I went in to pick up a tincture and saw the price offered at 39.99 which I thought was reasonable. There were other options at higher prices like 49.99 and around 54.99.
When I went to check out, the total came to 54.10 after tax. I didnt want to hold up other customers, so I finished checking out, but didnt feel right about the price. I checked my receipt, and saw I was charged 49.99 instead of the tagged 39.99. I had to go recheck the case to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I brought it up to the attendant at the register and they said that there must have been a price change that they weren't made aware of.
He tried calling the chain owner on my behalf to see if he could get the original price honored, but he was skeptical the owner would allow it (major red flag going up now). Then he contacts who I assume was a store manager and secures for me a 10% off my next purchase for my trouble. I asked if I could just return the item for a refund since they wouldn't honor the original offered price, and I was told that it was near guaranteed that I would not get my money back from them. I decided to cut my losses and thanked the attendant for the learning experience.
I won't be using that 10% discount because I won't be giving my business to vapor maven any longer. I didnt want a discount, i wanted the price that was displayed with the product! Then to hear that a refund would not be an option for me despite the already poor experience coupled with the fact that i hadnt even left the curb from the store was insult enough for me to make up my mind. I was looking for a closer alternative to hemphemphooray, but i'll pay distance for a good customer experience every time now that I know how vapor maven (my closer option) is willing to treat their customers!
TLDR: I didn't feel helped or acommodated here, I felt used. Not spending any more time or money at Vapor Maven in sedalia. read more
