Passion fruit cocktail

Cocktail was nice. Pasta was yummy and creamy. Service was ok, not very warm or welcoming but not horrible. Lovely view outside

Pizza, pasta, whatever you want-a!

We loved the self-serve concept here. On arrival, you get a credit-card sized card, and entry to the restaurant. Choose your table, study the menu, and order from various food stations serving pizza, pasta and various other Italian style foods. Once you've ordered, press your card against a 'reader' and the cost of your purchase will be registered against it. When you leave, just present your card and your total will appear. The restaurant is spacious and can cope with just a few people or many dozens. There's an outside balcony with good views over the plaza, and a terrific view of a storm when we were there! Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We ordered a Truffle Oil pizza, and there were various herbs and oils we could add to it once served. It was the best pizza I've had in ages. The bar serves a good range of drinks and the Riesling is heavenly. Great concept, great food, great place. Recommended.

Chicken and Prawn Pesto Penne with Spinach and Pine Nuts

An interesting idea for a restaurant. On entry you are given a card with which everything you order is recorded on. Then at the end of your meal you go to the cashier, swipe the card and pay. This is a great idea for making split bills a breeze. The problem I found is the ordering. There is no table service. Whenever you want to order something you go to the counter designated for the good you want. For example, if you want a pizza, you go to the pizza counter. Pasta, to the pasta counter. Same for antipasti and salad, and the bar. When you order a pasta, you have to stand there and watch them cook it... Then if you wanted a salad, you'd have to move to the next counter and order again, wait for it to be made and then return to your seat to eat. Silly. We went on a quiet night, so there was no line. I can only imagine how painful it must be to order different things on night with long queues. THE FOOD however, was delicious. I ordered a bruschetta which was nice (although a little old by the time it was made and I went and ordered my main meal at the next counter). For main, I had a chicken and prawn pesto penne with spinach and pine nuts. Really, really good! Check it out of its quiet. The food is nice. But beware if it's busy.

Not gonna come again. I have to stand all the way to get my food. Why can't we order from the waiter and sit and wait for my food?

I had a peaceful walk and stopped in for a breakfast to complete my morning. The place was not busy…read more as at sat outside it was several seats available. I genuinely think my complaint is just a case of not being self aware. Feeling the energy between your tables is very important to offer a pleasant restaurant experience. The young waitress greeted nicely but was being a brush off and rushing. I was inquiring about the things in the menu and instead of giving proper feed back she just kept saying "I can give you more time". Although she claimed to be doing me a favor, I kept coming with more questions both my son and I both had and just didn't get the idea of offering more in put. It felt I was holding her up, but she honestly wasn't that busy. When I asked for another waitress she told her boss and personally her boss didn't handle it appropriately so I see where it trails down from. Proper training in customer service is needed. The manager came over when I called her over but at first she walked past my table like nothing ever happened. Assisting the customer as soon as you're available is protocol to any business. I waited after she attended several tables. She excused the younger girls behavior as she just talks fast but she was not very well servicing to my needs. Maybe to others she was but, as a retired server myself it takes experience and someone to tell you their disaffection for you to be aware of your actions and not to do it again. Hope she can improve.

The breakfast menu had a few interesting dishes and we ended up ordering a pizza and bacon and egg roll. Of course this is Australia so its not crispy bacon like in America, but more of a ham. The sandwich was alright though. It was good but nothing special. Same with the pizza. The service was fantastic and thats one thing we definitely loved. I would potentially give this another try during lunch or dinner hours.
