That is not accurate, and I strongly disagree with that characterization of what happened. The item that was discarded was attached to the thermostat and should not have been removed. I was then left dealing with the cost of replacing it, which ended up being around $150 to $200. What makes this even more frustrating is that instead of taking real accountability, your response shifts the blame onto me. That response only makes me feel less confident in your company. Based on my experience, I do not trust this business and would not recommend the service.

After the deep clean, they said they would give me regular fixed pricing for maintenance, which was $220 every 2 weeks for 3 hrs each clean. They kept mixing up my text with other clients so it was very confusing on time, price, and duration. After they came 1 time for the regular maintenance, the management told me I had to give them cash in person from now on. The second time they came I went to the atm and by the time I came back they were already gone (only worked 2 hrs). They shamed me for not having the cash and told me it was embarrassing to ask for payment. Now after servicing my home 5 times, they tell me that my home needs picking up and changing of sheets (which the cleaners offered to do the first cleaning) is extra work and my home is so big that they should be charging me $50 more each time, but they will give me on $20 increase and if I want to pay by Zelle, it's additional $10. I tend to keep missing the cleaning ladies because they only come for 2 hrs instead of the 3hrs I thought I was paying for. They also continue to mix up my text messages with other clients. We made a conscious effort to take our dogs and spend some time away from the house so the cleaners could work without us around/in the way. We had the dogs leashed up and ready to leave just before 11 am (scheduled time), but no one showed up until 11:30 am. We were gone for over 4 hours, and stayed in the backyard once we returned. We heard, "we're done!" and my girlfriend went in and thanked the woman (a second woman was already gone, I assume waiting outside) and I got the OK to let the dogs in and come inside. When I got inside, I was surprised to see dust almost everywhere, smudges on windows and appliances, rugs un-vacuumed, loads of dog hair just under the edge of the couch (not expecting them to move furniture or anything excessive), and a rag left on the stove top. I then asked my girlfriend what the cost of this "deep cleaning" was and was again surprised that the typical rate is nearly $300. I visited the Coastal House Cleaning website to see what their service breakdown was. Per their website: Clean cobwebs and dust shelves - (nightstands and dressers were wiped down, but no other flat surfaces were wiped down) Dust ceiling fan & blades - (ceiling fan in bedroom was cleaned, with big dust chunks left on the floor. Living room fan untouched, see photo) Vacuum carpeted areas - (we don't have carpet but there is a large area rug that was untouched) Sweep and mop hardwood floors - (partial mopping done) Clean all light switches & door knobs - (see front door lock photo) Stove and appliances cleaned - (stove top appeared wiped down, microwave untouched, see photo) Countertops and backsplashes cleaned - (were already cleaned by us, no visible change) Clean & dry shower door, track & glass - (we have a shower curtain, so not applicable) Clean the inside and outside of toilets - (done, but bidet knobs on toilets were untouched -- just dusty and needed a quick once-over with a rag) Blinds, shutters, and window ledges wiped down - (not done at all, see photos) Baseboards dusted and wiped clean - (not done at all, see photos) So then I think... okay maybe they gave us a standard cleaning? Checked the website and I guess we didn't get a standard cleaning, either (no trash was emptied, no lights dusted.) I am extremely disappointed. When my girlfriend texted the owner, who she had scheduled with, we were asked if we did a walk-through at the end. No, we had dogs anxious to get in the house and had we immediately seen any of this stuff, the cleaners would've been at our home another 4+ hours. When I read over the reviews, I see a lot of move in/move out cleanings, which probably don't meet much criticism because people aren't actively living in those places. My girlfriend and I spent another hour cleaning the house after the cleaners left. If you're looking for a DEEP clean, this isn't the company to go with. Honestly I wouldn't hire them for a standard cleaning after this experience either.
