If you don't use this Vet you are not doing the best for your pet!…read more I have two beagles who come with many potential problems... as a frequent traveler I have used many vets over time... and many don't understand the breed issues and cannot provide care. NOT HERE! These outstanding vets listened, reviewed all the paperwork, did their homework on the issue and PROMPTLY treated it to the relief of the dogs pain! Things were going great to the weather change and more meds were needed.... a quick call and short drive later my best friend is getting relief from a vet on his day off! Outstanding and personal service! Great place and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Monroe Town and Country Veterinary Hospital is the best in the area…read more My dog had been sick and I was in search of a good veterinarian. I visited a few other vet hospitals in the monroe area who were not willing to talk to me about my dog because they were rude and because of the pathetic and overzealous COVID restrictions. I then went to a pet store in Trumbull and the worker recommended that I go to the Monroe Town and Country Veterinary Hospital on Route 25. I went there next and met Dr. David Basak-Smith who was kind, intelligent, and understanding. He gave me an appointment as soon as possible to examine my dog and found that he was suffering from Lyme disease. Excellent find! After this we treated my dog with medication and he is back to normal! This is the best veterinary hospital in the area. Dr. Basak-Smith is also a military veteran and he should get your business first anyways. This place is highly suggested by me and you should tell your friends too.

I've been coming to this vet for about five years now and always make the recommendation to friends…read morewhen asked about where to take their pets. Overall the entire vet staff (doctors) are amazing. They are extremely passionate about what they do and will be honest and work with you based on your situation to find the best solution for your furry friend. This is the main reason why I come back and drive about 30 minutes out of the way to take all my four pups here. This is a hard thing to find in the vet industry as most office feel like sterile operations. On the flip side I will say my only con is I have had my issues with the front desk such as booking appointments, being on hold for long periods, not being able to get in during an emergency over the years, but since I was here last it appears there's a new staff at the desk in place and this has since been corrected by the practice. As this issue has gotten way better. Definitely don't let it steer you away from coming here but just make sure to document your booked appointments. And I'll also mention that my issue of booking during an emergency was addressed by the doctor, who told me to ask for them directly if anything like that happens again. Regarding price they are extremely reasonable. Take your pup here you won't regret it! :)

Her professionalism, bedside manner and competence are beyond anything I have ever seen. Rocky is so afraid of going to the vet clinic, I literally had to pull him with all my strength. Since we've been having Dr Acosta do house calls, we are so relieved. She is fast, punctual, caring, and on top of it. We are thrilled to have found Dr Acosta and her prices are even better than what we were paying at Rocky's former clinic. Dr Acosta's way with animals and her caring demeanor is wonderful. Our dog warmed up to her right away even though he is afraid of everything and everyone. We've referred several other pet-owners to her and they have all been blown away by her expertise and ease around animals. No more sitting in waiting rooms while your pet is struggling to escape the smell of urine and disinfectants. She has now diagnosed several illnesses and even removed a fatty lipoma. We trust her 100% with our beloved Rocky. She truly cares about our pet - never felt that she didn't have time to answer our questions or address our concerns.
