The donation area is on the south side and just to the right of the entrance. When dropping off items, the staff will ask if you want a 20% off coupon. The store is large with two main sections. Housewares, furniture, electronics, books, vinyl records, and CDs at the front. Then there is children's, men's, and women's clothing. Even further into the store, there is more women's clothing. Prices are very reasonable, and the items are generally in good condition. At the Kennedy store, the electronic section has power bars to test if the electronic items work. I didn't see it at this location. Glass display cases near the front have designer brand items like purses and high-heeled shoes.

I recently visited The Salvation Army Thrift Store at 1921 Eglinton Ave E (Unit 7) in Scarborough,…read moreand I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and organization of the store. The layout is easy to navigate, with clearly marked sections for clothing, housewares, books, and electronics. Inventory changes frequently, so it's worth checking back often. Ms. Zeta were courteous and helpful, though service can vary depending who is attending you at the store. Prices are generally fair, especially for clothing and small household items, though some customers might find certain items a bit overpriced compared to other thrift stores. I appreciated Zeta when I asked for a discount and she gave me a coupon that had a 20% discount for first time buyer. I was happy and appreciated her for this and it made my decision so much easier. Overall, Zeta should be recognized for her great customer service and for managing the sale appropriately making my decision to buy the two items easier with the discount. Robert N. PLEASE - if you change your mind, bring it to the staff at the front. They'd much rather have it in their cart to put back than finding it all over the store. To the review - this donation center is great. The staff is always so helpful and cheerful. I like dropping off items here when I need to get rid of well conditioned items. Shopping here is a hit or miss, as always with thrifting. I do find that I am more likely to find something I like here than at other locations. I think it's because I find this store a bit more spacious, so I'm more willing to spend time looking through the aisles here. The pricing here leaves me kinda iffy about wanting to shop here sometimes. They keep bringing up prices so sometimes, things aren't even a good deal anymore. It's suppose to be for non-for-profit and environmentally friendly to thrift. But here, I've definitely found over priced items, broken items still being sold, and items priced higher than the original price tags attached. Be patient, spend some time... anytime you're thrifting, you need to be willing to spend time combing through each item if you want a chance to find something great.

In the aisles, the items were organized based on what they were while the at the ends of the aisles (the side near the clothing) were organized by colour. The prices seemed to be lower than the couple of thrift stores I have been to. They don't calculate taxes on what you are getting so if you spend $5, you will pay $5 which was a shock to me (in a good way). I will probably here many more time in the future. I would totally recommend coming here.

*Rating only for the Donation Centre*…read more The Donation Centre at this Goodwill location is great! This plaza gets pretty busy and parking seemed to be packed but if you're looking for the Donation Centre, it is located on the right side, where there is additional parking. There is also a curbside area with signage directing you to pull up to for drop-offs, there's no need to park. At a glance, the Donation Centre looks to be very clean and organized. There is a large door open on the side of the building for donation drop-offs. We were told to leave our donations in the doorway, and the staff will later retrieve and sort through them. They operate with contactless donations - how convenient! Goodwill works with organizations that provide assistance to those with barriers seeking employment and upgrading their skills. What doesn't get sold in their stores, gets rotated to other locations, to Goodwill outlets, then sent to textile factories to be upcycled and repurposed. If you're looking to donate your items, please support non-profit places like Goodwill, rather than for-profit businesses in the area like Value Village and Talize.

It's easy to miss this Salvation Army Thrift Store, as it's tucked away in the corner of a small…read moreplaza off Queen. But despite its small frontage, it has ample room inside housing a decent selection of used clothes and other thrift store miscellany. The weird thing about this location is that they sell "brand new" mattresses (it's even advertised outside). At first I was suspicious; but sure enough, inside at the back were a number of mattresses of various sizes, looking fresh and sealed up in plastic. The prices (couple hundred bucks apiece) helped confirm that these weren't dodgy, "refurbished" mattresses. But I'm at a loss why anyone would come here for new mattresses if they're the same as at some regular store.

The stench of mildew and mothballs is so strong I can barely spend a few minutes inside. Judging by how busy it always seems to be, there are plenty who just don't care. But if you value your health, seriously, go somewhere else. I think the air in here actually takes days off your life for every minute you spend within! Aside from the abundance of rank clothing, it also offers the usual dingy toys, early to mid 90s video games, old (likely non/mal-functioning) electronics, and the occasional bit of furniture. They also have lots of books. Really, it's like most Salvation Army Thrift Stores only thrice the stink. Finally, the staff seems mostly surly. Just no redeeming qualities to the place whatsoever...
