Called and made an appointment for my wife and myself. She wanted a full set and I needed a manicure. We showed up exactly on time. They had clearly overbooked. She hemmed and hawed saying she didn't hear what my wife needed, even though we said full set and she repeated full set on the phone. She asked us to wait, and she could only do the mani pedis no acrylics. There was no air conditioning on, it was hot, and by our estimation it would be almost another hour before they got to us even though we had an appointment. No thank you. We said we were leaving. As soon as I walked in they sat me right down to get my pedicure started, I decided I also wanted gel nails and another worker came right away to assist also. They took there time and massaged my feet for a while. There customers were first priority. It has been more than two weeks and my gel nails have not peeled! I didn't make my appointment on time at this nail salon, I called to reschedule and the woman on the phone was very rude. Granted I called 30 minutes after my appointment, but a professional business wouldn't yell at you to tell you that they canceled a previous client for you. A professional business would not cancel a client over another, it was obviously a lie. I am glad I didn't make my appointment at this nail salon. I have been to this salon many times and although they do a good job, Vivi the manager, is constantly rude. Tonight she refused to do my nails because I requested she not use a drill on my bare nails. She said it was the only way, however the past 3,000 times I've gotten my nails done, they've never had to do that. Many people I know have had similar experiences. I won't be going back. read more

Valley Nails is awesome! They are easy and flexible to schedule appointments, and never keep us waiting. They have nice massage chairs and everything is clean and sanitary. I came here for the first time on Monday. I walked in with great expectations from reading these reviews and I walked out happy and excited because of how cute my nails came out. I had a gel mani ( I uploaded a pic) and a regular pedi. Both came out very good. My pedi lady took her time to make sure she got every cuticle off and when she polished,them she made sure they all were shaped. My mani came out great as well. My hands look so girly which is something I'm not used too LOL. Again I think what made the difference here is that they took their time to make sure the job was done well. Vivie loves her regulars and treats every customer with so much love. My nails always look great and Vivie always checks the process if she's not the one doing my nails. She's even stepped in to change my color halfway through the process because it was more purple than black. I didn't even say anything but she knew it wasn't right and changed it for me, so sweet! So I found a place called valley nail spa and wow I am beyond please! The yelpers were spot on. Valley nail is at the least extra clean. Not a single thing wrong and remember I worked on public health for over 20 years.now the nails and service... I wish I could bring these ladies home with me. She comes across angry, snippy, miserable and just makes an all around terrible experience in a salon. I get pedicures to feel relaxed and pampered, but instead I feel tense and on edge around her. I have given her salon multiple chances, but I just can't pay money for a service to be in such an unpleasant enviornment. I have witnessed her repeatedly snap at walk-in customers that they need an appointment. I understand the policy, but the way she says it to people is a complete turn-off. I need to find a new salon. They were able to still see me on a Friday evening at 5pm, which is great because they close at 6:30pm. Rosie is great (although at some times she poked a little too much and it hurted).
