I have been going here for years and never had a bad experience. Lee and Steve are wonderful…read more They always explain what the problem is and how much it will cost to fix it. Every problem is always repaired in a timely manner, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them and definitely will continue to use them.

On the recommendation of a fellow Yelper. My Saturn Vue needed some serious attention. I've loved…read moreher terrible and have always tried to get her the best service. I called and spoke to Lee, the assistant manager and he indicated that I could come at anytime before 6 and if not, park her in the lot and drop keys in the door. Groovy. I arrived right around 6 and Lee was actually leaving. But guess what? He helped me out. Explained a diagnosis would be 100$ or applied to the repair of the car. Fair enough. They would check her out on Monday. Cool. What I didn't tell Lee was that I have one of those engine light scanner deals. Let's see if they're straight with me. Promptly on Monday morning at about 9am, I received a call. Lee basically repeated everything I had already scanned and gave a detailed breakdown and cost per line item. Wow. He even explained what each thing was when I inquired. Double wow! 1600$ hmmm okay let me think on it. And then I call him back because brother in law said it was leaking oil too and what about hoses? I hang my head in sadness, Lee reluctantly tells me that a seal is worn and the hoses are indeed spongy. Dang I knew the part about the hoses too. 2700$ The Pirate and I round tabled all options. From the outside she looked great! Some just age well with care. I knew the truth, time to call Bridge House. Since they couldn't get her until Friday, the Pirate called and asked if it would be okay to leave her there until they could pick her up. I went by the day before and paid Lee the 100$ (plus tax)and thanked him for their services. On Friday I met the man from Bridge House in their side lot so I could donate her. She hauled many an oyster from da bayou to businesses in New Orleans, multiple trips over her favorite bridge (the Luling bridge), a zillion trips to the airport, road trips with my dear Mother and even saved a man's life from a refinery explosion. She was tired. When we left, the Pirate said "damn! If we ever need anything on our cars, we're coming here" I agree, Honesty is the best policy and it's their policy!

Truck transmission and problem after the repair We brought…read morein a 2500 ram truck. The truck work perfectly except the reverse wouldn't engage. David said he doesn't do repairs he does total rebuilds. He quoted $2200, seems like a good price. He said about 5 days to complete the job. After 20 days he started coming up with reasons why it wasn't ready. !. he said he found some wires that needed to be worked on, I offered to pay extra for the labot 2. A few more days passed by he said he needed help plugging in one of the transmission wires?? that took a couple more days. 3. he said he had to replace three fuses in the truck, that concerned me. 4. Then he said he installed the wrong Torque converter?? Doesn't sound like he knows what he was doing. to replace the torque converter, he had to pull the transmission out again. 5. we went over there to see what was happening. 6. he said he couldn't get the truck to start, starting to believe he shorted out the computer. 7. he hired an electric mechanic that can troubleshoot the problem. The man said the PCM module (the computer that controls everything in the truck) was not working at all, zero info coming out of it. 8, he said that, that module was a one-of-a-kind unit and that there were none to be found anywhere. 9. I told him I found one and it was $960 with a one year warranty, It took me days to find it. 10. Then he said he got it running. I asked how? he said he found and old module from a vehicle he worked on in 2000. He installed the incorrect module, and the truck does run but there are fault lights showing up on the dash and the truck spudders some time. 11. I contacted him again and told him we need to purchase the correct module and he should pay for it. I said this truck was a pain in his side since it came in and then hung up on me. 12. he said the brake light was because the switch is bad. I'm an Electrical Engineer, the brake switch works properly, it is the computer that isn't reading the correct code and displaying the light. The ABS light is on, the ABS controls the brakes on the truck, in the truck. 13 At this point he will not make it good. We will be taking it to small claims court.
