The management encourages all of the renters to key in their code when coming in our going out. Due to the redneck culture in Yakima many of the pickup-truck types blast on through rudely. That is not the fault of this storage facility. Every facility has some customers that use their rights to the premises to attempt break-ins of other units, but Yakima Secure Storage acts quickly on these problems as they have security cameras everywhere. The husband-and-wife team lives on the premises and they are always out and about keeping an eye on things. Also, the insurance they sell you for your belongings has a zero-deductible policy. That means if someone is actually able to break your lock, your loss will be reimbursed with no deductions. I moved from a larger to a smaller unit and the husband of this management team got out his cart and trailer and did all of the moving transportation for me. They offer automatic monthly billing from our checking accounts. The management and their policies are great. I wish the other residents and their manners were equally great, and I wish the neighborhood was a little higher class to drive through. However, at the risk of looking like someone influenced an excellent review out of me, I will have to give them five stars because I have had burglaries at other storage places I have rented from. Not here!

We were there on a Saturday, when the office was closed, and were struggling with our code. She noticed and came out to see what the problem was. She could see that we had the correct code (but had forgotten the # and *), so she went inside and wrote everything down for us and brought it back out. I had a small unit at the 48th Ave location a few years ago and currently have a larger unit at the 58th Ave location. First of all, a person answers the phone when you call or if you leave a VM your call gets returned very soon. Each location has an office so someone will meet you where you wish to rent a unit so you can see it before committing. They are very professional in that you fill out paperwork, have insurance to cover any losses and have security cameras covering the whole area. They supply the lock ($10 charge), which is placed in an area impossible to reach with bolt cutters. The units I've rented have been very clean. Some units have lighting and some don't so it's good to ask about that if it's important to you. Angie and Bo are very pleasant and helpful with any inquiries. The security is top notch.
