Oil leaking after service
John C.

Absolutely terrible experience , not clear pricing , put wrong oil in my truck and won't accept responsibility or fault even though the label on the oil cap and their receipt which shows what they did was wrong. Now I got leaking oil from incorrectly changing the filter . DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE !!!

This is my FAVORITE oil change express of ALL TIME, and when I was born Moby Dick was still a minnow. A baby minnow. I've had my inspection done there, and my oil changes for the past 3 years. Great CREW, great teamwork, excellent service and trusted work. I like staying in my car during oil changes, I can listen to the radio & don't have to smell burnt coffee (you know what I mean!) and hear the phones ringing, and the whole lobby thing. Most of all, I TRUST them with my car, an Audi A3. And I'll tell you, I tend to write good or bad reviews but if I could give them 100 stars I would. Trust, service, comfort....what's NOT to like? Thanks guys and gals. On a side note, I came in November and my oldest brother had just passed away up In Missouri, and I was getting a change to leave on the trip to the funeral and I didn't tell anyone there, but one of the techs must've sensed my grief, and he just went out of his way on a day that sucked, and for that, you guys win the day. Thanks.

Socket left under hood

Usually pretty happy with the service at this location. But this last time I went, I was told my battery was bad (just replaced the battery 45 mins before with a new one), my alternator is going out, and my break fluid was low. None of which are true. Went to double check their work and found this lovely socket, smashed down by my hood. Lucky that didn't fall and do actual damage. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. Sad that service has gone downhill.

Engine harness wires damaged by Valvoline negligent service technician.

On 16 March I took my vehicle to Valvoline located at 651 N US 183, Leander, TX 78641 to have my oil changed. The mechanic that worked on my car was horse playing with the person underneath my car while servicing my vehicle. After the mechanic finished the work, my car would not start; the reason it would not start, is the mechanic tightened the oil filter to my engine wire harness (see attached pictures) and severed wires that would not allow my vehicle to start. The on-site manager immediately tried to blame my car not staring on my battery and bad alternator. Until he finally check his mechanic's work and realized their error. This negligent mistake caused by Valvoline has created a huge inconvenience leaving me without a vehicle for 6 days; additionally, no one from their management team (store or region) contacted me to apologize or offer any assistance. In fact, I had to contact their corporate office to ask, if someone will contact me regarding my vehicle. Unfortunately, the first and only time I heard from Valvoline's management team following their mishap, was them telling me they refuse to replace the damaged part for my vehicle. I voice my disagreement with their decision. The store manager told me the only option I have to elevate and overturn his decision was to take them to court. Wow!!! Really!!! The only reason I gave this particular store one star is because, I couldn't give them a negative five stars. This particular location is the worst representation of Valvoline's customer care and accountability. I would advise anyone about to have their car serviced at this location, reconsider or choose a different service provider.

The 2 dots are empty and full.

This place overfilled my engine oil, completely destroying my engine then denied doing it even after 2 dealerships confirmed it was overfilled. Luckily a dealership was able to get the warranty though to replace the engine but I'm still without a vehicle for 2 months and out the cost of paying for towing and the first inspection. You've been warned.

But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Thanks Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers in Leander. My truck drives straight and the AC works like new. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

AEW Automotive Service and Repair - Leaking all fluid out of washer tank

They determined that a rodent had eaten part of the hose! So they replaced the hose to the front washer and told me they didn't know where to route the hose to the back window washer. Kurt said it was working fine on the front window now, and I told him the back window could wait. When I got home, I popped the hood and noticed there was no washer fluid in the reservoir, so I poured the gallon of new fluid in. I went into the house to tell my wife I was home, and then came back out about 10 minutes later to discover almost all the new fluid was running out into my garage and down the driveway. I called Kurt and he said he couldn't understand how that was happening, but he would "get back with me" to arrange for an inspection. Move ahead 6 MONTHS LATER, still no call back from A&E. I try to email them through the web site they list on Yelp, and it says the web site no longer exists! I try to email him, and the email bounces back. So I place a request for service here on YELP again, and 3 or 4 other places answer, but not A&E. So my only thought is that they sold the place and it's under new management? I don't know, but they did NOT fix the problem, they never contacted me again as promised, and the did not respond to the request sent to them through YELP. I ended up fixing the problem myself for $8.00. The second line, that he did not fix and that he told me "would not matter if I don't want to use the rear window washer" had a big hole it as well. When I filled up the reservoir, the weight of the fluid in the full tank caused the water to start syphoning out through that hole in the tube - once it was low enough (i.e. almost empty), it would stop and there would be enough fluid left to wash the front windows several times. They were all very friendly the first time I visited and I thought we had a good working relationship, but it turns out they didn't want to fool with the car although they really did NOT fix my problem and I was never able to contact them again. I don't know what their problem is, but I cannot recommend them as a reliable automobile service.

They said it would be done within 2 hours. They had ordered the wrong parts 4 different times, it wasn't the right part but told me they were almost done. It wasn't only in the end they said they got the parts wrong 4th time. I was there for hours. I left and realized the grinding sound was still there. Went back on another day , they said it's not the breaks , it's your front wheel bearings. They also said because of that I needed to buy new tires. Again I explained I had to get back to my job , they said they'd shuttle me and pick me back up, with a promise my car would be done before 5 pm so I count get my bosses prescription and be able to go home. They asked 3 times to keep it until the next day and I said I could not. I had to get her meds and it's my only way home. I work on an isolated ranch far from anyone, no WiFi . It's now 5:15 I call to ask if the shuttle is coming for me. He said oh yes, he's on his way. I walk 30 minutes towards the highway so he can reach me , it's growing dark, I'm carrying all my belongings on a dirt road surrounded by woods. They call back as I reach 183 and tell me they just broke the bearing on my car and can't get another until tomorrow. I Asked them how?? if my car was ready at 5 how are you just breaking the bearing ? No response. I said I am alone on a dirt road , you have my car and House keys, I still need to be picked up. I can't get home. He said , sorry , we'll get it Back to you tomorrow. I said again, I'm stranded on a dirt road 30 mile from home , I have no one to call , you have my house key and I have dogs at home , you can't just leave me here !!! They did. They left me in the middle of nowhere with no way home or even to get into my house or help my dogs. No regard for my safety or well being. The next afternoon , they called me to say it was ready. I did not display any anger or grief , I jut picked it up , drove back to finish my Work and with tears in my eyes from the night before and the money I spent that I don't have to Spare , I heard the grinding noise coming from my car again. They hadn't even fixed it. This was the most horrible experience I've ever had with a car repair place. They didn't explain or apologize or acknowledge any wrongdoing. Do yourself a kindness and go anywhere but here. I still have the grinding noise that's now becoming a tremor. I can't afford anymore repairs and I'm scared driving my car. I hope this helps someone else.
