I then went to a pet store in Trumbull and the worker recommended that I go to the Monroe Town and Country Veterinary Hospital on Route 25. I went there next and met Dr. David Basak-Smith who was kind, intelligent, and understanding. He gave me an appointment as soon as possible to examine my dog and found that he was suffering from Lyme disease. Excellent find! After this we treated my dog with medication and he is back to normal! This is the best veterinary hospital in the area. Dr. Basak-Smith is also a military veteran and he should get your business first anyways. This place is highly suggested by me and you should tell your friends too.

When we moved to Easton, during a repair in the house our dog run out and got attacked by a bypassing dog. She was bleeding. I called our regular vet and they said they can't see us that they and tried to schedule for another day. I googled the closest vet to me and rushed there, walked into their very busy schedule. They didn't know us or our dog yet. They took immediate care. I will never forget. Only a vet who loves and cares for animals try would do that. I am so thankful. He also has a brick and mortar clinic, I believe, that he uses as necessary, but for all intents and purposes, he really brings the vet to your pet. Well, I've never brought my dog to any vet other than Dr. Lawendy. He is amazing, and my dog loves him and all of his staff. I never would have guessed that I would end up with a vet who comes to me and my dog, but this is the way of the future, and I love it.

We explained our rabbit was in GI stasis: not eating, not drinking, showing clear symptoms. He brushed it off and said her vitals were "fine." (Rabbits can be dying and still show stable vitals -- any rabbit-savvy vet would know that.) Instead of helping, he handed over some medication with no guidance, no urgency, and zero compassion. We were sent home without instructions for syringe feeding, hydration, or anything that could've saved her life. Our rabbit died because of this clinic's inexperience and lack of care. This was not a minor oversight -- it was fatal neglect. If you value your rabbit's life, do not stop here. Go somewhere that actually understands rabbit emergencies and takes action. I'll carry the weight of this mistake for a long time. I'm sharing this so maybe you won't have to.
