Parking is always a nightmare here. Not sure why but cars are always parked on or across the lines…read more I don't fault value village for that of course but just wanna let you know the reality of visiting this location. The selections are just like any value village. It's random and you never know what you'll find. The reason I'm giving such a low score is because the service. I had staff walk into me, reach across me to stock shelves, etc during covid. Nevermind that, I found items not tagged that I wanted to buy. Lined up a while to pay because despite having a massive line up, they only open two cash and the other staff are wandering around the store. We get there and then she tells us we can't pay cause she can't price it. Frustrated would be an understatement. If you can't feely untagged items, why are there so many on your floor? There's like 2-3 staff constantly circling the sections checking the items and putting things back. Waste of time... And I've been here a few times now. Never a great experience considering your expectations for value village shouldn't be all that high to start.

They only take donations at the back of the store in the parking lot area. No more drop-off bins just near the store entrances anymore. They have a series of marked off parking spots in the green colour where you can park and then place your items into the big bins on wheels. You could alternatively roll a bin yourself over to your car to unload if the line is long. To practice good physical distancing, staff aren't allowed to help you unload the items in your car which makes sense so bring some muscle if you got some heavy items.

I've dropped items off at this store a few times, but I've never actually gone inside until now…read more There's a shopping cart to drop off donated items as soon as you enter the store on the right or you can unload larger items at the back of the store. Then it's a wide, open space with racks upon racks of women's clothing. There's definitely a lot to go through, but I'm sure you'll find something for you. I saw a black, sequined BCBG Max Azria dress for only $19.99! I wasn't sure if it would fit, and I didn't see any fitting rooms. There's an electronics section with older electronics like VCRs, DVD players, boomboxes, CD players, stereos with cassette tapes, keyboards, speakers, countertop cookware, fans, printers, etc. There's even a power bar for you to test the electronics before making a purchase. Up the stairs, or the ramp, there's men's clothing, sports equipment (like baseball bats and skis), lots of books, vinyl records, furniture, mattresses (that I think are new and were donated to the store), housewares (drinking glasses, vases, bowls, and much, much more), and even artwork. By the cashiers, there are items in locked display cases. I saw jewellery, old telephones, and even a Nintendo Entertainment System. I didn't see any controllers to go with it, though. There's a seniors' discount for 10% off, and if you've donated items, you can get a 20% off coupon.

But despite its small frontage, it has ample room inside housing a decent selection of used clothes and other thrift store miscellany. The weird thing about this location is that they sell "brand new" mattresses (it's even advertised outside). At first I was suspicious; but sure enough, inside at the back were a number of mattresses of various sizes, looking fresh and sealed up in plastic. The prices (couple hundred bucks apiece) helped confirm that these weren't dodgy, "refurbished" mattresses. But I'm at a loss why anyone would come here for new mattresses if they're the same as at some regular store.

The stench of mildew and mothballs is so strong I can barely spend a few minutes inside. Judging by how busy it always seems to be, there are plenty who just don't care. But if you value your health, seriously, go somewhere else. I think the air in here actually takes days off your life for every minute you spend within! Aside from the abundance of rank clothing, it also offers the usual dingy toys, early to mid 90s video games, old (likely non/mal-functioning) electronics, and the occasional bit of furniture. They also have lots of books. Really, it's like most Salvation Army Thrift Stores only thrice the stink. Finally, the staff seems mostly surly. Just no redeeming qualities to the place whatsoever... Avoid!
