Today I went to South Bay Gold. I almost didn't go today because I thought it was gonna be a hassle but I decided to give it a go anyway I got there and they had their private parking lot it was easy to get into and when you went up the stairs to their showroom Jordan greeted you with a smile and was very friendly and I said I was there to sell some gold and he invited me over to see what I had he didn't act like I was some poor person coming to the pawn shop or something because I wasn't but still I don't know I've never sold gold in my life. So it was Jordan who did most of the stuff I was dealing with however Juan was there helping him also working on a piece of jewelry with his tools etc. They were very friendly they had beautiful jewelry in there and I personally would highly suggest if you wanted to sell your goal to go there and sell it to them it was quick and easy and they handed me cash on the spot it was awesome they also offered to exchange if I wanted to exchange for another piece if I saw something else I wanted we should wear many things that I wanted but what I actually use them now so I took my cash and I'm gonna use the money on vacation I had had South bagel recommended to me by two different friends who live up and rolling Hills and I figured they knew what they were talking about so I say don't bother shopping around go there the first time save some time get a fair offer take it and enjoy yourself excellent place to take an engagement ring you no longer needed because that was one or two or three husbands back I'm still on the first husband so I still need mine but maybe someday I won't.

I came here yesterday after reading some Yelp reviews and seeing that it was rated as less…read moreexpensive than other stores. I'd have to say i had a pretty pleasant experience. I only had a basic idea of what I needed to start making jewelry but the staff was really helpful. After walking around the store, it seemed like there was a lot to choose from. This young guy with black glasses (didn't get his name) was very patient with me, as I wasn't really sure what to get. I didn't know the names of things but described them from what I saw from basic research online, and he brought them out from behind the counter and answered a bunch of my questions. I got some wax files and carving tools, etc. I'm happy I got the basic materials now! Afterwards I went home and found that almost all my tools (8 items) were equal to or cheaper than what I found on Amazon. I would definitely come back here to find tools once I decide I need more than the basics.

A&A Jewelry Supply managed to waste my time while demonstrating exactly why accurate inventory…read morematters. I ordered a strip cutter from them that their website represented as available for purchase. I completed the order in good faith, expecting that a company selling specialized jewelry equipment would have some basic idea of whether it actually possessed the machine it was advertising. Instead, the order was canceled because they did not have the item. That is not a minor inconvenience when you are purchasing specialized shop equipment. Customers may be comparing machines, passing on other opportunities, arranging shipping, scheduling work, and making purchasing decisions based on the seller's representation that the product is available. What makes the experience worse is that the same product page continued to appear as though the machine could still be purchased. If you do not have an item, mark it out of stock. If it has been discontinued, say so. Maintaining an apparently orderable listing for equipment you cannot supply is sloppy inventory management at best and an excellent way to waste customers' time. I expect considerably better from a specialty-tool supplier. Accurate inventory is about the lowest possible bar an online retailer can clear. My experience with A&A Jewelry Supply: order accepted, product unavailable, order canceled, time wasted. I would be extremely reluctant to rely on their website inventory again.

Love Sam's! Fast, friendly, professional, incredibly skilled…read more I brought in a vintage cluster ring from my grandmother that needed pretty significant resizing from an 8.5 down to a 5, and he did it beautifully without sacrificing any stones. When I went to pick it up, I brought in a watch for servicing and some more jewelry for Cleaning. All of which is completely reasonably priced. I'm really looking forward to having them make a custom piece for me with some loose stones I have. The entire staff is just such a pleasure. I get the impression that regardless of what you bring in, or what you need done- They treat it and you with the same care and respect as they would the Hope diamond. So happy to find a jeweler I can trust!

Sam is a nice man but make sure you do some pricing research in advance. The reviews here were so…read moreoverwhelmingly positive that I didn't look around and got a little bit overcharged I'd say. After dropping my simple gold wedding band off with the promise of a 1 hr turnaround at $125 to have it sized down (he tried to charge $150), I came back 90 minutes later and the ring had clearly not been touched yet. I shared that I'd spent the last 90 minutes researching online and at other shops in the jewelry market and had learned that this service should cost no more than $50. Some places charge as low as $20. I asked Sam politely what the reason was for the steep price difference. He talked about how much time and care went into sizing the ring, and how he used only the best materials so that the cut would be completely invisible. To demonstrate, he began showing me the process, which reinforced my suspicion that when I walked back into the store, he had not yet begun work on my ring. 10 minutes later Sam was done - the work was good, but the seam was indeed visible. After a conversation the price came down to $100. I'm happy, the work is no better or worse than any I have had done before. But be warned that he clearly upcharges for his charm (he's very sweet and complimentary) and generosity (he did a sonic clean on my engagement ring for free). If you want a deal this is not the place. But it's fine otherwise! Not gonna get scalped but not the most price sensitive option if you're in the jewelry district.
