ok- we have never had a bad experience with this merchant and had planned on using them with future appliances but in 12/24 bought a Whirlpool washing machine from them- in addition, we bought the 3 year insurance protection policy- last week our washing machine broke down with the computer system- when I called Van Reedes to file a complaint, they referred me to the insurance company they utilize- when I called that number, they referred me to EPIC to file a claim as 'that is the process' I was told- claim filed, and today when I followed up, the mid insurance company as no record of a claim but was told they are having problems with EPIC and are looking at replacing them. So.... here we sit wondering what to do next- paid the insurance and this is all we got- nothing- done with Van Reedes at this point!!!!!! read more

I bought a high end fridge from there, what a mistake that was. I had bought things back before howie voight bought them out, but they kept the name. What a shame that is, what a disgrace to the previous owners. OH, sure, they will sell you anything you want but they do not have the service to back their sales. Their staff is inexperienced to say the least. I have been without a fridge now for 2.1 months and they now tell me that it will take another 3 weeks before they can even service my machine. This thing is under warranty. Have been living out of a cooler now, you think they care? I will never purchase another thing from this group. Please be aware their extended service contracts are not done in country either, so have fun trying to get anything done via tht way. NO SERVICE AT ALL AFTER THE SALE, BUYERS BEWARE !!!! read more

Horrible customer service. They sold me an expensive appliance package and now they refuse to service it under warranty. The microwave is only 8 months old and they told me to call Maytag because we live outside their service area. We were not out of their area for delivery. Worst treatment by sales and manager I ever experienced. They do not care once they get their sale. read more

I have never left a negative review before, but feel I need to do my part to save someone else a hassle. We ordered all new kitchen appliances and had a very long wait (over a year), which we have been understanding about, as they do not control the supply. That is not why this review is negative. We have had nothing but terrible customer service from the Oshkosh store. Phone calls left unreturned. We paid in full and then got ignored unless we called them for information, it made us feel as if we had to hound them. We asked if they could throw in a removal fee after having our money for over a year while we didn't have the product, and dealt with rudeness and a threat to keep our money and the dishwasher we ordered. They also cancelled our delivery date. We've also had to have the microwave serviced already and the handle fell off of our refrigerator/freezer too. We made the effort to buy here rather than a big box store, but I'll not recommend them to anyone we know. read more

Very POOR customer service. They don't want to help the customer after the sale even while the product is still under warranty. 4 service calls and still nothing. Whirlpool finally says to have them take the refrigerator back and all we get is I can't take care of that today. When will they be able to take care of anything. Will never purchase another item form Van Vreede's again. And can not recommend them to anybody. ZERO stars!! read more

We have purchased several appliances from them in the past. Never have had a problem before, but we never needed anything serviced before. They will deliver to you, but when it comes to service, you have to pay a fee of $76.95 for them to come out. Then, there is the labor charge. That will be at least $99. They hire out someone else to do the service. That was Howie Voight. Don't do business with them either. That is where my trouble came from. Labor is supposed to be guaranteed for 30 days. Apparently, they don't stand behind their work or their guarantee. On my order for service it said, "Underneath freezer, pan fills up with water and ice, water leaks all over the floor. Water runs more when using dispenser." They fixed a drain grommet that was a quality issue. The part was paid for, but I had to pay for labor. Guess what? Even though ice did not build up anymore, the frig still leaked. A repairman came out and told me it was the water valve and showed me where it was leaking. He said I would not have to pay the trip fee, just the part and labor. When I said I already paid for labor, he said it was for two different things. I told him I would not pay one penny for labor. He called back, after he talked to his boss. Because they were two different things that were broken, he would cut the labor in half and I would pay $50 for labor. I told them to forget it. It took less than 20 minutes to fix it the first time and would take about 5 minutes this time. Next time I need to purchase an appliance, or furniture, I will go anywhere but Van Vreede's. I suggest you do the same. read more
