There's a nice selection of outdoor flowers and plants, trees, indoor plants, furniture, and gardening tools. The plants here look amazing and healthier than ones you would find at a typical Canadian Tire or Home Depot. However, do expect to pay a lot more for better-looking plants (i.e a $20 hydrangea at Canadian Tire would be $40 here). The staff here are friendly and are very knowledgeable so don't hesitate on asking about the plants. My first visit was during their Customer Appreciation Event meaning that all in-stock items were 25% off (not sure how often they have this event). Nonetheless, if you're willing to spend some extra money for a fantastic looking garden or for a hard to find plant, this is the place!

Unlike other stores, I've seen workers confront anti-maskers and escort them from the store. The girls are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, happy to make arrangements and talk about the plants and flowers. The soil guys out back are very helpful and strong! Remember to tip them! I've seen some reviews about the owner, but they're very one sided. I've been to the greenhouse frequently and started gardening a lot. I've only ever seen the owner stick up for his employees when they're being belittled and berated. Again this is only a few instances, but I can only imagine that the people with 1 star reviews of this place are also the types of people who don't get their way and tell their version of what happened. With that out of the way, they have a fantastic inventory and honestly considerably cheaper than other greenhouses in the area. It's no wonder that there's always a lineup.

As I was walking out of Starsky in the same plaza I looked up I see in bright shining letters "BIRD SEED"! I drove across the parking lot and saw that Urban Nature Store was offering curbside pick up. I hadn't placed a pre-order, but the employee was nice enough to help me. I asked for a basic bag of feed - I'm no bird expert, the feeder was a gift. Apparently they have 16 types of bird seed, who knew. I paid $12 for a large bag of their most popular/standard seed - it was the smallest one they carried and I suppose it makes sense given you likely have to refill it quite often. The transaction was done quick and safe and I was grateful to have come across this shop, which I have never noticed before.

They delivered it as promised, and it sat till the contractor came to install it a few weeks later. As he was installing it, it became clear that what was delivered was short. About 120 sq feet by my calculation. I called them to let them know and to ask them to please deliver the remaining and they basically said, too bad (rudely). I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they are not a member so we will see. The fact that they are not Better Business Bureau members should be a big red flag to everyone. Buyer beware; NOT RECOMMENDED.

Also, the succulents and cacti usually don't have right soil to grow in.

I came in, there was a worker, eager and waiting in the exact same aisle that I was in. I showed her what I was looking for and she eventually found it. She did NOT have any kind of device on her to allow her to search for the item herself, so I found that a bit strange as a sales associate. Everyone probably already knows this, but the HD website is quite good. If you look something up, in the particular store that you're at, the site will tell you exactly how many that's in the inventory, what aisle/row to locate it in! Checkout was also a breeze with a young cashier standing eagerly in front of her til letting me know that she was free. It seemed like all their old timers were replaced with younger, foreign workers. So new manager perhaps? In any event, it was a pleasant change from my previous experiences!
