Valley Park USA is a large paid parking lot within walking distance of the Reynosa - Hidalgo International Bridge on S. Joe Pate Blvd., right next to the Tianguis de Hidalgo flea market. Many people park here to walk across the bridge into downtown Reynosa.
To get here, as you're going south, you'll pass another paid parking lot which is usually always full, and turn right in front of the HKG Duty Free shop building. Go approximately a block and look for the entrance to the parking on the left. There is a small booth where you stop to receive your ticket with the time-day stamp. Do not lose the ticket as you'll need it to pay and exit later. The cost is $8 USD per day.
The pavement in the parking lot is not the best. The layout can be confusing. Watch out for seemingly random concrete parking bumps.
While the parking lot is mostly fenced in, and the man at the booth is always there, I don't trust security. It is not all well lit at night, only portions are. I use an anti-theft device.
No bathrooms. No amenities. Just parking.
There's no competition, so they can charge what they like and don't have to improve the facilities.
Do not think you can get away with parking over at the flea market's parking just because it's closed and there is an empty parking lot... they will have you towed in a macarena minute... They have a deal with the City of Hidalgo to charge you an arm and a leg. That's how they pay the hills. read more
