It is worth noting this building has become an immersive art experience building. It was originally Van Gogh, but is now Monet. They control the number of people for each time slot well, and you don't feel crowded if you want to linger and read information. They have comfortable seating areas in the 360 exhibit area, and the entire "show" was probably 45 minutes before the art starts to repeat. The best part about the immersive art is that you could choose to sit through it more than once, if you wish to. There's no time limit once you are inside. I think they do a great job trying to cluster information together to help you understand the training and path, and life, journey of the artist throughout each phase of their life. it's easy to just walk up and stare at a painting. I love that they took a certain view of the parliament building and showed how the artist painted it five times throughout his lifetime and how his style and colors changed with each phase of his life. I really think they tried hard to blend and history together, which is unique. It gave me a deeper appreciation. I didn't pay attention to see if there was an elevator, but we did take a lot of stairs to get from the restrooms on the bottom floor to part of the exhibits on the first floor, and the upper floor would be where the movie viewing gallery would be where you are immersed in a 360 circle with the art. I love that they used an existing downtown building and that you can park and walk to so many restaurants and museums in the downtown Cincinnati area. We chose the Fountain Square parking garage, went to eat at Nada and walked to the Monet exhibit. We noticed on the walk that we could've also went to the contemporary art museum, which is right downtown but we were out of time. It could be a good full day of lunch and art. The building is a little chilly, I would recommend having a coat. I think it's such an older large building. It's probably very expensive to heat. This was a great girls trip day event, and everyone enjoyed it from the 20-year-olds to my mother who is in her 60s. read more

The Van Gogh Experience in Cincinnati was great. It was both beautiful and very informative. I learned a lot about Van Gogh himself as well as his paintings. The immersive experience was cool and well, as advertised, it was definitely immersive. I realize the Van Gogh experience has moved on, but the Monet is running currently and I'm certain it's as good. I'll say it was worth the cost of admission, so there you have it. Maybe because my expectations were so low based on several reviews buuuuuuut.... I thought this experience was awesome. Van Gogh is a favorite of mine and I personally have a passion for art. With that said, the sensory you experience from the art-immersion is incomparable to anything else! I recommend! There's more than just a large room with video images (although this room is SO COOL!)... as you enter, you're welcomed into a timeline of Van High's life and several galleries of his famous Iris', Sunflower Series, Starry Night and more. The VR experience at the end is worth all the money in my opinion. It was also my first time with an Oculus so it will definitely be an experience I won't forget! Pro tip: we went on a Thursday at 12:30p and it was empty! read more

I celebrated my 40th birthday, with my family, at the Van Gogh experience. We all had a fantastic time! The life-sized exhibits were awe inspiring, especially when an entire large room lit up with the Starry Night painting. I do wish that there were more exhibits that you could interact with instead of just look at, and I also agree that it was slightly too crowded. The price of the tickets was also a bit high for the overall experience, but even so I would still recommend going to see it. It was pretty magical. read more

This was a very unique experience indeed! I knew very little about Van Gogh's life but was familiar with his paintings. So the walk through was very enlightening. My absolute favorite part (as I'm sure it was for many) was walking into the giant room that projected an animation of his artwork blending from his earlier days to his darker days. They had several rugs, bean bags and lawn chairs out for people to sit on/in and just watch as the "painting show" played on all four walls and even on the floor. It was such a colorful and beautiful presentation. I really enjoyed the music they chose to accompany all the active artwork. The last portion of the "experience" was with the VR. Never having experienced the VR goggles before, it was really cool to "immerse"myself into a walk around "town" viewing the sights he found inspiring them into paintings. Loved it! read more

Do this! It was so cool! A little expensive, to be honest, but if you are a fan of Van Gogh, its a one of a kind experience that you wont regret. You get to walk around in a room that has like a million projectors aimed at the walls and floor that are showing his art. it creates an amazing 3D immersive effect that makes you feel like you are in the painting itself. The attendant admitted us a half an hour before our time slot because we were unexpectedly early, so I assume they were admitting many others just the same. This created a backup of people and made it difficult to read the info throughout due to crowding. I appreciate the opportunity to attend but hate to say, it wasn't worth the cost. read more

Not worth the cost and time. They say it is a "60-70 minute" walk through but I took my time and it was maybe 25-30 minutes the most. The painting they show are horrible quality copies, there are only two actual 3D pieces and there is a giant room that has a animation with music. That is it. Entirely too overpriced for what it is. Just a gimmicky cash grab. Would much rather see his actual art in museums.

I'm a big fan of Van Gogh and enjoyed the exhibit. It's really overpriced, however, especially when one adds in the extra charge for the VR experience and parking. I noticed that older folks had trouble getting in and out of the sling seats in the viewing area as well. My husband and son really enjoyed it, so that was a plus. read more

I loved the actual art pieces and events. Very immersive and intriguing. The gift shop is full of cheap chinese garbage and it's best if there aren't any loud a** kids to annoy you. Art was great and so were the activities, just hope you don't get there at the same time as children. they really ruin the experience read more
