We like Valley View! We have brought our pets here for quite a few years. Every visit including today; the Vet and staff really take interest in your pet. They show concern, are attentive, and they are helpful. Their prices beat other vet clinics too. I don't really care for their call system, but their texting system is easier to get through. If you leave a vm or text, they do get back with you. They are no longer taking patients. But if you are already hooked up with them, you are in good hands! I also like that they see large animals and farm animals. I have not officially worked here. I am not a x coworker... but I have done Veterinarian shadowing here before and "filled in or worked/assisted" here before. I shadowed 5 different Veterinarian clinic in the area. Only this place and 1 other vet clinic treated animals with care behind the scenes. They were careful and not rough. They do not man handle your pet whether conscious or unconscious. They are careful when holding/gripping a pet. They do not throw your pet. And so many other things that I witnessed at other Vet clinics... they are great here! This a huge thing to me. Because I am an animal lover like many others. And care for the pet's well being. Valley View is a great establishment! read more

I cannot say enough good things about the vets, techs, and office staff. I have used them for 6 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They worked hard to help me do the best for my standard poodle with kidney disease. Harli went out of her way to earn his trust on his 4 day stay which put my mind at ease. They are thorough with their exams, take the time to answer ALL your questions, and always took my concerns seriously when I knew something was "off" with my boy and worked to get him in ASAP. When it came time to let him finally rest, all of us in the room had tears. That speaks volumes to me. They are family at this point. There is mention in other reviews that they don't answer the phone but they are REALLY responsive with texts and I have found that works better than multiple calls. Yes, they are not taking new clients but when they are, I suggest you high-tail it over there. Bonus: They take Care Credit!!! read more

We had an emergency and couldn't reach our regular vet. Valley View was the top of the list in my search and they said if ER to bring her in. They took her in immediately. The front desk was so helpful and understanding even in my panic. Dr. Hertle is amazing. Answered all my questions, didn't sugarcoat the situation and was honest and said when we picked her up she wasn't out of the woods. We appreciated that. Later that evening, after hours Dr. Hertle called me after I left a message and again reassured us. Even going so far to say, Don't give up and give it a few days to see how she heals. When you see your pet hurt it is hard to make rationale decisions and I know Dr. Hertle and the staff at Valley View are a blessing. We are transferring to them. Great Vet!!! read more

I didn't get a chance to actually be seen, bc my dog (who had a large abscess on his neck) wasn't considered an emergency and so I kept gettin pushed back for the real emergencies. I'm an animal lover, so I understand if someone's animal is in more of a dire need of attention. However, I felt my dog was an emergency as I felt it couldn't wait until Monday to get him in to his regular vet. Mind you I'm not posting anything bad about this vet hospital, just beware that your animal should be in a real emergency. read more

This place is pretty busy, Its kinda hard to get through on the phone which is disappointing. They use a text system to schedule appointments and if you text them a question they text back or call if needed, so that's helpful. The staff is nice, they're polite in the office and get things done pretty quickly as far as check in goes. The care quality is pretty good and Reasonable prices. read more

We needed to make the difficult decision to put our beloved pup to sleep. The doctor and staff were kind, compassionate, respectful and helpful. read more

Wonderful place! We had to put our kitty to sleep , and they were so kind and understanding. Gave us plenty of time to say goodbye. Didn't add to our grief with charging an arm and a leg and sent us a nice card of condolences as well. Thank you Valley View for making this very distressing situation much better. read more

Rant to Kristen at Valley View Vet. I have a specific thing going on with one of my cats. It has the potential to be very contagious to our baby kitten and possibly humans. I apparently am not aloud to call with concerns and it's been made VERY clear I don't have the right to be frustrated. After I made it very clear I didn't want to get into why I was upset AGAIN because at the end of the day I have a sick cat and don't want my other cat to get sick also. I was then proceeded with a Lecture on how "you can catch more flies with honey" along with multiple other things.. there was multiple back and forth calling, I was never able to speak with the vet. Kristen said everyone in the vets office new about the situation and my harshness. That's nice. I asked in a very neutral tone "am I not aloud to ask questions? Am I not aloud to be frustrated and confused because that's all I am doing?" I also said something along the lines of I needed to speak to someone that can be professional with me and listen to me instead of giving me a lesson on kindness. She told me "as a professional I have the right to say what I feel" something very close to that. I am a very kind, nice, well spoken adult and this is ridiculous and out of line. I haven't cried from having my feelings hurt in a LONG time. I felt like I was in high school. I was given the wrong instructions by the vet, which people make mistakes. This mistake had a large after math in my house hold and I have every right to ask for proper medications for our kitten and to show concern, ask questions and even show some frustration. I was never rude or disrespectful. I never got an apology, instead, what I received was a ton of out of line defensiveness from Kristen, a lecture and I was told I was wrong. I told her I will not be coming back to the office and she said "oh that's just fine." Sad, I trusted them, I've always paid on time with them and always raved about how nice and helpful the office is. The female vet was there for us in the time where we had to put our other kitty down. I have learned Kristen is nice until questioned and then she is just mean. Not rude but extremely mean. I need a new vet!!!!!!! read more

I have used this vet for many years and really like the staff and doctors...however, the front desk woman, Jamie, is not a very friendly person. Always very short with customers and rude as if the people who come in is an inconvenience for her. She gets snooty and just all around seems like she does not want to be there. Definitely needs to have better customer service skills or leave, as I've heard she's been there for a long time. There are other front desk staff there that are MUCH friendlier and always very welcoming. Jamie is not very personable and has the personality of a rock. read more

Love this vet clinic! Dr. Fisher is FANTASTIC and very personable and you can tell he truly cares about animals. It is great to have a vet that can make house calls as often it is my horse that is needing the attention and he is always reliable and speedy. They have also been great with my dog and kitty cats too. Jodi DeBartolo read more

My Japanese Chin was brought in for a lump on the back of his neck and a small infection on his outer cheek. The doctor diagnosed the problem and removed the lump without incident. Zat is now back to his happy self again. Thanks Valley View! read more

Visiting here from out of state, our dog injured her leg. They were able to fit her in just before closing. For a small establishment, they were quite busy but everyone took a moment to acknowledge we were there. Each of the staff were very friendly and kind. They saw Pepper right away and did not give us the runaround. Least invasive and most cost effective was what we were looking for. I highly recommend their facility and services...very professional. Thank you! read more

My husband and I were in Jerome ID to care for his ailing grandmother. When we noticed our dog started honking we thought nothing of it until the poor lil guy was up all night coughing I'd prop him up rocked him. So the next day we looked for a vet ASAP ! We knew it was Saturday but this we felt was serious. Upon calling Valley View Veterinary Hosp. Telling them our issue. She stated " Well, its either upper respiratory, Pneumonia but...we have no openings. Therefore she knew my dogs age and what was wrong with him. A person that is suppose to care about animals. Knew he could die. But was so aloof, nonchalant and cold heart-ed. We tried two more which were indeed open. But pretty much could care less. (I'm yelping them next) Sad to say on my lil sweeties 12th birthday just as we were leaving to get him home to our vet He suffocated from having Pneumonia and died. I am going to talk with an attorney about this all it would of taken was for them to check him out and give him some antibodies. Thank goodness my husband talked me into getting an autopsy before we buried him. Whatever their real reasons for not just looking at him I'll never understand. Maybe they just didn't realize in their field to care, we were from out of town ??? We'll be getting a court order of their schedule on that day and an affidavit ceasing all camera recordings read more

Dr Fisher and staff were all amazing to my cat Preecher i would definitely say its the best .thank u for all the love u gave my preecher i will never ever forget it read more

I called around town looking for a place to bring a puppy in for her second set of shots. Prices ranged from $50.00-$80.00 everywhere but here! They quoted $17.50 for shot, plus $2.00 for worming dose. Thought maybe when we got there the price would go up, but Dr. Kohtz did a wonderful, friendly job of checking the pup out, looking at her sutures from spaying and a quick check-up on teeth and over all health. Very informative, easy going staff! At the checkout the total bill was under $20.00! Amazing in this day and age! Thank you Valley View and thank you Dr. Kohtz! read more

We have been bringing our beloved dogs here for many years. It is always a great experience. They truly have a love for animals just like us. Always very friendly, knowledgeable and proficient in all vet care. They are much more affordable than other vets in the area. I will always recommend Valley View. Gary and Andy are wonderful vets and the entire staff is amazing. read more

Although the prices are good and the staff is pleasant, these people put my kitten through needless pain. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to have him declawed. They wrapped his feet and told me to remove the bandages in five days. He incessantly cried and whined. After getting into his water dish on the third night, I felt that the bandages should be removed until he was dry. When I tried to remove the wraps, I discovered, to my horror, that the bandages were not regular wraps. They were Elastikon adhesive tape which was put DIRECTLY on the kitten's fur and skin. I spent two hours trying to remove just one of these wraps as gently as I could. When I could not remove the bindings, I called the Vet and asked for an explanation. There was no gauze or anything to keep the wrap off the kitten's skin. He told me to bring the cat in. What ensued sounded like a horror film. The kitten screeched and howled as they RIPPED the bandages from his flesh, using no solvent to wear down the adhesive or pain killers. My poor kitten was bleeding from not only his paws, but the places where they had stripped the bandages from his legs. The Vet told me this has never happened before. However, when I called a different Vet in town to take a look at him, they said that they use the same tape and are AWARE that it will stick to ANYTHING it is put against, including fur and skin. They told me that they make sure to use gauze as to minimize the amount of wrap that actually makes contact with the skin and fur. But apparently this Vet had "never heard of this." My poor kitty went through a lot of needless pain and suffering because the staff FORGOT to put gauze on his paws. They were not even apologetic. Never, EVER again will I go to these people. read more
