From 2010 when we moved into the area until shortly before she died in 2017, she always got her hair groomed at Vanity Fur and the wonderful staff here. All the gals working here are great. The owner, Cori, took care of my dog until 2016. Darcy took over afterwards. As my dog got older, she developed cataracts. Since she couldn't see, she got jumpy and scared easily, so it took much patience to get her groomed, but both Cori and Darcy were always super good with her, and my dog never seemed to be afraid here. (she would shiver like mad whenever we walked into the vet though) Christy groomed her once and asked me to ask for Cori or Darcy next time because she wasn't as comfortable handling my dog. I really appreciated her honesty and humility. They always gave me a call as they were finishing up so I could pick her up without having her in the kennel and she always came home smelling and looking beautiful. She never had any cuts or nicks, and never developed any infections. (She did get an ear infection after going to a groomer before we found this place, but never here) After my dog died, I was very surprised to receive a hadnwritten card from the team expressing their condolences, along with a paw print they had on file for her. I was absolutely touched at their loving kindness. Personal, friendly, professional people and a happy, clean, beautiful dog. Thank you for the great job guys!

Lion cut! They are so darn cute! And less hair to clean up :-)

When I was new to the area, it was important to me to find a pet grooming service I could trust. After doing some research, I decided on Vanity Fur which was just a 10 min drive up the street to Shorewood...and I LOVE Shorewood...cute, quaint, nice town. Lots of little shops and restaurants downtown. This boutique is literally a little SPA for pets...it is so chic inside, and the store focuses on making it a stress free experience. The groomers always seem a little busy, but this may just come with their popularity and demand. I always need to call several weeks in advance for an appointment. But concerning the quality of the grooming, I know my babies are always in good hands. It was nice to find a groomer that offered services for felines. Their haircuts are always perfectly adorable as well as functional, and they always clean the ears and clean and cut their nails, which is a nice bonus. Vanity Fur does offer a wide variety of services, which they tailor to the individual pet and owner's needs. My first few times there, the groomers discussed in depth the personalities of my animals, and what I wanted done as well as their recommendations on what was most functional. Some unique services include spa packages, nail painting and hair coloring... fun! Although I have not partaken in these! Slightly on the pricey side, but my pets are handled delicately and treated with care, and the results are always fantastic...did I mention ADORABLE!?!? I would recommend anyone to trust Vanity Fur with their pet.

My bernedoodle puppers is quite a fun handful and needs to be groomed every 6-8 weeks. We've been…read moreto another groomer but the busy environment and kenneling was too much for her (even though her groomer there was awesome!). Both Melissa and Nick have done phenomenal jobs on her and I am most impressed by how the management communicates! We had to reschedule her appt based on the holidays and they did everything they could to accommodate. They made it happen! I am VERY particular about the quality of care for every member of my family and do not compromise. Furryland Land exceeds all of my expectations.

Anxious dog or difficult traveling to salon - this is your answer. Our 5 year old, 70lb Golden…read moreRetriever Sonny, grew increasingly anxious for trips to the groomer to the point he laid down in the middle of a busy parking lot and refused to move. I learned about Furry Land on a fb neighborhood group. We have used their services for over a year now and we couldn't be happier. Appointments are easy to make online and communication via text messages are convenient. The mobile salon van arrives on time and the groomers are all so nice, professional and caring. This time Grace traveled to us in the frigid Temps (when all the schools are closed type of cold) and greeted us with a smile. She took time to talk to me about Sonny and the plan for the grooming service. She listened and gave Sonny pets and attention before taking him to the van. With Sonny right out front in the van I had less anxiety too and no time traveling to drop him off or pick him up as he was right there. I went about my weekend chores while Sonny got washed and trimmed. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes Sonny and Grace returned and He was still anxious and excited but no car ride to extend his anxiety, I was able to comfort him immediately. While we talking about how the service went and finishing up, Sonny had a little bleeding from his front nail and Grace noticed it and went into action. She examined his paw then ran out to bring in the quick clot and apply. The bleeding stopped right away. Grace reassured us that the bleeding was likely increased due to his anxiety and pressure being up, it would heal and it did. Sonny looked like himself again! No more Grinch Paws and his fur was shiny and soft. Our fluff ball was back. The full service costs about $25-30 more than our previous groomer but it is well worth it for us. Honestly without this option I don't know what we will do so I hope they continue this awesome service for all the pets like our Sonny. Besides all the convenience, I have to say how thankful we are for the great staff! These people are truly all incredible with such sweet personalities that make us feel very comfortable- big big Thank you Grace and team.

I have bred and shown a sporting breed for over 35 years. I have always loved German Shepherds and…read morewanted to do performance work with them. The time is finally right for me to make the commitment to a GSD. Thus, I researched German Shepherd breeders in the Wisconsin area for months and really wasn't finding the "right" one until I found Clayton Warichak's website. I called him to find out more about his dogs and his breeding program. (basically to interview him a little!) I wanted to meet his dogs and see for myself what they were like before deciding if they were right for me. He invited me out to a training he offers every other weekend. (all at no cost). All of the dogs are his breeding and range in age from puppies to adult dogs providing a good age range, enabling me to see structure, temperament, and development along a broad timeline. This also provided me with an opportunity to meet and talk to the many owners, who had a mix of interests in what they were doing with their dogs. I learned of a breeding he was planning and would have puppies born in about three months. After meeting him, his wife, his son, the dogs, and all of the owners of the dogs I knew this was the breeder and line of dogs that I wanted. We agreed that I would get a first pick male puppy from that breeding. He said that because I came out and met him and the dogs he appreciated my sincere interest and would like to work with me also. I was most impressed because not only was I interviewing him, but he was interviewing me. This showed me he was sincerely careful of where his puppies went and who they went with. This is a quality of a truly outstanding breeder. As the time grew closer to the birth of the litter, Clayton kept in regular contact with me, even sending me pictures of the mother's ultrasound showing how many pups there were. The day the pups were born, Clayton called me many times during the course of the day as each puppy was born. (Clayton whelps his litters himself). My gratefulness and excitement was beyond words. It only confirmed that I had made the right decision. Several weeks later I went to his house to pick out my puppy. Being new to the breed I wanted his evaluation and guidance. We critically evaluated all six males carefully. After 35 plus years of breeding GSDs I value and trust Clayton's opinion completely. Several weeks later I went to pick up my puppy (Pan). I was provided with a Litter Certificate, showing Pan's pedigree, a written hip and health guarantee, and a bag containing toys, a collar, and a leash. Clayton also provides the entire regiment of puppy shots over the coming months at no cost. Pan is the most wonderful little guy, full of personality and playfulness. He absolutely loves and plays with my three grandchildren. He learns fast knowing basic commands and is only just 3 months old. He is friendly to everyone including my 12.5 year old sporting dog. Pan represents the carefully planned breedings that Clayton does. Clayton studies pedigrees and carefully plans every breeding. He provided me with pedigrees and pictures of Pan's breeding before Pan was born at my request. His dogs are thoughtfully and carefully bred with enormous knowledge. These dogs can fill a variety of interests from living in family homes to working as police-k9 or in search and rescue, along with agility, conformation, and also Schutzhund (IGP). Clayton is always there to help guide me and answer all of my questions. He returns my phone calls timely. He is a person of extremely high integrity. He has been awarded The Best Dog Breeder in Jefferson County 3 times. If you are looking for a GSD with good health, high trainability, intelligence, and temperament, look no further. If you are looking for a breeder who is caring, honest, and ethical along with having extensive experience in confirmation and Shutzhund events, look no further. There is something truly special about Clayton, his dogs, and the Stadtrand Family that he has created with his dogs. Clayton's dogs are the entire package. You won't go wrong choosing this breeder.

I could not have been happier and my dog lived to be almost 14. My dog was a true soldier to my family, a great pet, ptsd support animal and best friend-a true fur son and as I called him my "Dog man" lol...he was everything and when I saw a litter born 12/20....the same day he passed away I knew I had to have one.... even if a girl this time....which I'm looking forward to. My dog came out of the box at 12 weeks potty trained, never chewed or bit ....he was a model puppy in behavior. We understand that's rare but he was born intelligent and with a great love of humans. He would not eat until the human said to....even though we never taught that! He was always focused on me and gentle with my grandkids and his cat (Pumpsy). We already love our new girl and all we've seen is a couple photos. The whole litter is spectacular and it was hard picking between the 3 Clayton liked for us. I'll update with photos after she settles in. So grateful 14 years later that Clayton and family are still breeding great dogs. If we ever want another we will be back. Wish we lived closer to him to join the training! Signed, --excited new owner--
