The in office staff is extremely rude whenever they are contacted. My packages have been lost numerous times when I have been notified that they have been delivered. When I have called, the post master or manager of the office and every person I speak to is rude to me and accuses me of losing my own package. They make excuse after excuse and do nothing to compensate for their malpractice. I have complained multiple times and nothing gets done. Steer clear of living where Cameron post office delivers! My family and I will be getting a PO Box elsewhere to avoid dealing with the incompetence that is Cameron USPS!

It was first sent from Southern Pines to the Aberdeen post office and then back again. After several phone calls(they take the phone off the hook so you can not get through) and a refusal of the office to give my package to someone I sent with identification to pick up the package on my behalf, I took off work early to retrieve my mail. Upon arrival, I was informed that I would have to pay for the package being sent back and forth and never delivered to me. I refused. After escalating the issue with the regional office I was refunded what I had to pay to pick up the box. Today I had a package that was scheduled for delivery. I made sure to leave a note that it be left beside my mailbox on my doorstep as I work over an hour away and am never home during hours they deliver. My request was ignored. I needed the package TODAY which now leaves me with the only option of leaving work early to retrieve the box again. This is the third time this has happened.

Meanwhile, my son stopped the mail carrier one day to inquire about the package. The person he spoke to was actually the Post Master, covering deliveries. She advised my son to have me call her the next morning. My phone call was answered by a very pleasant, understanding, and compassionate Post Master named, Danielle. She assured me she would work on trying to retrieve the package, and kept me informed every step of the way. In the end, the package was retrieved by Danielle, from a working family who had planned to return the package to the P.O., but had not been able to do so yet due to conflicting work hours. My grandson received his birthday present, and was delighted. I received a greater gift, knowing there are still wonderful people in this world! Both the people in the household who had received the package and planned to return it, and Danielle, the Post Master for working above and beyond her duties, especially since the initial error was my wrong doing! Thank you to all involved in locating and delivering this package to my grandson! Your actions were hands down first-class, and much appreciated!
