Long story short, I was having issues with the fuel filter, which left me unable to use the vehicle I rely on for work. I live in the High Desert, but I'm currently staying with family down here while working out in Palm Springs, so the situation definitely put me in a bind. I had to wait for the original location in Bear Road to open so I could explain what happened. They took the time to hear me out and contacted this location to help get everything taken care of. At the end of the day, there's no one I'm here to blame. I appreciate BOTH locations for stepping up, communicating with each other, and making sure I was taken care of. When you have a manager who takes the time to make you a priority and actually helps make things right, THAT is management. Shit happens. Things don't always go as planned, and I understand that. I'm not upset at all. If anything, I'm happy with how everything was handled and grateful that both teams worked together to resolve the situation. Was working two gentleman at this location (Jorge, and another guy, didn't get his name but had a…read moresofter tone of voice) this past Saturday (05.09). Only ding I'll give is that no one was available at the front counter for about 5 minutes, even though I was trying to check in for my appointment at 10am. However, once we did get down to business (was coming in for a free pre-trip inspection, along with replacement of wiper blades, and a set of snow socks to travel through Colorado compliantly), everything was professional and thorough. About 30-45 minutes after service began, the soft spoken gentleman came back to discuss the alignment of the wheels; apparently majority of them were approaching the recommended thresholds and is thus recommended to realign them to maximize fuel efficiency, especially for a 1800 mile one way trip. This cost about $160; snow socks were about $120. Towards the end of the visit, Jorge courteously went to discuss snow chain options (between the traditional chains and the snow socks), and we chose the snow socks (good to have, good to put on for last resort, and easy to return for full refund). All in all, the visit totaled about 1.5 hours, but I felt the value both in time and money was well spent, as I left with the peace of mind that the wheels are better prepared for the long journey ahead. I should note that the fuel efficiency after the visit was lower than expected; however after doing additional research, I found this to be because of the new all-season tires I got the month prior; apparently the new treads ironically drag the vehicle more, thus creating that deficiency. As the tires wear down, fuel efficiency will level out. A bummer, but good to know all the while. Thanks guys!

AutoZone was no help and gave me the wrong information. Crown Toyota wanted me to leave my car for 3-5 days just to run a diagnostic--and charge me $210 for it. Jorge? 20 minutes. He found the problem AND the solution. Turns out it was my battery, even though AutoZone was adamant the battery was good. The best part? When I asked Jorge how much I owed him, his response was priceless: "Have a nice day." That tells you everything you need to know about the kind of person and business you're dealing with.
