This combined assisted living and skilled nursing facility is a unique place with a great heart. It is small and secluded enough to feel calm and safe, yet connected and involved in community events enough to be stimulating. No, it is not perfect - struggles with finding adequate staff, occasional glitches in food service, and the overall dilemma of the incredible high cost of providing elder care in this country. However, it is a happy active place with caring workers, a beautiful resident- planned garden, great activities, and an attitude of listening to and respecting residents. My father in law has lived here since 2003 and it is truly his home. A gem in the Vashon community. read more
