I really enjoy this Vapor Up location! This is the location that took over for the kiosk that was…read morelocated in Ward Parkway Mall. They now have an entire store with much more inventory than a tiny kiosk in a mall. I know that it's not ideal to vape on electronic cigarettes but I figure that it's better than smoking actual cigarettes? I also feel better (for my health) that this brand does not use any of those oils for their e-cigarette's; they use only battery powered e-cigarettes. Personally I use the menthol flavored e-cigarette's; and, at the other locations they are often out or backordered of this flavor at the 2.4% nicotine level. However, not one time has this location been out of the desired product that I was seeking! Yes, it is true, it is expensive to vapor e-cigarettes; but, as far as I can tell it is light years healthier for you than using traditional tobacco-based products. Off the top of my head, I believe it costs $20 for a pack of five cartridges; each cartridge-depending on how much you smoke-could last you anywhere between one and four days. It does add up purchasing the starter kits, but if you're thinking about quitting smoking then this is the way to go! For several years now, I cannot even take a drag off of a regular cigarette even if I'm intoxicated (and that is saying a lot)! Even the thought of regular cigarettes makes me sick. I am still able to run and exercise frequently and I don't feel as if my respiratory health has been harmed from Vapor Ups products. I truly believe that if anything it Vapor Up has not only helped me completely stop smoking and using tobacco products; but has also extended my lifespan! The only thing that could earn this place a fifth star would be if tobacco smoking or nicotine no longer existed in this world :-)

If Mary Poppins bag was a tea shop this would be it right down to the spoon full of sugar. Aaannd Mary had dreds, and a fish tank with cool snails and a cup of happy chill. You just need to see it for yourself. Plants are everywhere, color explosion, something new to see everywhere. Normally that kind of space would over stimulate but this was just....nice. I think the soft lighting and the set up just lends to a thoughtful, comfortable and unique experience. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be there often but she does make up batches of kava that are easily prepped at home. Let's be honest kava taste like dirt, but that's not why it's gaining notice. For many it's game changer but here they offer some pretty tasty ways to have it. Parking can be rough but not impossible. With a little patient searching a spot can be found. A weekend visit had us about a block walk away, not bad. I suspect day time hours might even have a street spot or two open in front. The 39th street community is a pretty sweet one with so much to offer. Worth the visit for sure.

Laura did an absolutely AMAZING job from planning to the end result! Our wedding was absolutely…read morebeautiful. To this day, we still get comments from our guests about how beautiful our florals were. It was very apparent that she put so much thought into the design. I am not too familiar with floral arrangements and she was SO helpful in creating a detailed floral plan. I felt extremely confident in her during our planning stages and she was able to relieve all the stress I felt from decorating. Responses were quick and timely! For someone who is very indecisive like me, I felt cared for in knowing that I was able to contact her to give me some advice on decor, color schemes, designs and how it would look as a whole. I was able to collaborate with her on extra details that I would purchase to highlight the floral arrangements. She was so patient, helpful, and encouraging! As I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, holding my GORGEOUS bouquet, the arbor was in clear view and I was so overwhelmed at how beautiful, full, and unique it was. For all you wedding planners/brides, the arbor is the first thing that guests see when they come to your wedding and you definitely do not want to disappoint! Then, when we came out for our reception, I was blown away at how absolutely beautiful our sweetheart table was decorated! As my husband and I were having our dinner, I cannot count how many times we said to each other, "Omg...Laura did SOOOO GOOD!" We wish were able to keep EVERYTHING! But we did bring our entire arbor home just so we could adore it for just a little longer :) And we preserved some of the arrangements, such as my bouquet, his boutonnière, and some of the smaller arrangements. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Flower House KC for all of your floral needs! High quality work, high quality business! Thank you, Laura, for creating such a beautiful space for a beautiful memory! Our wedding definitely would not have been everything we wanted without you!

Worst experience ever. I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentine's Day as a husband does. I…read moreordered them online thru www.avasflowers.net who is just an "order gatherer" according to LA Floral. This order is then passed over to LA Floral to fulfill and delivery. The product I ordered was offered in Small @ $44.99, Medium @ $54.99, Large @ $64.99 and Luxury Grade @ $74.99. I ordered the Luxury Grade option but only received the Small option. I'm giving them 2 stars simply because they did deliver on time even if they didn't deliver what I ordered. It was impossible to reach AVAS Flowers and I got a crazy response from LA Floral when I asked that either they send the Luxury Grade version or refund the $30 difference. This is the response I got from them. "The problem is they mis-represent the arrangement based on price. Valentine's week flowers are even higher than normal week -- meaning the farms and suppliers raise the prices, which means we have to raise the price. We did receive $74.99, from which we had to subtract delivery fee, giving us only $67.00 to pay for the flowers/greenery, the vase, design time and Ava's receives 30% of the price we received. Also, the order we received from Ava's did have a recipe but it also plainly stated "Similar," meaning we have to abide by the current pricing. The order we designed was following the recipe but filled only to the retail value." When I replied back that their profit margin is not my issue. I paid for an item based on the size I selected. If I had wanted the small version I would have ordered at the lower price. Needless to say they refused to refund the difference. Their policy is that it doesn't matter what you ordered. They will determine how to fulfill the order based on what they determine to be the retail value. I can't speak for how they do business in person but as for ordering online thru a 3rd party that is fulfilled by them I can say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
