak Swedish (I wish I did I can tell you) but he was able to communicate with me and for that I will always be grateful. My plate had, if I recall correctly, four breaded and fried herring fillets. It had a coleslaw (which I found a surprising addition, creamy mashed potatoes, pickled cucumbers, red onions, and a little wedge of crispbread. I loved every bite. It was a generous plate. I particularly enjoyed eating a combination of the potatoes, cuke, onion, and fish on a corner of the crispbread as I munched away. There are a few nearby picnic type tables. So there was a place I could sit and enjoy this meal overlooking the water and a corner of the old town. If you find yourself in Stockholm, do yourself a favor and go to here. Even if you think you don't like herring, try it this way. I bet you'd be surprised.

Fiskeläget and Hav both sell fresh looking seafood in addition to having a small seating area for dining. We ended up going to Hav because it has a better online rating, because a friendly guy there started chatting with us, and because the fish soup there looked the best to us. The fish soup was incredibly tasty with plenty of very fresh shrimp, mussels and fish, generously portioned, and has spoiled me as far as all other fish soups go. The seafood in the soup was added at the last minute so that it was cooked perfectly and really highlighted how fresh it was. The toast skagen was also a pretty good size and fresh. We also had some of their natural wines and a sample of the aquavit. The guy (so sorry we never got his name), was quite attentive and friendly when he wasn't helping other customers get seafood to cook at home. If I lived in Stockholm, I'd totally drop by to get some of the take away seafood to cook. Overall, worth a visit!

He was friendly and happy to explain his seafood selection. So we decided to try and glad we did. We informed him that we wanted fresh seafood from the region and not imported stuff. We are also open to exotic food or local delicacy that most people may not order. We wanted a little of everything so we can try a wide selection. He was more than happy to recommend us local seafood and things we should try/order. He did not try to steer us to what was most expensive or try to give us a large amount. During our meal, he came by often to chat and just see how things were. Very friendly and nice guy with lots of story to share. He has traveled the world in his sailing boat and lived in many different cities. Great owner with good food at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend paying a visit.

We ordered crawfish and asked if it was fresh which the server said yes then served us langostine instead of crawfish. We thought maybe we were just not aware of this local crawfish until we got our seafood stew which had an actual crawfish on it. Too late to complain because we all the langustine which was fishy and def not fresh. The photos in google reviews show a lobster tail in the crawfish stew. We had 2 pieces of fishy white fish and 2 pieces of salmon and a crawfish in what I believe to be their lobster bisque. Even the kids hated the meatballs in their kid spaghetti. They've eat processed meatballs before but these were super rubbery. My kids favorite part- the garlic bread. Mine the shrimp appetizer. I would not recommend this place $200 meal for 2 adults 2 kids 2 glasses of wine. The seafood is not fresh and it doesn't even taste good. Positives: they served complementary tap water and bread. Service was good beside not getting crawfish as ordered.

Inside the food hall was Lisa Elmqvist in a weird sectional format. What we didn't know was it was a Michelin restaurant mixed in with other restaurants under the same roof. Of course, we had to try it. We had no reservations so we were seated at a detached bar area. My first meal in Europe was fish and chips on a green pea puree, an order of smoked eel on rye bread, and catch of the day. I wish I remembered to take pictures instead of letting my stomach do some talking. The best dish that day was the smoked eel on rye. That was just too good. Fish and chips with the puree and house made dip was also a good combo of flavors. The catch of the day with vegetables wasn't so appealing so that was a miss. It wasn't as memorable in flavor as the smoked eel was but still a fresh fish. Also a miss was service. They seem to do everything on their time. A lot of serving others and cleaning before getting back to us but when they did they always gave us fresh new silverware and plates. I'd come back here again with reservations as that was a dining experience and looked like better service.
