Went here today for a manicure and pedicure. First time going. They are wonderful! It was quick. Prices are affordable. The staff are really nice. Everything felt clean. There were a few customers inside, so it's obviously popular. I was able to get a parking spot right in front, which is nice for a Sunday because Solvang can get busy on the weekends. I'll be back! I called a day ahead to see if I could get a pedicure on my visit to Solvang. I left a message and quickly I received a text saying she could do it the next day! I chose a time the day after since I was driving in at that time. To my surprise it was a 2 min walk from my hotel the Landsby. Also I was her ONLY client!! She does not take walk-ins or have multiple people working there which makes it such a personal and relaxing time. No rushing, does an impeccable job and you can tell she loves what she does even after 25 years in the biz! The things I loved most besides Vi Vi is her wonderful chair that is designed to self clean and prevent any germs or fungus while it massages your back. Also loved the fact that there are no chemical smells from acrylics. She does fingers with a dip method which is much better for your nails. I got a perfect mani-pedi here on a Saturday morning before attending a wedding. It was a little rushed, but they told me they had a wedding party of 10 coming in, and frankly I was a bit late for my appointment so I respect that they kept on their schedule. I've never had a manicure last so long, and the spa chairs were really nice. It was more expensive than the mani-pedi i occasionally get at home, but also a nicer salon and a more top quality job done, so I'm not complaining! Due to miscommunication within the business, they were not prepared for our appointment and then proceeded to treat us extremely rudely. Treat your customers with respect and don't embarrass them in front of your staff and other customers. Will not return. Update: the owner reached out to both my friend and I to rectify the situation and offered us complimentary certificates to make up for our terrible experience. However, when my friend tried to connect with the owner to claim those certificates and give them another chance, the owner ghosted and did not respond. The fact that the owner reached out and then did not follow through on trying to make it better was more disappointing than when her staff member treated us rudely. read more

They have so many gel and other colors to choose from but trust me it's not that overwhelming once you ask for help, John let me know about the colors that would compliment my skin and would look the best on me. Update: The owner is fabulous! She accommodated my request(below) and John is my new go-to technician (great pedi/ massage and mani gel application). A gem nail salon!! Recently, I found myself in the market for a new nail salon-- business drama/tensions at the old salon... not my taste. Valley Nails, though more expensive than some (and charge a $1 fee to use credit cards??), is clean, offers a fair amount of polish color choices, and the owner(s)/ technicians are customer friendly and articulate. The pedi message is fantastic! The gel mani is beautiful and the tech took the right amount of time and care into making my nails beautiful. The one true drawback for me is having two technicians completing nail services at the same time, e.g. pedi and gel mani completed together. This makes it almost impossible for me to enjoy the full pedi services and somewhat uncomfortable when I am asked to switch hands to reach the tech instead of tech moving location or merely waiting until the pedi is completely done. I know the mani gel must have time to soak off but that's my limit to combining the two services. I'll talk to them on the next visit... they're sure to accommodate. read more

This nail shop had pretty good reviews here on yelp, so I had to try them. I called a day prior to make an appointment. I made my appointment at 9am that's the time I seen they opened. I arrived at 9 am and I was the first one there, I was greeted and sat down promptly. Katie started doing my nails, let me tell you! She was AWESOME! She was very easy to talk to. She took her time, listened to my preferences and made my nails look great! Shop was clean, they had fancy spa pedicure chairs, had tons of color options. I paid 40 dollars for a gel manicure which is 10 dollars more than I pay at my regular place in Vegas but it was worth it.
