Just trust us, basically. well that doesn't work well. this treatment belongs to me. until i searched the details, i was working in the dark. this process should, in end, get me to a well targeted treatment plan and the right equipment for my apneas. it took a while for me to come to this understanding. while the process is not perfect or totally wonderful, I would recommend Dr. Raguram's persistence and commitment to one's treatment. five stars for never giving up. five stars for being firmly encouraging even though his patient is very skeptical of the whole thing. for us patients information can be your friend here. sleep problems are hard to understand. ask questions. be persistent yourself. this is your treatment. your health will be improved if you can sleep well every night.

I was initially happy with Dr. Raghuram's availability and his expertise. I was less satisfied with…read morethe information portal for Vancouver Sleep Center and had given them a 4 star review based on that. My opinion has changed, based on his unprofessional bedside manner. The good: He is a knowledgeable sleep doctor. You can get an appointment with him sooner than other local clinics, including availability of a home sleep test much faster. The unacceptable: I've been struggling with restless leg, for which he diagnosed Gabapentin, which is the standard recognized treatment. No problem there. But after 9 days on it, I felt too sedated. My mood was flat, and I felt sleepy all of the time. I informed him that I was discontinuing the medication via a message to his internal portal. I also informed him that I had looked up optional measures I might take in an AI chat and asked for an appointment with him to get his professional opinion. His response? Crickets. I posted another message on the portal, asking if he had seen my earlier message. No response. I contacted his office manager by phone, who said he would follow up. No response. I posted another message on the portal informing him that I don't consider an AI chat to be medical advice, which was why I wanted an appointment. No response. I cancelled the appointment I had set up months after first trying Gabapentin as a follow-up, because refusing to respond to a patient concern after two months of trying is unprofessional. I have transferred my care to the Vancouver Clinic, where Dr. Hong understands that I may seek self-help options to discuss with him and that I rely on him for medical advice. Really, this isn't that hard.

If you are in need of sleep related medical care, this is the place to go! What I would say sets them apart is they listen and they care. My journey through health issues has been full of doctors and staff who don't either listen, or if they do, don't care. When one chooses to work in healthcare they need to realize how important their work is to others lives and unfortunately most I have encountered have forgotten this. Westside Sleep Center is the one place I have found that seems to remember that their patients are people who are in need of help. I don't write a lot of Yelp! Reviews, but am so thankful for these folks that I felt I had to. Top notch!

Caution on pediatric care, we had years of unneeded BiPap therapy…read more We saw Dr. Fromherz for years after our pediatrician recommended a sleep study for my son's restless legs. He was diagnosed with severe central and obstructive sleep apnea at a young age and prescribed a BiPAP machine. Across three separate sleep studies with this practice, that diagnosis was maintained. This led to years of struggling to get him to wear a high-pressure machine he couldn't tolerate. At age 14, routine bloodwork revealed low iron and ferritin levels. We transferred his care to OHSU Pediatric Sleep Clinic for a fresh evaluation, where comprehensive sleep testing confirmed my son does not have sleep apnea at all, neither central nor obstructive. OHSU identified the periodic leg movements were likely related to his iron deficiency. They recommended iron supplementation, completely ruling out the need for a BiPAP machine. If your child needs sleep care, save your family the stress and go straight to a dedicated pediatric center like OHSU.

The sooner I can "finally" find out my account status with Sleep Technologies, and know that I am free-and-clear of any financial obligations, I will close my account and never do business with them again. I am also going to strongly encourage my health care provider to NOT recommend sending their patients to Sleep Technologies for services of any kind. Their lack of responsiveness and terrible/fraudulent business practices needs to continue to be called-out and if they don't change their manner of conducting business, they no longer deserve to continue do so. When you charge a patient (and their insurance) the cost of a complete headgear package (AirFit P30i Starter Pack @ $206.58 with all the parts and pieces included -- which can be purchased directly from ResMed for only $121.00) and on that same invoice -- recharge again for all of the individual parts and pieces that were already included in headgear package, then fail to provide those extra individual parts and pieces that were paid for, that's called FRAUD and THEFT. The means by which I caught Sleep Technologies in this scam was by checking my EOB against their billing invoice. I was over billed total of $182.24 -- $11.39 (the amount I paid) + $170.85 (the amount my insurance/Medicare paid). The total cost of what should have been a single $121.00 headgear package, ended-up costing $388.82 through Sleep Technologies. Since people rarely, if ever, go through this checking process Sleep Technologies has most likely been getting away with this scam for years. And if they are doing this with all their patients, I can only imagine that this fraudulent means of conducting business has potentially cost patients and insurances thousands of dollars over the years (and that's with headgear sales alone). It would behove the Washington State Insurance Commission to investigate and conduct an extensive audit into Sleep Technologies, which is what I am recommending that they do.

I remember when she was 2 weeks old and was awake for 8 hours straight, and any attempt to put her down was met with lots of tears and screaming. She slept OK at night, but then the 4-month sleep regression hit us and she started waking up 5-7x per night! As a working mom, I knew I had to get this under control. When my daughter turned 4.5 months old, I started asking around for sleep coach recommendations. I had already read three books on sleep training, and I was active on various mom and sleep training Facebook groups. I tried a few tactics here and there, but saw no success and knew I needed help. Lauren came recommended by a couple of moms from my Baby and Me group. I reached out to her and two other local sleep coaches in the area, and hired Lauren based on her in-depth knowledge on the subject. And I am so glad I did! In fact, my husband and I both say that hiring Lauren was the best investment we've made in our daughter so far. Sleep is priceless! Lauren and I had a 2 hour consultation over Facetime, and a day later she sent me a custom plan. We agreed to not start the sleep training and nap training plan until I came back from my business trip because we needed 3 weeks of a repetitive schedule to make sure the plan stuck. But she did provide us with a transitional plan, which included tactics we could start right away to make sure the sleep training and nap training went smoothly. On day 1 of sleep training, my nanny had to hold my daughter for ALL of her naps, and she restlessly slept for those naps. That night as we attempted sleep training, she cried for 35 minutes and woke for an hour crying (we used the Ferber Method). By the end of the first week, my daughter was taking two long naps totaling over 3 hours per day, and she was consistently sleeping through the night. The best part of this is she now knows how to independently fall asleep on her own! Lauren was available via text and email every step of the way. She provided fantastic real-time advice and support. She did a great job at setting expectations for me as well. I would highly recommend Laura to any parent who desperately needs to get some ZzZzs at night!

On some busy evenings when we couldn't carve out an hour of time put the kids down, they'd be up until 10 or 11 pm! Every parent knows how difficult that makes the following day, and thus begins the painful cycle. Enter: Sleep trainer. To be honest, I was hesitant to the idea at first. But after applying her program our kids were conditioned to be asleep in their own rooms by 8:30 pm in less than two weeks! Because of this, my wife and I found a two-hour window where we could actually have adult conversations, spend time together and literally have a "date night at home" every night. We can't thank Sleep and the City enough!
