He…read moreworked with me to find the best stain color and with his son got the job done in a week after everything was moved out. I chose him because he presented well in the first meeting, had much attention to detail, gave a better quote than two others, and the scheduled start date worked for me as well. All of the furniture moved out and moved back in was unscathed. He was professional throughout except for one item. In my bedroom there was a 2" by 1" spot by the wood register where the wood floor was a little jagged. It would've been good had he mentioned it to me. Once the sander went over the spot it raised up and got worse. I didn't see it until a week after the job was completed. Peter shared his concern that there may be termite activity but together we checked it and such was not the case. I would've preferred that he alerted me to it initially and warn that the sander could damage it further or tell me that it had happened instead of my finding it later. I understood that he would return to repair it and was willing to pay him but texts to him re this went unanswered. The job is small and will require some time but in the meantime found a small container of the same stain but have not found anyone yet that can/will do the job. Thus the four stars.

I scheduled an estimate with West Coast Floor on 2/4 for 2/18 and was initially impressed when I…read morereceived a response within 13 minutes. On 2/11, I confirmed with Jesus that he would arrive between 1 and 1:30 PM--at no point did he mention that someone else would be handling the estimate. On 2/18, I took time off work and made the trip from Santa Rosa to my San Rafael property, only to be completely stood up. No one from West Coast Floor showed up, called, texted, or emailed. At 4:30 PM, I sent Jesus a message, assuming something might have happened. Despite his previous responsiveness, he never replied. On 2/19, I called the company and asked to speak with the owner--turns out, that was Jesus. I explained what had happened and asked why no one showed up. His response? "Jeff went home sick." This was news to me since I had been expecting Jesus himself. I pointed out the inconvenience, expecting any reputable business owner to immediately take responsibility and apologize. Instead, Jesus seemed aloof, only offering a half-hearted apology after I pressed him on the lack of communication. He then mentioned that they were doing a lot of "night jobs at resorts" and that their "days are short." If that's the case, why take on more work? The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic communication is unacceptable. If you value your time and expect reliability, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I wish I had more closely read similar reviews before wasting an entire workday with WCF, Jesus, and whoever "Jeff" is.

We chose Redeemed Flooring because of their reputation and Rudy's explanations throughout the…read moreplanning process. We had MSI Trecento XL Carrara Avell flooring installed throughout our home, and the finished flooring is absolutely beautiful. It has transformed our home, the new baseboards look great, and we are very happy with the overall result. The installation did take considerably longer than expected due to scheduling delays, the extensive floor preparation that was needed, and later an unexpected shortage of flooring material. The amount of dust generated during the work also made it necessary for us to stay in a hotel for 11 nights. What I especially appreciated was how Rudy handled the difficulties. He remained professional, listened to our concerns, apologized for the problems we experienced, and worked with us on compensation that covered much of our hotel expense. That willingness to listen and work toward a fair resolution made a big difference to us. Our advice to anyone planning a large flooring project would be to discuss scheduling, crew availability, dust containment, and material planning in detail beforehand. Renovations can have unexpected complications, but ultimately what matters is both the quality of the finished work and how a company responds when problems arise. We love our new floors and are very happy with how beautiful our home looks now.

If I could give Napa Floor Company more than five stars, I absolutely would. They didn't just meet…read moreour expectations - they completely blew them away. Our project required what can only be described as a Herculean effort to get a significant amount of flooring completed on an incredibly tight timeline. Somehow, they pulled it off. They mobilized quickly, were extraordinarily responsive, and worked incredibly hard to get everything finished when we needed it, without ever sacrificing the quality of the work. It was one of those rare experiences where you keep thinking, There is no way they're actually going to get all of this done this quickly... and then they do. Just as impressive was how patient they were with me about the color. I knew exactly what I wanted and they worked with me until we got the flooring color just right. They never made me feel rushed or difficult. They were patient, knowledgeable, gracious, and genuinely invested in making sure I loved the finished product. Every person we dealt with was professional, polite, responsive, and a pleasure to have in our home. Their pricing was competitive, their workmanship was excellent, and their customer service was exceptional. The finished floors are absolutely beautiful, but what impressed me most was the effort they made to get us there. Napa Floor Company went above and beyond at every turn. Five stars doesn't really cover it. I would recommend them enthusiastically and without hesitation.

Napa Floor Company did my floors before I moved in about a year and a half half ago. They do get…read moretwo stars instead of one because they were able to get my house on the schedule before my movers came. That said, they did not do a great job with the floors. I have found gaps, a floorboard chipped, and ones that obviously just weren't laid in line with the others. I was also pretty unhappy with the quality of the floor material - but since I selected it from their options, that's on me (although they told me that they really only had one brand option which was this Cali bamboo vinyl) Photos attached. When they did my closets, the guy only came after hours and he was basically drinking the entire time. He was nice enough and did a great job on the closets, just very unprofessional. I contacted the owner Allen shortly after I had the floors done and he said he would send someone to fix them. Like I said, it's been a year and a half and I haven't heard anything.

We hired Valley of the Moon to refinish our upstairs hardwood floors and replace downstairs carpet…read morewith engineered hardwood. Price-wise, they were the most competitive quote we got. Jason was great during the estimate and scheduling phase, he was responsive, easy to reach, and kept us in the loop before the project started. Once the install began, I would have liked more on-site oversight. I think some early in-person guidance from Jason could have prevented some later issues. The refinishing upstairs turned out well overall. They did a good job protecting cabinets and managing dust. We did notice some visible sanding and finish inconsistencies at first, but they acknowledged it and fully refinished the room at no extra cost, which I appreciated. It was inconvenient during move-in, but they stood by their work. The bigger concern was the engineered hardwood install downstairs. While it looks good overall, there are noticeable waves and hollow spots that seem tied to insufficient levelling. It's not realistic to expect perfection, but better prep would have made a difference. On the plus side, when we asked last minute to extend hardwood into the primary closet, they accommodated with leftover material and didn't charge extra labor, which was a really pleasant surprise. Timeline communication could have been better as we had to adjust our move when project slipped a few days, and I often had to ask for updates rather than receiving them. Bottom line: good pricing, nice people, willing to fix issues, but quality control and proactive oversight need improvement.
