He told me all I needed to know about the tool I was renting and even some extra pointers along with being able to clearly explain their rental agreement and pricing. . He didn't mumble in speech, he gave me eye contact, he shook my hand. When I know I'm gonna receive good customer service, I don't mind driving a little further or paying a little more. Ryan provides that type of service.

What do you mean, you're already hard? Where? I had to fix my porch door, and this place were extremely helpful! Not the cheapest prices in the world, but then nothing is these days. They were reasonably and friendly and I don't really have any negatives whatsoever. Since that job (which was in September), I've recommended Hector's to two or three different people. If you have any home improvement type stuff to do, as much as Home Depot and Loews get all the press, Hector's is my tip for your best bet.

I was told it would be in just after 4 July. They took my info and wrote it and the price on a piece of paper. My husband went in a couple weeks later and they said next week. I called about a week and a half ago and they said it was in but they couldn't call me because they "lost" the paper with my number on it. When my husband went to pick it up he was told the sale was over and it was now the regular price! I called and said I didn't understand why I didn't get the sale price since it was them and Toro that advertised without enough stock. He call me back and said he's give it to me for $600 something. Still more than $100 more than I was quoted. The lady that was there when I went in remembered me and the situation but referred me to the owner. I didn't buy it and as much as I prefer to support local , which was why I went there in the first place , I will never buy anything more than a can of bug spray from them. I have an ACE near my work. I'm not even sure I will buy a Toro, but, we had luck with an old gas mower but wanted to upgrade to a battery powered one. Hector's has been my "go to" store for everything I need to fix something for 25 years if I am serious about getting what I need quickly and as efficiently as possible. They pack an enormous amount of useful items in comparatively smaller stores than Home Depot, Lowes or even Valu but you don't feel you are in "cluttered" stores. Everything is kept organized so you can find things quickly. They hire people that know exactly what you need and if they don't they are not afraid to ask the senior staffer. I have never left a store without either the exact item or items I need to complete the task or the knowledge to go exactly where I need to for whatever I am searching for that day. I do still visit the big chains for sale items on occasion but I feel when I go into those stores there is sensory overload with all the items and sheer size of the that I many times forget what I went there for in the first place!! The other thing that drives me to madness is the inability to find somebody to ask a question in the area I am looking. Sure I can find somebody for a question I have about some electrical project but I usually have to walk to the other side of the store before I find somebody and then that guy has to put a call out on the radio to the people who can handle electrical and maybe just maybe I will get an associate in the electrical area in 10-20 minutes. Go to Hectors for anything you need and I am sure you will walk out a happy camper in a fraction of the time it would of taken you with other places.

There's lots of shades to choose from, again organized by color. The prices for the items we looked at seemed fair. The store was very clean and well organized, making shopping a breeze. We went back to the same cashier that cashed me out the 1st time & she would NOT honor the 15% off since she already scanned it- even though I never left the front of the store & my husband was clearly with me. I understand the code may not have worked a 2nd time but she could have made an exception bc the 15% wouldve worked if I had put all items in the same transaction. My husband then asked her if theres a military discount to which she wasnt not thrilled about so I said YES, Its 10% off bc we have used it at that location before. He went show his military ID but of course he accidentally left it in his cammies. (His fault-he shouldve had it with him) however the cashier still shouldve applied the 10% to honor the veteran discount anyways. He has photos of his id & clear proof of his service. Wasnt good enough. So I said actually we wont be purchasing this then- my husband was kind enough to take back both heavy chair boxes to the section so that the cashier didnt have to carry them. We were completely unsatisfied with our interaction. Its not about the $20 we wouldve saved it was about the cashier's unfriendlyness & clear annoyance to be bothered by us late at night toward close. She should've made it right even if it meant calling a manager. Ive worked retail for years- id never question if someone was a vet or deny them their 10% if they forgot their card out of respect. People don't l typically lie about being a US service member over a few bucks. And really, the 15% shouldve been honored considering I never left the store and the transaction couldve been 1... I didnt realize he wanted to buy more items especially close to $200. I filled out the survey on the bottom of the receipt and it only allows me to type 1200 characters so I couldnt even tell the whole story. So thats why im leaving this review on yelp.
