She is such a welcoming person and we both felt so comfortable in her gallery. She talked about some of her upcoming classes and workshops for younger artists as she remembers meeting my Granddaughter Savannah. Downtown Fort Mill is continuing to emerge post-COVID and the monthly art crawl is a great way to support our local art community. It's essential to have creative inspiration in our lives for balance & harmony. Ft Mill has doubled in size to 30,000 residents in the last 5 years and it's great to see so many out supporting local/independent business.

Firstly, their very young employee Emma took it upon herself to send the painting via UPS Saturday delivery! She never once asked me if this was okay and the shipping fees were absolutely astronomical! I use a business address for shipping and Saturday delivery isn't even possible! ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE CUSTOMER FIRST BEFORE MAKING SUCH BIG DECISIONS! I requested a refund for the shipping charges, but Emma refused! Young Emma kept promising me that she had followed up with UPS to reschedule delivery, but sadly, l had to keep following up with her as she never followed up with me directly! I kept tracking the package and there were even more hiccups! The package was never placed on the delivery truck for the supposed rescheduled delivery of yesterday. Today l wait and wait, At 4:37 p.m. l tracked the package again only to find that the wrong address is on the shipping label! Where is my painting? I will never know and will file a dispute with my cc company. Just a warning to please avoid SOCO at all costs for anything of value!

I arrived around 330pm on Sunday had had a leisurely stroll through the museum. It is smaller and quieter than uptown but has some nice artwork and exhibits. I would definitely come back to both locations, especially on Wednesdays when it is free in the evenings. Otherwise $15 day pass is still a solid, educational and wholesome way to spend a couple hours. Staff is pleasant and friendly. This location was not as crowded either so that was nice. Much of the museum focuses on decorative arts, ceramics, furniture, and textiles, which I found less engaging than I expected. I was hoping for a broader mix of artwork and exhibits. The museum is well maintained and worth visiting if you enjoy historical collections and design, but visitors looking for more contemporary or interactive exhibits may prefer the Uptown location instead.
