To the point that I can't even feel happy about living in the home, now that it is complete. Their subcontractor made recommendations counter to established design criterion and basically ruined my 4 acre yard. The resultant fix will mean I won't have a yard for my kids to play in for another year. A 1000-2000K estimate suddently turned into a $6700 bill... post closing. Without a word of explanation, they expected us to accept their overcharges. And they were unable to handle simple problem solving. God forbid you make any changes to materials during the building process- they couldn't adapt. At one point after their sub had spraypainted orange marks on the basement floor, which needed to be cleaned, they suggested WE come in and do the work ourselves. With a carcinogenic cleanser & no proper protective equipment. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Absolutely horrid communication. Outright lies. And utter incompetence. That is what we got from Rucon. Oh-- and a house that makes me sad every time I think about it. Please-- If you are even considering giving Rucon any of your hard earned money-- reconsider. This builder USED to be reputable. I've talked with home owners who were happy with the company when it was run by the parents. Now that the sons are at the helm... There are lots of good builders in the Valley. Rucon isn't one of them. ** edited 12/14. It has been one year since we moved in. Brad, Andy and Lauren are very straight forward and easy to work with. During the process costs were up front and we never needed to inquire about extras... they simply tell you. The quality is unquestionable and they often remind you they "will make it right". They worked with us on a constantly developing vision and were receptive to changes right up through the week of closing. We would build again with them without question. An excellent group who has coordinated a great selection of sub contractors. We can't wait to build another house with Rucon as we couldn't have imagined a better process!!!!!!!!!! Hailey was very helpful the multiple times we met with her and talked us through all of our options and help explained the implications of each decision we were making. She also was very helpful with design ideas and guiding us to choose things that would work together. When we wanted a style or product they didn't have she was able to find it and get it in stock for us. She didn't make us feel rushed and she and the team did a great job installing all the tile and flooring. Hailey was very responsive and answered any questions we had quickly and accurately. Hailey also helped us on pricing when needed and if we were able to find the same product at a lower cost elsewhere she was always willing to price match. Some other people involved in our build would be visibly bothered by late changes or requests, but that was not at all the case with Hailey. Hailey and the whole team at Tile and Stone were great to work with throughout the building process and I would highly recommend them for any of your tile and flooring needs.

Ryan gave me a quote and made sure I was satisfied with everything before he even started the job. I had them lay bullet edgers around my house, plant several flowers for us, and fill in with red granite. I also had them extend our patio with red granite. Ryan and his team started at 8am and finished at 5pm. When they finished they cleaned and swept up everything and even planted some grass seed around the edging. They were awesome and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a landscaping job big or small.

We had many communication and he did the work timely. The patio looks good even though he didn't match the patio bricks with the existing patio. The problem is that we were installing a hot tub with a gazebo and the area is not the size we needed to fit the gazebo design we were going to install. We thought we were getting a 12 x 12 ft area which is what we needed for our hot tub and gazebo. On the day of excavating we went over what we wanted but because we didn't have a drawing and they didn't even take the time to get a piece of paper to do a simple layout so everyone would understand the way we wanted it was not done the way we wanted and could of been avoided with a drawing. The patio wasn't 12 ft wide which we needed. The footings were not in the correct place because the patio was not the correct size. Not only that they didn't leave the footings exposed so now we have to remove the blocks a dig for the footings. We contacted them to explain our concerns and they offered no resolution, not even to expose the footings, but blamed it on miscommunications. I feel that they are the professionals and should of made sure everyone understood what the plan was by doing a drawing. I wouldn't hire them again or recommend them. I wish we would of waited for Proscape who did our first patio, they are way more professional and do great work.
