Nice place but the person on number 11 just didn't do a good job on my french "dip powder" nails. And I payed $47. First, I had gel on my nails from another salon and she only left the nail polish remover for a bit and used a more harsh way to take it off. Which made my nails look FRAGILE. Next, while she was cutting and filing she didn't even bother to see if both hands were even. Some are still long and some short! And some are crooked! Keep in mind these are my natural nails. And she didn't even take of the excess skin around the nail like the cuticle. Third, as soon as there were more people coming in she started rushing. Some of the white nail polish is faded like she didn't go over it to make sure it is completely white. And to top it all of she left nail polish on my skin! And the French tip all look uneven. As a starter the Korean lady who did my nails today had no idea how to remove hard gel, the correct and only way to remove hard gel is by buffing. After I told her they were hard gel, she first tried to soak them off but it didn't work, I told her she should be buffing off instead, she then tried to remove it by forcely picking them with the cuticle pusher....I'm not a nail technician but I know you should NEVER try to pick you nails off... I came in for a regular gel pedicure because I read the reviews and had very high expectations but unfortunately they were not met. The nail lady asked me if I wanted my toenails cut and filed and I said yes please just not too short. Guess what? She cut them really short. I noticed they were slanted so I kept asking her to file them to get them even. At one point she said no more. I had to file them myself once I got home. This has become my go-to nail and waxing spa whenever I am in this neighborhood. I really like the varieties of nail arts they do here, lots of pretty gel colors. The cat eyes gel colors are my favorites these days, they look much shiner than regular gel. I have yet tried the nail powders here but I would love to give it a try next time. The gel colors always lasted longer here, so it's really worth getting some pretty designs and colors. The waxing service has been good, it's just so hard to wax me because of my super thin and light body hair. At the place itself, I had a great experience. So you get a star. It was my first time here, the staff was very nice and welcoming. I had them work on my real nails (which they shaped very well) and came in to try the dip powder because I had heard so many great things in comparison to gel manicures. The sign on the wall at the store says that dip will last 3-4 weeks so I was very excited to see the outcome. A few hours later i saw some cracks on my nails...Didn't think anything of it. The next day my pinky nail broke in the middle. My nail did not hurt so I knew it was the just dip nail that cracked so I just put nail glue to hold it together (see picture). It's been a week since my manicure and now my index finger completely cracked (see picture). I don't do any hard labor with my hands and I read online that dip powder can last up to 8 weeks...so what went wrong? Dip powder is so expensive + tip, I'm upset. **adding on to my review... So as I mentioned up there ^^ they shaped my nails really well and took their time with it. However, they sanded it down so much that my nails are PAPER THIN now. This is my first time coming here and I will not be coming back. Such a bad experience. Lack of skill and quality service. I went in for a manicure. I did Gel x and I had two designs on each figure. First, I asked the nail technician to cut the Gel x shorter and I had to repeat myself 5x and she wouldn't do it. She would say "okay" and not do anything. Also, she had a little attitude when she responded. If she did as I have asked, I wouldn't have to repeat myself. Second, my nails were not cut evenly on both hands. My nails on my left hand is longer than the right. Third, I chose a are very simple design and she couldn't do it (as pictured). In addition, she couldn't understand what I was trying to tell her. The owner Hana had to explain to her what I was saying because she couldn't understand very much English. Anyway, after I have corrected her so many times for one nail. I got tired and frustrated and I just let it go. She couldn't even design one nail correctly. I felt like she didn't even care about doing a good job. As you can see on my photos the nail design looked nothing like I wanted (pictured left). Gel X cost $60 and $18 for designs. I was charged overprice for designs the nail technician couldn't do. If Hana knows her staff is unable or not very skilled with designs, she should be upfront about it. Instead of having her try to design nails and charging the customer. Seems like she is just trying to make money. I felt like Hana and her staff don't provide quality work and service is lacking. They don't care about doing things right. I came here because it's close by where I live and I was very impressed with the photos that are on yelp. However, this was a "what you asked for" vs "what you got" situation. I called and made an appointment and when I arrived I didn't have to wait at all to get seated and started, which was nice. I've been to other salons that even with an appointment, I still have to wait because of overbooking. I don't know his name, but my nail technician was a man. I asked for a full set of dip powder + tips with a slight coffin shape. I knew something was wrong when he first put the tips on and there was a dent (think V shape) where the tip met my nail. I didn't say anything and looked past it that perhaps he will fill in the dent with the dip powder. I see at the edge near my cuticles it was very thick and I hate that look. I told him about it and he said he hasn't gotten there yet. Okay, fair enough. But once he was finished, they still are pretty thick and some nails were distorted! I had to have him redo 3 of them. I wish I took a picture before he fixed it because the shape of my nail was literally wavy, not a smooth natural curve. He did a very sloppy job and you can see the excess of powder curling up near my cuticles. I'm so disappointed. Not to mention every so often I would be smelling farts! It was so disgusting sitting there and I had to cover my nose a few times! Sat through this mans farts for nails that weren't even worth the $44 plus tip I paid. I'll never go here again. read more

1 star because booking a future appointment with a tech I chose wasn't even there on the day of my appointment. I'm so confused with how booking an appointment in advance works. I booked a future appointment with Hana (got my confirmation email the same day to secure my appointment) to only arrive at the salon to be told she wasn't there? I also arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. (Mind you I booked this appointment 1 week in advance and on the booking site it listed her name and availability) I'm disappointed because I am not really from the area and would've been nice if I got an e-mail stating she wasn't going to be available a day prior, just how their cancellation fee works (must notify business 24 hrs if you will not be able to make it to your appointment) I stayed anyway because I wasn't going to leave w/o a manicure and pedicure because my cousin is getting married this weekend and this was the only day I could get it done.
