Dr.Steffan was amazing, she was empathetic, caring, understanding and knew how to manage my particular condition. The issue I have with this particular place is that I have a condition that I called and asked who specialized in and wanted to work with that Dr., made the appointment & got the ball rolling with her. What I didn't know was that if I didn't specifically say I wanted to ONLY be scheduled with her every time, they will schedule me with anyone. Sometimes another PT specialist but most times a PT assistant. And not everyone at this location provides the same level of care. I gave other specialists a try (multiple times) before asking the front desk to only schedule me with Dr. Steffan every time or let me know when she wasn't available so I can reschedule. Which to me this makes no sense, how can you determine if you're patient is doing better or not if you don't see them every week? It doesn't make sense. I've gone to PT at another location for my back before, this was the first time I experienced a rotating system like this. The only location assigned you the same person every time you went in for your appointment. The front staff is great & will make sure to accommodate your scheduling request so if you do find someone you prefer to work with just make sure you let them know or you will be rotated through different PT specialists & their assistants.

Park Avenue Physical Therapy is outstanding in every way. This is my second time with this…read morefantastic team. I discovered them in 2018 when I had rotator cuff surgery and returned in January 2023 following a full knee replacement. An unfortunate side-effect from the knee surgery was dropfoot syndrome. Fortunately, the drop foot healed within 4-5 months and I give Park Avenue PT full credit for my speedy recovery. They treated the nerve with electrical stimulation and designed an effective program for my knee recovery as well. Some physical therapy providers are patient mills where they get you in and push you out. I appreciate the tailor-made rehab program I received, as well as the care at every level. I highly recommend Chris and his top notch team if you are looking for professional, thorough and friendly care for your recovery and physical therapy needs. I would choose them every time.
