My virtual consultation with Monika was actually over FaceTime as there were some technical difficulties with the website we were supposed to use. Monika herself was VERY sweet I enjoyed talking to her, but I never met Dr. T since I didn't get that far. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I was given a quote with a certain discount which was nice, but I was given until the end of that day to let them know if I would accept that quote. To me that isn't acceptable. I felt pressured! I'm not saying I needed weeks to think about my options, but I did expect to have more than a few hours. The quote Monika offered was actually more affordable than the other two, but I didn't like the fact that I was pressured to make this decision.

He took cartilage from my ears to put in my nose, but he didn't tell me. I found out after surgery. The day of the of surgery, I had to call him back into the room to remind him about the lip filler and how I wanted most of the filler in the top lip. Even after that, he put most of it in the bottom lip. When I came in for my one-month post-surgery appointment, I told him the nostrils were too big. He said he didn't touch the nostrils and that would be another procedure. I was so shocked and upset by his response, I didn't say anything. So, you want me to pay twice for what you should have done the first time???!!! Why didn't you touch the nostrils? It's my opinion that he is so concerned with his reputation and his work looking natural that he completely disregards what his patients ask for, what will make them look theirjawl best, and ultimately what will make them happy with the face they have to walk around with. And yes, I look better than before. But I didn't pay $20,000 to look better. I paid $20,000 to look good. Now I'm walking around with a $7,000 nose that I like less than my old nose and I'm wondering if I could have gotten the same jawline results with $1000 worth of laser tightening treatments and a good moisturizer. And to make matters worse, they gaslit me to a point where they had me give them a good review. How? They insisted in time everything would look better. It doesn't. You tell me. Look at the pictures. Would you pay $20,000 for these results? In addition: The receptionist was rude to me when I first called (At the Glenview office). The pre-surgery nurse kept repeating how thorough he was, except saying he was thorough was the only thing he was actually thorough about. He didn't return my messages. Several times he called me at the wrong time, then had to call me back because he misread his schedule. He then told me I'd have to tape my glasses to my forehead after surgery. Luckily, I found a band specifically made for glasses post rhinoplasty on Amazon. How didn't he know that? The day of the surgery the nurse was 30 minutes late, telling me that she didn't know that there was surgery that day. The anesthesiologist, however, was a dream. No stomach pain or nausea after surgery. She gave me an extra patch after I told her that I had a sensitive stomach. Their post-surgery follow up was a joke and consisted of a couple 2 min phone calls. They also sent my medication to a pharmacy an hour away from my home. All in all, this was one of the most disappointing things I've ever went through, ending up with me not wanting to look in the mirror anymore.

Dr. Platis made me feel confident and comfortable about the entire procedure. He spoke to me a couple weeks before surgery to answer my questions and calm my nerves. Also, he encouraged me to call/text his cell phone should I have additional questions. The day of the surgery I was nervous but mostly excited. The support staff at the surgical center was beyond professional and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Platis checked in with me prior to surgery and, of course, after. I could not be more happy with the results. I still look like myself, with just a minor, positive "tweak". As for any pain? The rapid COVID test required before my procedure was more painful than the rhinoplasty. I would describe it as uncomfortable, like a very bad head cold. The manicure I received simply did not match the $65 price point as I was charged for level 2 service and not a basic manicure or level 1 wellness manicure at best. After returning home and showering, it became clear that my cuticles had not been properly cleaned, the nail shapes were uneven, and no top coat was applied or even offered when I said I didn't want any color; something I've never experienced during a professional manicure. The "hot towel treatment" was also completely underwhelming; the towel was room temperature, dry, and discolored, placed over lotion packet gloves that the technician admitted she had never used before. It's hard to understand what exactly I was paying for besides those gloves, which can easily be purchased at a discount store. I specifically emphasized that my main concern was cuticle care, yet that was not addressed properly. The technician even mentioned she doesn't perform manicures often and, respectfully, it shows. What I received was a very basic manicure, not the "wellness manicure" I was charged for. I genuinely wanted to support a small business, as I'm a small business owner myself. But that doesn't mean overlooking poor workmanship, misleading practices, or a lack of experience. Had I known the technician had only been performing medical nail services for about a year, I would have made a different choice. That kind of information should be clearly disclosed on the booking page to help customers make informed decisions. What concerned me most was being told after the appointment that my left pinky toe supposedly had a fungus, something never mentioned during the service, despite plenty of conversation. I also noticed that different products were used on my big toes (which had fungus) in comparison to my pinky toe which receive no additional special anti-fungal products, which made the entire pedicure feel inconsistent and unprofessional. There is no room for positive intent anymore at this point. Given that my pedicure required minimal callus removal, charging $150 for this service is unreasonable when it should have been $120 (level 1). I initially tried to resolve this directly, even offering to accept a partial refund out of good faith. However, discovering that my service charges were increased without any prior discussion or consent was the final red flag. That's simply not good business practice, especially while this woman is touching my feet and saying oh they're not that bad. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve both skill and transparency. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment for manicure or pedicure services and would never go back. I suggest y'all look otherwise as the convenience of it being in Chicago is not worth it. And what's funny is that I only noticed the pricing discrepancy when I went back to the website to tell my boyfriend the services I got. This woman has very unethical and dishonest business practices, I'm not the only person who've stated this in their reviews. Don't trust this woman.
