This place opened just a week ago and to me looked still a little unfinished. There was nothing ready in the counter so I had to wait a bit until they were done preparing my sushi. Not sure whether I liked this (freshly made food) or that it's a bit unorganized. Standing there and looking at the girls preparing the sushi I leaned more towards the unorganized/unprofessional side. Same experience as the other reviewer: the girl who prepared my sushi also took my money and I didn't stay to see whether she washed her hands afterwards. For some reason I doubt it... Sushi tasted good (arguable some of the better I had in Haarlem) but would I go here again? I'm not so sure...

They have many different kinds of sushi as well as other warm dishes that are also not too bad. They recently opened another location on the other side of the church so they now have have two locations within a 30 second walk from each other. They have the same menu and I was not able to notice a quality difference between these two locations (that being said the location in Amsterdam is nowhere neat as good as these two in Haarlem...I think they can get away with it because there are so many tourists in Leidseplein) You do not have to have a reservation but I would highly recommend making one. This place is very crowded and sometimes it is not even possible to reserve a table a few days in advance, especially on the weekends. In short, try this place (even if you don't like sushi) it is amazing!

The food always hits the spot. It's a perfect place for a nice lunch with family or friends. The ice cream, I really struggle with, because it's just too good to pass on. It's definitely one of those guilty pleasures. I have tried a lot of different ice cream spots in the center and they rank as one of my favorites. The location is very ideal, because it's right in the beginning of the center. A hop and skip away from the station, so you don't have to walk too far. So many wonderful different dishes to try.
