This place was so disappointing because the staff took advantage of us. All I wanted was a crepe and they charged me 6 euros. I didn't look at the menu prior, I just ordered it because I saw it on the board with no price. He told the cashier to ring me up, but I know (very) little Italian and I had a bad feeling he told the cashier to ring me up extra because he had a lot to say. He should have said one crepe, but he added onto that and I read his face and the cashier was confused so he had to repeat it. Crepes in Europe are always cheap. After we paid I asked to see the menu (with prices and all) and the tall male waiter knew what I was doing so he immediately attempted to defend himself by saying those prices don't include tax even before I could flip to the section. The crepe was priced 4,50!! So "tax" (which most places don't even charge) is 1,50?? Couldn't believe it. I asked him why it says 4,50 but yet he charged me 6 and he started yelling at me in Italian and repeating those prices don't include tax. Couldn't believe it. You trust people to charge you accordingly, but apparently I should have asked first because this unprofessional establishment can't be trusted. We didn't even dine in, we got it as take away!!! You people that take advantage of tourist DISGUST me. We come to explore your country and culture and you make people like us never want to return and instead speak poorly of you. This instance is neither the first, second, or third time this has happened in our 10 days Italy. This country is absolutely disappointing and filthy. read more
