Hassan who at first I thought was shady (LOL) proved me wrong got me and my daughter 2 brand new cars and is a man of his word. (hard to find in this business). On May 2, 2026, my car was vandalized. The left passenger window was broken, and the driver-side door lock was damaged. Before bringing my vehicle in, I called Value Kia on 6915 Essington Avenue and spoke with Mike in the service department. I explained the situation, and he told me it was okay to bring the vehicle in for repairs. From that point on, the experience was nothing short of frustrating, stressful, and unprofessional. I constantly had to call the dealership myself just to get updates on my vehicle. Every time I called, I was given a different excuse. First, I was told that the locksmith they normally use had cancer and was unable to do the repair, so they needed to find someone else. A week later, after I called again, I was given the same excuse. Then Mike called and told me I could either continue waiting or use two separate keys -- one to open the car and another to start it. That solution was completely unreasonable. After more follow-up calls from me, Mike stated they had found someone to fix the lock but were waiting for him to inspect the vehicle. Later, I was told the locksmith had come, ordered the part, and would return. Again, I heard nothing back and had to call myself. At that point, Mike claimed the locksmith never returned to complete the repair. Throughout this entire process, there was no communication unless I initiated it. Mike repeatedly said he would call me back, but he never did. I was constantly chasing updates while my vehicle sat untouched. On Friday, May 22, 2026, after nearly four weeks of excuses and no progress, I finally told them I was coming to pick up my car. When my mother and I arrived at the dealership, we discovered that absolutely nothing had been done. The broken window was still covered with the plastic I personally put on it after the vandalism, and the damaged lock had not been repaired either. My vehicle had simply been sitting in the back of the dealership the entire time. I suffered a heart attack on November 3, 2025, and I was trying hard not to become overly stressed or upset because I know how dangerous that could be for my health. When we arrived and immediately started hearing more excuses and dishonesty, I chose to step away and sit down while my mother addressed the staff. However, the lack of accountability and constant excuses escalated the situation. My mother became extremely upset, and eventually I had to get involved myself. What made the situation even worse was the audacity of the staff trying to blame us because we did not want to use two separate keys. That is not a solution to the actual problem. Then we were informed there would be a $160 diagnostic charge. What exactly was diagnosed? The issues were visible damage: a broken window and a damaged door lock. Both repairs required outside vendors, yet after four weeks, nothing had been repaired. Charging a diagnostic fee for work that was never completed and barely even addressed is unacceptable, and I fully intend to dispute that charge. Service Manager Deon attempted to calm the situation, and I can acknowledge that he tried, but it did not change the reality of what happened. For four weeks, my vehicle sat untouched while I continued making car payments and paying insurance on a vehicle I could not properly use. I had previously filed a complaint against this dealership, and honestly, this experience felt retaliatory. My mother and I later learned we could have contacted the warranty company directly regarding coverage for the damages, but by then we were already exhausted from dealing with the dishonesty and lack of professionalism in the service department. To make matters worse, Joe then threatened to ban us from Value Kia, as if that was somehow a punishment. After this experience, I would never willingly return there anyway. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. The service department displayed poor communication, lack of accountability, dishonesty, and complete unprofessionalism. I no longer trust Value Kia and would never recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I inquired about a new vehicle that was listed on Value Kia's lot. Joe, their Internet Sales Manager, reached out but would not provide transparent pricing over the phone or in writing. He repeatedly stated that all negotiating had to happen on the showroom floor. Since this dealership was not local to me, I contacted several other Kia dealerships, including West Chester Kia, Scott Kia, Cherry Hill Kia, Turnersville Kia, and RK Kia. I was able to receive comparable quotes from those dealerships without issue. During my follow-up conversations with Joe, he also spoke negatively about other dealerships, which I found unprofessional. Joe continued to follow up by text with repetitive questions. I eventually found the vehicle I wanted at another Kia dealership and let Joe know that I was no longer in the market. Despite that, it has been over two weeks and I am still receiving calls and texts from Value Kia from other salespeople asking if I am still looking for a new Kia. Most recently, Patrick O. called to follow up and ask if I was still in the market. When I answered the call and explained that I had already purchased a vehicle elsewhere, he abruptly hung up on me without even acknowledging the update or ending the call professionally. Avoid Value Kia on Essington Ave - they are shady! The prices they advertise are NOT the prices they charge. They add $5575 to their advertised prices by strong-arming customers to purchase a warranty that they claim is non-negotiable This is ILLEGAL according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and I have filed a complaint there. I was able to get this bogus fee removed by showing the sales rep the FTC research. When I returned to finalize the sale, they would not honor that deal. They also advertised a $500 discount of all new and certified pre-owned vehicles but refused to honor that as well. This place is so sleazy, you actually feel dirty when you leave. When I purchased my 2018 Kia, they made me wait 3 hours to complete the sale. Only when I was walking out the door did they finalize the deal. I took it in because the engine would shut unexpectedly. The car was in the service bay for 10 minutes until the service manager told me the engine was going and needed replacement. Right behind him was a sales rep wanting to sell me a car. I left and took it to a friend's mechanic. He replaced the cam shaft sensor and the car ran great. The car only had 50,100 Miles on it. I will never recommend going there read more

If I could give a 0 I would. Be very careful with this dealership. We went to look at a car for about $10k which we were okay with. We sat there for 2.5 hours. It took them 40 minutes to do the initial paperwork. Then they brought the wrong car up to me. It took 45 mins to get the right car. The lady who was a manager was a complete bitch. When they brought up the car I was looking at the car was gross. Nothing was cleaned out there were still ashes from someone smoking in it. Then after the test drive they were going to crunch the numbers. That took about another 45 mins to an hour. The manager went to everyone else till I had to say something because after 2.5 hours or more we were done. The manager kept telling us to be patient since it was busy. My husband works at nights and had to get some sleep and I told them that in the beginning and they just dragged their feet. Then the manager said taxes and tags were going to be another $6000. The whole place is a nightmare. Treated very rude. Told to come back when an appointment is made. I'm disappointed with my recent service experience at Value Kia. In late April, my 2014 Kia Forte's engine failed while driving on I-95. Value Kia replaced the engine under Kia's goodwill program, which I appreciated. This replacement wasn't a one-off favor -- it was part of a broader goodwill initiative from Kia addressing known engine defects in many affected models. During the repair process, I was also told the alternator was sparking and needed replacement -- I agreed and paid out of pocket. A few weeks later in early June, I turned on my AC for the first time since the repair and noticed it was barely blowing, and only warm air. It had been working fine prior to the engine failure and repair, and in the ~250 miles I'd driven since, nothing else had changed. I contacted the service department and asked if they'd look into it, and if the AC failure was related to the recent work, I hoped it would be resolved without additional cost. Instead, I was asked for a $400 deposit just for them to look. Their diagnosis: a leak in the AC condenser and hose. I asked if this could've resulted from the engine work (given the proximity), but was told it was unlikely. They cited the age of the car and claimed the leak showed signs of being "old" due to visible oil. I was quoted $1,700 to repair it, which included $1,000 in labor. I also later learned that the AC system wasn't tested or confirmed to be working before the car was returned to me, which I believe should be standard practice after an engine replacement. Without that confirmation, there's no way to verify whether the issue existed before the repair or was introduced during the process. I challenged their conclusions -- especially since the AC worked before and failed immediately afterward -- but they wouldn't accept that the engine repair might have disturbed the AC components. I ultimately agreed to the repair because summer was starting and I didn't want to drive without AC. I later found multiple stories from other Kia and Hyundai owners whose AC systems failed shortly after engine replacements performed by dealerships. While there's no definitive proof in my case, the timing -- along with these patterns -- makes me question whether more care could've been taken or at least more transparency offered. I wish I had consulted an independent mechanic before returning the car for this issue. I'm hopeful this will be my last visit to a Kia dealership, and my next vehicle likely won't be a Kia. UPDATE: The owner responded offering a 20% discount on the AC work. The work was already completed so I called in asking if 20% of what I was charged could be refunded but was told that it would be 20% off the NEXT service - as if I would ever willingly bring my car back here after the experience I had. read more

Horrible, went for an oil change ended up with an oil leak which they charged me twice for it, claimed it was another part of the car leaking oil (Not even a week later) Was charged twice within two month for a diagnostic test In 2025. But was also charged twice for a diagnostic test in 2023, days apart. They also claimed a squirrel chewed up wires in the vehicle. 2014 Sedona - The rear passenger sliding door suddenly stopped engaging in the lock position even though the door's motor was still operating. This caused the door to slide open when making turns or hitting a bump as I drove home. The dashboard warning light remained causing the alarm sound. i contacted one KIA dealership I've used before who told me they wouldn't be able to see me until the following week (even after I explained I needed my car to drive my grandkids home from school). I called up Value and spoke to Malieck. He immediately told me to bring it in whenever I could saying I didn't need to wait for an appointment, adding, "You can't be driving your car like that," He was so polite and reassuring. I brought it in the next morning and they figured out what needed to be replaced. The part was ordered and they were able to secure the door until the part arrived. Best part, they found my car was still under warranty so it didn't cost me anything monetary. Went to this dealership after emailing back and forth about a SUV I wanted to purchase. I was told that the price listed online is accurate. I get there, and a MSRP for $37,000 turned into $55,000????? They promoted $6500 for a trade in and up to $6700 in rebates, and I was told that the $55,000 price included both of those. When I told them to beat it, they said that all dealerships are marking up prices and I wouldn't get a SUV for less than than what they offered. I left and went 2 blocks down to Pacifico Hyundai and purchased a SUV from them at the actual price listed online.....they didn't try and price gauge me like Kia. That evening we got to the place and looked at the car and test drove it asking about the promotion they had which was still confirmed. This place is terrible and avoid like the plague. To potential visitors - would you buy a car from a car dealership that has signs posted on its windows - dogs on premises? Would you buy a car from a dealership that has posted pictures of people not allowed onto its premises? Value Kia gives a deservedly bad reputation to car dealers/sales people and Value Kia causes one to question the American educational system. All the negative reviews on this website are absolutely correct. You would think people are being unduly negative, but Value Kia deserves these reviews. Please read about my experience. Here was my experience at Value Kia: 1. I entered the dealership and there were only two models on the floor. There is space for more models but the dealership has chosen to utilize its floor space to display tables and chairs. Despite the many tables and chairs there were no salesmen available. The Sales Manager (Shonadera) asked me to be patient. After 30m, I had to ask her if she was going to send a sales person to talk to me. In the interim, some other person asked to make a photocopy of my drivers license. 2. By the time a Salesperson did visit me (15m later - 45m in total), we went to examine the car that i was interested in. When I asked for a test drive; he told me that I needed to make an appointment. Ask yourself this: If you need to make an appointment to test drive a car, then why is someone asking to photocopy your license. 3. I then told the salesperson; I do not want a test drive. I then asked for a quote on the car. The salesperson went to Shonadera (Sales Manager). The salesperson returned with a Credit Application. I said I want the price of the car. He said: "I do not have a price, but I want you to fill out this Credit Application." Let me ask the reader here, is that intelligent/intelligence. Or is that stupidity? After wasting an hour in total at Value Kia, I walked out and left. This is one of the few remaining dealerships that still give the car business a bad name. They exploit working class and working poor minorities, their lack of knowledge of financing, and their poor credit into a "we're your only chance" scenario. They play any number of games, including, but not limited to: -Keeping you waiting up to 8 hours, while they're "waiting for a decision from the banks," so by the time the "decision" comes, you're so tired and hungry that you accept whatever number they throw at you because you just want to get out of there. -Blaring loud hip-hop music in the showroom so there's culpable deniability when you come back and try to say "My salesman promised me......" -Promising an outrageous number for a trade in, while grossly inflating the price of their car well above market value. -Bating and switching customers with low internet prices and vehicles that are no longer on the lot. The guy who owns this place has been sued and fined by the PA Attorney General's Office multiple times for his tactics. He lost a dealership in Coatesville, PA and Lawnside, NJ. I have been treated very poorly by the service center at Value Kia. My vehicle was stolen 12/1/22, recovered, & brought to this service center 12/20/22 for repairs. Before the vehicle was towed to this location, Geico advised us to contact the Kia service centers in the area to make sure repairs could be completed in a timely manner. All of the other centers informed me they were backed up 3-4 months, but Value Kia told me they could have my vehicle repaired sooner than this, so we proceeded with having my vehicle brought in. The gentlemen I spoke with also let me know that they do not accept vehicle's without the keys. Now I was visiting Philly when my vehicle was stolen, and since some time had passed I returned home to MD. Due to this I had to mail the keys up to Philadelphia, so they can be dropped off along with my car. Every time I followed up, I was either told all of the parts were in, and my car would be repaired by the end of the week, or that someone entered the parts in wrong, and they actually hadn't received them. Finally after weeks of this, Joe offered to go "another repair route" to speed this up, but because it would cost more, he needed to send an updated repair estimate to my insurance company. Once again, every time I called (once a week, or once every other week), I was told the same thing, until they decided to stop taking my calls (leaving me on hold, & hanging up). FINALLY after 5 weeks, I spoke with the service manager Mike, and he FINALLY sent over the repair estimate, even though I was told this would be done weeks ago. They failed to do their due diligence for weeks, and pushed my repairs out 5 weeks because of their negligence; while I'm paying $300 weekly for a rental car. Then shortly afterwards, the service manager calls me back to let me know they actually can't go this other repair route, because they never received my keys. So my car has been sitting there since December with no keys, even though I was told they did not accept vehicles without the keys. The service manager told me that was a lie, they accept vehicles all the time without keys. Then one of the general managers I spoke with stated, they don't accept vehicles without the keys usually, but because my vehicle was "dropped off after hours, the sales reps did not know that". Well now, I am working with the tow company to find out what happened to my keys 3 months ago. The tow company also let me know that they attempted to drop my vehicle off on 12/19, but because it was after hours, the tow had to be rescheduled for 12/20 at 8am, so the manager at Kia was also not truthful in the explanation they provided in regards to my vehicle being accepted without the keys. The service manager could care less, they offered to have a locksmith make a basic key that I could stick in the door to unlock it, and start my car, when I had actual keys with remotes. Why would I take something less than what I provided? He then became very rude, and said well then I could pay for my own key. He then refused to provide me any compensation for the inconvenience their center directly caused by not doing what they said for 5 weeks, or letting me know months ago they did not get my keys from the tow company. He told me he was "not eating the cost for anything". I then spoke with two separate general managers who let me know they would find out what was going on, and contact me back. I have not received one call back from them, instead they keep having their sells reps call me so I can come in and buy another car "instead of having to keep waiting, because it's going to be months before the parts come in". After this treatment, the absolute nerve of them to even think for a second, I would come in there and give them anymore business. This entire situation has been a nightmare, and all parties (Kia corporate, Value Kia, and United Tow & Recovery) will be held accountable! read more

Visiting this dealership is akin to a mugging! They refuse to honor internet pricing and their trade in deal is basically a bait/switch. They offer you $4500 above trade value but only after adding close to $8000 to the value of car. I 'ordered' my car online and was provided a price of $18,420 with a high credit score rate of 0.0% but when I got there I was told there was a dealer charge of $7,853 and the interest rate was 6.9%!!!! Still charges $99 (!!) diagnosis fee. Service report states car needs $2500+ worth of work. Luckily, I got a second opinion. After market shop fixes car for $200 worth of parts plus labor. Kia "stands by" original diagnosis, refuses to refund $99 fee. Value Kia Service Bay is good for nothing except warranty work...but perhaps you should find a different Kia shop. read more

They insisted on playing the game from 1980s going back and forth. I needed to test drive the car, and the dealership was close to my office, but left after 20 min. talking to 3 different idiots. I bought 2012 Jeep Patriot with approximately 22,000 miles on 15 April 2017 from Value Kia, the next day was a Easter Sunday on my way to church the manufacturer safety airbag light came on after church I started evaluating the vehicle and what I saw omg is the nicest way I can think of right now. That Monday morning I returned to value Kia, trying to return the vehicle because of what I noticed with my eyes, I asked the sales lady that sold me the vehicle was this car ever in some type of flood or water damage she told me no, I then asked one of the other salesmen Ellis if I could  get a Carfax regarding the vehicle he told me no because Value Kia does not do Carfax because people are suing them, after complaining about the manufacturer safety airbag light, the brakes and that the vehicle wasn't safe or running properly they told me to bring the car in Friday, because i had to work and they weren't/didn't provide a loaner car. After that for weeks I returned with the same complaints that the vehicle was unsafe. Fast forward,  20 May 2017 the belt popped and by the grace of God, and my safety training I wasn't injury. I again took the vehicle back to Value kia stated the same complaints, but now we are added the popped belt I immediately returned all the paper work and vehicle, but i didn't have any way to get to work or home because they weren't/didn't give me a loaner car, so they only give me the key back, so from 20 may to 03 june 2017 I didn't have any paperwork to or regarding the vehicle. 03 june 2017 I took the vehicle to jiffy lube because the vehicle needed brakes after paying 277.03, just to find out that the passenger rear tire hub was the wrong hub and could have killed me.  05 June 2017 I called out from work because i didn't have any transportation, 04 june 2017 I had to walk home from walk.
