the mangonadas are really yummy but extremely over priced. Their elotes lack flavor and i have not tried any of the other items. The older ladies that work here are EXTREMELY rude. They are never friendly or give good service they act like you're a burden. The one instance that comes to mind that turned me off from returning was on a busy day I ordered 2 mangonadas that were almost $25 & I had my dogs in the car. My order was taking a while but since they were busy I waited patiently & almost 20 minutes passed so i went to check on my dogs in my parked car. While i was checking on my dogs they called out my order & since I wasn't inside the building they let another customer have my order for free. Once i came back inside i followed up on my order & they said they called my name & i didn't pick up my order so they gave it away. I was in disbelief because i was away for max 5 minutes. They did not offer to remedy the situation I had to tell them to either give me a refund or remake my order because at this point I had been waiting for near 30 minutes. This place is an awesome idea! I love these types of ice cream shops...but this one is dirty & run down (stained/dirty furniture, scummy windows, broken floors, etc). If they had a better building, I think they could probably be more popular! These treats are HUGE (we take the toppings home to enjoy another day) and about $20 each. It tasted good, looked even better, service was good & shake was delivered quickly--despite the horrible YELP reviews (I timed the 6 people who came in after me and we all got our order in 5 minutes or less). Pros: My husband got the Strawberry Lychee slushee and it was really good. It was refreshing and I would definitely go back for that. My mother got mint choc ice cream in a crepe- she said the ice cream was delicious but the crepe was chewy, not really fluffy and she didn't eat it, not really worth the $7. Cons- my sons and I got strawberry rolled ice cream, it had zero flavor. I didn't eat mine, another wasted $7. They told us it would be a 25-30 minute wait for our items which seemed long, but they were busy so ok. We waited outside at our car and a solid hour later we finally got our stuff (our order per the receipt went in at 6:40 and we received our stuff at 7:35 and 7:45). In addition to that the shop inside was so hot, they had a fan running but I don't think they use AC, or if they do it's up super high. It was really uncomfortable waiting in line and then an hour after that outside waiting for the order. All in all we may go back for the slush if they get their ticket times straightened out, but I was underwhelmed. I get that the point is to have these epic and elaborate ice cream creations, but it's not worth it if they don't taste epically good! I've noticed that The way they handle their cash transactions are illegal, and the fact that they are paying employees over the counter as well, but I'm not going to get into that much detail Because it's not my business. The first time I went it was really fast. The second time I went I was there for more than an hour waiting on just ice cream rolls. People that came after us got served before us and they got something that takes way longer than ice cream rolls.We told them we have been waiting for a long time and they didn't do anything about it.
